I love how you incorporated pieces other than beads. Very inspiring. I would love to see a video on how you organize your beads. My collection has become overwhelming. Recently, I’ve shopped Temu for beads and charms. I’ve been pleased with the quality and you can’t beat the prices. I also shop Joann’s and Hobby Lobby.
Oh my goodness! OK, first, new subbie here! This is absolutely fantastic! Our esthetic is exactly the same! I've been making JJs for about five years and first found JJ dangles and charms at The Paper Outpost with Pam about four years ago. I put dangles and hangy things on anything that will hold still long enough and, honestly, I'm pretty good at it, but YOU have pulled the rug right out from under me with this! The 🥄 and the 🍄 are really cool, but the bottle!! The BOTTLE!! Girl!! Come ONNN! My hat is off to you! #respect!! I've watched you work on your grungy Christmas journal and am loving that as well. Again, our styles are mirrors of each other! I see that you're in Whittier - I'm in Joshua Tree about an hour and a half east of you (about a half hour north of Palm Springs). ...small world! There's probably five more minutes left in this vid - I had to stop and say hi - then I'm gonna go to the garage and make little bottle charms. I have all the parts, just never thought about putting it all together the way you did and THEN making a charm out of it. 😲🤯 Hope your day is going great on this Black Friday 2023! Hugs from the chilly desert, MK 🤗🌵🤗 WAIT!! You go to the Garment District?? There is no place to shop here except for Walmart and the Dollar Tree. I used to do the District maybe 40 years ago!! **heavy sigh**
I get a lot of my beads at Hobby Lobby. I also like to use old jewelry from my mom or my mother-in-law. Sometimes I find fun old jewelry at a very low cost at flea markets or thrift stores. I've also used a spoon on my journal charms. I look for them in thrift stores because I can usually find one that is from someplace I've traveled and they fit perfectly on a journal charm.
Love this charm! Makes me rethink about chotchke that I've collected. I have those little spoons. I used to go to a bead store, but they've disappeared. I get my beads at Michael's or from old, unloved jewelry.
Beautiful charm using all sorts of goodies, I love eclectic and using recycled jewelry is a great way to add such individual one of a kind. It was fun watching as well as your thoughts. I'm always hunting op shops for jewelry. It turned out such charming. You've inspired me to want to go make one now.
I haven’t personally bought any yet but I see soooo many people getting the cutest charms ever so cheap from Temu!! like for $1-$2 a pack!!! so I would definitely check them out if I were you! I absolutely loved this mushroom journal btw!!! it came together so beautifully!! 🌻🍄🥰
Great idea to put it on a paper clip!!
Great tutorial! You explain things so nicely! Love the charms too! I would love to see how you organize all your journaling supplies!

These are so cute, were do you get all the charms from?
What size hemp cord & beads? I always find the holes are so small and I can’t thread them on the beading cord that I buy.
i go to a trade day in falkville alabama, for my beads
