I created a wee gadget to help pull ribbon through beads and charms. I crimped the pin at one end about half an inch and added a tassel to the other end so it wouldn't get lost. Use it like a needle threader. Insert the crimped end through your bead hook on your ribbon and pull it back through your bead.

Thanks! I just added a stick pin with a snowflake charm to a Winter Blessing card and it’s the perfect touch.

Hello Mrs. Cog, your bead collection is to die for and thanks to you, I will start collecting beads to apply to my junk journal. It will be my first one (junk journal) and I hope it is as beautiful as yours is. Thanks for the video!

I had never seen or heard of Bulb Pins until last week when I stopped into Seattle Yarn. I saw them in pkgs of 25 for $5. I thought to myself, "Self, I can do something with those!" And here you are showing that you use them! And I thought I was so original! :))

Love the tassels with beads added to it.
You wont believe it, but i was just wishing to see something like this. A while ago I was gifted several rolls of crochet thread that the previous owner had strung with color co-ordinated beads. I was looking at them wondering if it would be hard to add them to tassels and wallah there you are right in front of me answering my question before i evr asked it.
Twice in the last year, I almost gave them away, as I downsized, but something stopped me. Thank you so much for this video right at the right time !! 😊

Thank you - this was so much fun to watch & so many ideas now to find where I've hidden the beads because I wasn't sure what to do with them. Mrs Cog - you are a delight to spend time with now off to purchase coiless pins which I had never heard of until today! I feel as though I spent my afternoon at Hogsworth with a wonderful professor.

Great ideas!!! I can’t wait to use some beads some using each of these ideas!
If I remember (and can find) I use “Floss Threaders (found in the dental care isle of your local stores) to thread ribbon through beads! It’s makes things easier!

Great ideas. Thanks for sharing your ideas. As a jewelry designer and using different material in junk journaling, I have found that using a small spot of Elmer's glue on the ends of certain types of "yarns" and rolling it a second or two between my fingers until stiff helps to guide the yarn through beads, too. You can cut that off once you have completed your tassel and/or other junk journaling items where you are using the beads and yarn. Sometimes a lot easier than trying to wrap scotch tape around the end of the more narrow yarn. I wouldn't attempt on bias tape, etc. ;)

I just found you and you are brilliant with the mason jars and returning the beads you poured into the lid. I have those plastic boxes with the dividers and my beads sectioned out in colors, i grab a few that I want in a project, then never return the unused beads to the box. I love the idea of the jars on a shelf where I can see them. Thank you!!!
