I called 4 auto repair centers and they all quoted me $389.00-$450 just for the spark plug tune up only 😭 I see why now this is a lot of screwing and unplugging 😭😭 I thought I could do it looks like I'm gonna be working every weekend for a month to afford the tune up because I don't even have any of these fancy drills. Great video my dad was a mechanic and I was his helper but he is in shop heaven 2010😢. Your voice and step by step process reminded me of how he would explain to me what he needed. ❤

Just did the job, this video is a FANTASTIC example of how you do a maintenance/repair video. Everything by the book w/ torque specs & sequence. My hats off to you, you've earned a like and subscribe!

So, this is cool. I have to replace all 4 O2 sensors, thinking at the same time I would do the plugs. This video just saved me a day of work. Do the plugs 1st, then get that O2 sensor sitting up by the firewall, and then the others. Thanks.

Great video that was easy to follow and I got the job done. My 2016 Explorer had one more electrical connector on the back, left corner of the plenum, but other than that all the steps were there. Thanks so much for this video.

Definitely the one and only video I’m gonna use this weekend when I do mines. I’m pretty intuned to doing spark plugs but wanted to make sure I was accurate when doing it this time around as it’s my first time doing them on this vehicle. 2017 ford explorer. Following your steps here, I’m now 110% sure I can handle the task. Already got the tools needed to start and finish the job. Just wanted to be sure. And your well put together instructional video did just that. Can’t thank u enough. And yes, I did hit the like and subscribe button for more vids🙌🏾👌🏾😬

Awesome. This video was a very nice step by step. Appreciate the torque sequence. Would recommend long long nose plyyers for getting a torn coil boot out.

Is the toque for the spark plugs the same on a eco boost?

Do you suggest using dielectric greaseon the spark plugs/boots?

3.5L V6 have the same spark plug gap. Why not state what it is in the video?--that is by far one the keys to engine performance. According to data found on the internet, which could be true or false: 0.049-0.053 in (1.25-1.35 mm)

Thanks for the video. It was easy to follow, and I was able to do this myself. It wasn't as bad of a job as I initially thought it would be. I watched another video and they removed the whole airbox assembly which was completely unnecessary. I didn't want to take it in to have done because I don't trust anyone to actually change out the rear plugs!

Note : if you see oil on your plugs you need valve cover gaskets !!

Is there a torque spec for the throttle body bolt?

And yes folks, 11ft/lb is all you need for a ford. Can’t stand that they still don’t use crush washers like EVERY OTHER STINKIN MANUFACTURER. I tend to do 13 since 11 feels hand tight, but dear lord don’t do anything more than breath on them..

This is not a hard job to tackle by yourself. My problem was that my coil boots kept getting stuck and not coming out with the coils.
