    good video again heather, I remembered many years when I have started this hobby I was in my fifteen and I see you trying the best products possible and helping people to make cars amazing, now, I made cars look like the art I hope in the future you make it, for me still I m doing I am 50 years old and every time I put my passion on any car and transform in art, heather always follows your dream and good luck.

    I used to always use the microfibre style pads and mitts shown in your video but then I read the article by Pro Detailer Magazine who did a test of all wash media and found the noodle ones to be the safest for your paint so I switched over to them.

    Really enjoyed watching this after your bare essentials video. I got into car detailing about a year ago, although I am not keen on spending money unnecessarily, I am definitely not on a budget, but it was good to see what you consider doing the job perfectly well and then what would be an improvement on it. I do agree on the Karcher hose upgrade. I hate having to move it and the electric cable! I also love the tyre and wheel brushes!

    The best product I've found so far is Carpro Ech2o. I don't always have access to a hose so I use 40ml in my rinse bucket. Offers me absolutely streak free drying, which I'm not able to get otherwise. Works great on a baking hot car, so it's just priceless for me.

    Another great video that will probably cost me money. I have most of these products and I recently had to replace that plastic hose on my K5 but I got an upgrade from the Karcher service Centre 5 miles away it is 10M long and barely ever kinks. The best upgrade I have ever bought. You might have sold me on the C4 but having recently bought a new one to try it may be a while. The other temptation was the foam cannon but having 3 already it seems a waste but it does have a wider opening and base the two things that drive me potty with my ones. Thanks again.

      Thanks very much! I'll see what I can do! If you're looking for something glossy, the Garage Therapy Ceramic Sealant and Sigma are both great. The Ceramic Sealant is more durable (4-5 months) but Sigma is a bit quicker to apply and lasts around 6-8 weeks for me

    Nice selections there Heather, with you ref windscreen coatings but im very limited on time so stick to using AM rain sealant, does the job well for what I need but next upgrade for me will be a large pump up foamer as I don't have a outside tap where i live and feel just applying citrus prewash to my daily once a week isn't sufficient when using a snow foam on top would. Hope your well.

    Well thought out video, had use of the tyre dressing applicator last week really useful tool. Think i might need to upgrade my blower from a mini, does take quite a bit of time to get the car done. I also used the Pyramid Ceramic Pro last week, quite a nervy experience following the steps to try and get it right.

    • @AutoCareHQ

Basically the same applies for every upgrade you have mentioned, and this video is jam packed with useful information to everyone. Some great ideas for upgrades Heather. I really need bite the bullet and buy a quick release short trigger! The tyre dressing brush looks good too. Have you had any wiper judder with the Pyramid glass coating?

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cheers Steve! Honestly you'll not regret getting a short trigger! Nope I've never had any judder with the coating. It's dead important to prep the glass well though, I think if it's applied over any water/ soap stains and it's not completely clean then I can imagine it getting judder. I'd recommend giving it a quick polish with CarPro Ceriglass or using a water spot remover if the car is fairly new before applying it :)

    Good video Heather, i have most of them but have always struggled with wheel brushes. and have bought loads in the past. i like the look of that Mammoth Woolly Wheel Wand & would be grateful if you could give me some indication of what size gap the would get into because my Discs & Callipers are soo big..👍🏻

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Cheers Alan! The wheel wand is brilliant, it's the only thing I've found that'll fit between the brake disk guards on my car. It compacts to about 3-4 cm so I'd say if the gap is around 5 cm or more to give it a bit of clearance then you should be good to go!

    • @alantaylor2
      @alantaylor2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Heather, I will order one. My wheels are a nightmare to clean 19”” 14 spoke satin black but hopefully that wand should help . 👍

    • @alantaylor2
      @alantaylor2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Heather, I tried the wheel wand today for the first time & it’s brilliant. I was able to 100% clean my rear wheels & about 90& of the front. It’s the first time that I have been totally happy with the wheels since I first bought the car. I also bought a new wheel mitt even thought I have the GT wheel mitt & a Dooka Osha. The GT mitt is just not flexible enough for my wheels & the Dooka is very soft but kept slipping off my fingers.
      My new mitt is a Dodo Juice Captain Crevice fingered mitt. ( that’s a truly horrible name). It is absolutely perfect for my needs, extremely soft & flexible & gets into all the nooks & crannies with ease.. I thoroughly recommend both & thank you for you input & advice .

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@alantaylor2 I'm really glad you like the wheel brush! I was the same when I first used it, nothing else was really cutting it for my wheels as the only other type of brush which worked was the EZ/ bristle style ones which feel a bit too harsh and unnecessary considering my wheels never get too bad! I'll have a look at that mitt too, thanks for the recommendation!

    • @alantaylor2
      @alantaylor2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AutoCareHQ I agree Heather, the EZ brushes do reach into nearly everything but i think they will scratch delicate wheels especially Matt black due to the amount of pressure needed to clean grubby wheels.. I personally have never got good clean wheels using them as i don't think they hold enough suds/liquid. Ok for professional detailers or for someone else's car.
      The Dodo Juice mitt was a surprise for me because it looked too big to be effective & i have very small hands but it was far better than mitt/wash media i have used despite buying many..

      I use the Garage Therapy car shampoo through a lance most of the time and that works really well. I go for about a 1:9 ratio 😊

      @@AutoCareHQ tjanks for the heads up , just watched your video on the shampoo seems very slick , what it like through a lance ? I didnt see any shots of it through a lance in your video.... does it come out foamy like snowfoam?

    • @AutoCareHQ
      @AutoCareHQ  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm using it on the video next Sunday actually but yep it's pretty foamy at that dilution. It's not super thick but it clings enough to get around it with the mitts

    • @SilverTrill
      @SilverTrill 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AutoCareHQ that's sound perfect , I tried bilt hamber shampoo in a lance and it was terrible!! too watery and zero cling and that was a higher dilution rate compared to using it in a bucket , I look forward to your video next week in the meantime keep detailing 🔥😎💪🏾

    No matter how much you spend on car detailing products your car will not stay clean under normal conditions especially tyre dressings as your tyres are in contact with the road and get dirty quickly. Cars only stay shiny if you have them off the road, under cover in a garage etc & don't bother driving them. I learned many years ago that no matter how long you spend cleaning your car, it won't stay clear for long.
