    I wouldn't really mind the toilet door being transparent. What would bother me is the aroma from the potty.

    This would FLY in Australia or the western world. Expats would move here in a heartbeat. It’s not very homely but it’s an art gallery which would have a lot of curious guests so the couple would never be bored!

    Very nicely done! Most of the time, Singaporean renovations put very little emphasis on art, music and plants, so this looks great and I’m sure as long as it works well for you, it’s the best home.

    Whilst all the videos of the houses that's been up on CNA's youtube feed has been super trendy & really nice, I do hope there'll be more takes on what a 3 Gen or 5 room current BTOs might look like with cool features and space saving elements that i think a lot of Singaporeans are looking at. Might be an interesting take for those who are keen to know more on living efficiently today :)

    • @seanlow2033
      @seanlow2033 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Actually - having the sink away from the toilet is very hygienic - studies have shown that poo and urine fly around the bathroom after you flush - it is recommended that you close the toilet lid before flushing, but particles have been found to have escaped. I keep my toothbrush and towels OUTSIDE my toilet!

    1:20 why did she say use cement as backdrop? that wall is clearly tiled. And open toilet in bedroom is not a good idea, firstly there's the smell, a small exhaust fan on the small window will not remove the smell fast enough, secondly the bacteria will fly around, and how about liquid when using the sink?

  • @Lee-vo4by
    @Lee-vo4by 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    - The dining chairs are not comfortable if going to watch the projector screen for a long time, e.g. movie night. Sofa is way more better.
    - The guest bathroom cannot be locked. Personally, I don't feel secure while using the bathroom since the door can be opened any time.
    - No privacy due to no doors to master bedroom and bathroom. Isn't it awkward to see your partner doing toilet business? Good luck if the couple has an argument. No sofa in the living for the husband to sleep. Haha..
    - The table in the study/walk-in wardrobe is not conducive for working. You see how the male owner sits, the table is restricting his movement and it has this "kerb" thingy which the hands has to be placed on.
    Looking at the flat design, we can probably conclude the couple don't plan to have kids (at least for now).

    Good idea.Can be considered as performance art that any guest that comes over can participate in.
    Write a poem on the unifying aspects of going to the potty just like the rest of humanity.Probably very relevant during these times.
    No matter how elite or special you think you are, even Queen Elizabeth II needs to visit the potty and it will not smell like flowers and clean up is not a breeze.
    Therefore we should always be humble and respect one another as nature is always reminding us that we are all alike no matter what.
    This poem can be framed and hung in front of the potty so that we may meditate on its meaning as we defecate.
    The experience will not always be the same as the stress of the defecating session will not always be the same due to ones diet.( Briyani and Fish soup very different )
    This can lead to another conversation with regard to ones diet and gut health etc..
    With the transparent door, guests may observe this gritty performance and discuss about it whilst sipping on some Tea, Wine or Whisky.
    The smell will add an additional dimension to this performance as well as a time keeper as to when the conversation may move on to other topics.
