Colombo looks much cleaner than in India and Pakistan
I'm from Pakistan and I admit Sri Lanka is alot cleaner than Pakistan.. actually we don't have any efficient trash and litter collection system in place..we need to learn it from SL..
SL is the cleanest country in South Asia (comparatively)
Cleaner and peoples are much disciplined than our Pakistan and India, must visit destination 😀

Tourist was hit on the tunnel wall . If anyone hanging out turn towards the engine. Then you can see what's coming in front. When you trun your head backwards all ways possibility to hit on a lamppost, tunnel wall, bridges, or passing train .

It's good that you gave the disclaimer about hanging out of the train. Of course, locals know about the risks but foreign tourists get very excited to do it and they don't usually think about the risks. I've seen videos of tourists doing crazy poses hanging out of trains for Instagram, and it's just stupid. And if tourists get hurt while doing something without using common sense (in any country) that makes that country look bad.

Hi Nomac, what you are doing is great to appreciate Sri Lanka it’s people, culture and landscapes. Just an advice to take extra care when hanging out of moving train especially in hilly areas where train go through very tight series of tunnels. Last month one of the french tourists got injured and had to be taken to Colombo for treatment. A friendly advice.

Hi Mac Sri Lanka Railways is one of the last remaining railways in the world to continue to use the Tyer's Tablet system for signelling. Was first used in the 1850's I suppose...Speak to the station master and check out that price of history the next time you are at a train station bro..cheers

Use machan as "Bro" sometimes you don't use it on women or older people. and instead of saying "subha udesanak" just say Good morning, they'll greet you with "morning, everyone knows that word even they don't speak english. We use "Subha udesanak" in professional settings most of the time, but its a nice word. Goodluck
Strangely "Subha" is same word as in Arabic and Urdu where it is also meaning morning?..

Try to take the old train on your way back to Colombo. Then you can experience real fun of life before, the ride on this train will shake your whole body all the way but the simplicity and beauty of sri lankan life is felt on this train, actually from my perspective. Great videos, been there myself three times and dont forget to go to Nuwara Eliya and visit Heritance Hotel. Theres tea plantation there and you can join local pluck the tea leaves. Also great milk tea there

Nice of you to caution your viewers on the risky side of travelling by the train doors. One French tourist got hit on the mouth of a tunnel last week and fell off the train. Luckily escaped anything major but it sure may not be the same.

Friendly reminder - Always make sure the tuk tuks you use have a taxi meter. Or else you'll be overcharged.
Also ask them to use the taxi meter if they have one, if not they won't use it and may still overcharge you.

Yes I liked inform that too. Better take a tuk turn with a meter.It prevents you from being over charged.I felt some are over charged for a short distances. May be the Colombo city price.
