Sri Lanka's CRAZIEST Taxi Driver 🇱🇰

- We leave Kandy and head towards Dambulla via one of the craziest taxi drivers. The World Squad@LukeDamant, @GoWithAli and @harryjaggardtravel take a 2 hour drive north and stop at Sri Lanka's favorite pizza shop... which happens to be Pizza Hut. After that, our driver inputs some of this tobacco known as chewing betal in his mouth and you can tell he has a buzz kick in later in the video when he begins passing cars at high speeds. After we arrived (luckily) safely, we take you with us for a tour through our rural villa.

From the looks of it, that's a fruit called " Nelli" or Amla. And very healthy.
But from your reaction it's probably unripe, cause ripe Nelli is actually have a pleasant taste. (Sour but not unpleasant)
And colour of that says it probably dry, because it usually has a bright green colour.

The best part is water will taste very sweet if you drink soon after you eat the fruit. And as far as I know, raw or ripe the fruit tastes bitter. But very rich in medicinal values. Used a lot in ayurvedic preparations.

Hey, the thing you ate in the van at the beginning of the video called “Nelli” it’s a very healthy fruit. Trust me you eat two three pieces and drink water then you will feel sweet flavor. Try it while you are in Sri Lanka.

I think it would be cool if the 4 of you made this a normal thing. I understand that's difficult but its such a cool concept n unique take on travel vlogs. Everyday I watch all of you and it's cool seeing one of you in the background n then watching that vlog n getting context. It's also cool when you split up do your own thing n randomly meet up again. (Luke being the exception because he's still posting Pakistan vlogs but I know its coming lol). You could even create a "vlog squad" style channel n post shorts n bloppers.

One small point to note though the petrol is relatively cheap vehicles are taxed 300% so the initial cost is very high. Also the Diesle is subsidized by government as public transport use Diesle and buses are lower in taxes when importing

Hi! The small sour fruit that you guys ate is Amla. In Sri-Lanka it’s called as Nelli. It has loads of health benefits
The green fruit is called gooseberry in English. Amla in hindi, nellikai in Tamil.
