Simon, if you're starting with getting a new look I say hit up thrift stores. You can find things there that are cheap and if you end up not liking the look it's no loss. I tend to buy coats, sweaters and shirts at thrift stores but shoes are hard to find for me because the guys in my city have baby feet and I don't like buying pants because I wonder if the guy who had them before didn't wear drawers lol. I must say this is one of the best vlog you ever uploaded. The fact that you are focused on our age range makes it the best TH-cam channel out there. I own most of the products (boots, sneaks, jackets)from Thursday that you showed here and that makes your style suggestions even more relevant. Worth mentioning that the denim should be straight ,or slim or athletic and always somewhat tapered. The days of boot cuts are long gone. I know it takes a while to create and squeeze all that info into 10 min video. Thanks again John , much appreciated !

This year I have gone from slim to straight jeans, well I am 52 so should grow up a little. Plus I have gone high end for my jeans too, which do fit better then mid range and hold the shape longer. Love the ideas and of course keep up the good work for us old cool cats.

Legend: A long sleeve polo knit really fits in with the classic British Mod look that I like to wear. Add a pair of suede desert boots to finish the look. Temperatures slightly lower over here on the UK east coast so autumnal fashion pretty much an all year round thing! 😂

LEGEND. Great recommendations! Only thing I'd suggest, that cleaned up my look even more, was tucking in my shoe laces or exchanging them for elastic no show laces.

Legend I couldn’t tell if the shawl cardigan was navy blue or black. I am assuming it was navy blue. These two colors are hard enough to tell apart sometimes in person, but usually quite difficult on a video.

John this slim fit jeans fit you so nice. I need buy skinny jeans in more modern brands and i look on them like you in slim fit 😁 When i try slim fit i never have this straight leg look because excess material at ankle always stacking in different ways and when i go try no brake look they started to look like flare jeans and this flood pants effect. In skinnies there is less room at ankle area so they more proportional and straight leg look with gentle taper. Thanks for you I do couple changes in my wardrobe .

Dark denims are very versatile and called the "chameleon" of 👖 trousers...dress them up or down, it's a matter of WHAT you're combining them with! Fit...Function & Fashion. I've learned those " rules" through another site. Very true on the appropriate side of things! Your channel is great! I've learned Alot with site and others as well...keep up the great 👍 work! John I really really liked this video p,and feel it’s one of the best so far..👍 I agree with you regarding “Thursday” boots as I bought a pair and living in the UK, wasn’t sure about delivery etc etc, but I need not have worried as they were fantastic having ordered the incorrect UK size, they just exchanged with no quibbles. They are also the best boots I have ever owned.
