A retro ups and downs from this time would be interesting - great vid
True
There's a point, has Retro Ups & Downs gone again?
Yes - I was trying to be subtle 😅
I love these videos, but I laughed out loud how the first thing on a "things you didn't know" was something we already knew, then you say "it's not like we only realised this recently either" 😂
"If you're an actual fan, you don't get excited about bad business". I agree Simon, you should let everyone else at WhatCulture know that.
1995 Shaq was with the magic not the lakers
You have the story confused. Jarrett left after in your house 2 in July 1995 and came back in December 95. He never went to wcw until october of 1996.
And Shawn Michaels got beat up by 1 guy. Well established
1995 was nightmare for WWF
It was a nightmare for WCW as well.
Bold of u to think I didn't know these facts
This is why gimmicks and "names" are very important. No one is paying big money to watch a pro-grappling match with the main event being Glenn vs Mark.
Poor Simon; even he can't track Jeff Jarrett's mid-90's flitting between companies. He returned to the WWF in December '95, got legit injured by Ahmed Johnson in Feb. '96, and quit AGAIN at some point between then and his '96 WCW debut...
Always an entertaining time watching one of these videos
I never knew they hired bill watts ! Killing part bill thru shade on the wwe in that promo interview! 2 years before that😂
I have a soft spot for this time its a guilty pleasure both WWF and WCW
Yea, those were the lean years, but we hardcore fans stuck it out and made it to the late ninetees.
And we had ECW as an alternative to the big 2. WCW launching Monday Nitro was the fuse that woke up VKM from a much needed rest after the first 4-5 years of steering WWE through the lean years.
WCW's bad stuff was at least funny
Simon seems to forget that the British Bulldog and Sean waltman were with Shawn Michaels the night that he got attacked and they also verified that it was one Marine the only one that has ever said it was nine was Shawn Michaels
I love 1995! Donkey Kong Country 2, Yoshi's Island, Chrono Trigger and EarthBound all in the same year! And Toy Story in theaters! Great year.
I can't believe that's what PCO used to look like just blows my mind 😮
Why does Simon sound different?
Thank For the Facts Video and Happy President Day 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙🦅🌟🥇🏆
Nice list.
Looking back at the WWF in 1995 I can see that it was (mostly) bad. At the time I wouldn't have seen that b/c I was 7 at the time. Now being 35 I can look back at this time period with adult eyes and agree how bad it was lol However, it doesn't stop me from going back and watching RAW and the PPVs from this time period :)
Raw in those days had higher ratings than today's Raw
@@alexanderarce3341 Well yeah even WCW in 2000 had higher ratings than shows do now, and it was the shits back then lol Hell in 2000 WCW was still getting like a 3.0 as bad as it was for them that year.
I definitely did not know any of these things in 1995, then again I was also born in 1995
A wild slapnuts appears
Anyone that watched wwe in 1995 knew these facts already.
I mean a 11 year old me didn't care because I was enjoying it with superstars on Saturday afternoon and Saturday night with WWF wrestling challenge. Also Smoky mountain, uswa and Ecw. Good times.
Ah 1995 the time when WWE went dark
1995 maybe was not good but at the same time if you was a 11 year old good like me it was fun to look at WWF on Saturday after superstars and Saturday night for wrestling challenge. Also as an add on you has Smoky mountain wrestling, usaw and Ecw broadcasting on syndicated channel like TV 38 in Detroit.
I was at SummerSlam 95 and I met Bret Hart and sunny Chris candido Hitman Justin credible had sunny days
The thing I loved most about WWE in 1995 was that eventually it ended and went into 1996.
The change from 95 to 96 for wrestling in general was a complete 180
I hear Simon i watch !!! simple!! 🤷🏾♂️
Crank "Zombie" by the Cranberries!
I loved 1995. I’ll take WWF, WCW, and ECW, in 1995, over wrestling in recent years. I’ll take 1995 as a whole over recent years.
i liked it at the time, it was my first year watching
The year I was born 😎
I adore the year 1995 😊 the last year of my nonexistence
Whats going on with the end of your sentences?
I will forever say In Your House Great White North was a fun show simply for the fact I was a child holding the Bret hart heart in the intro
That said, wanna know why that PPV failed
No Canadians wrestling
BRET WAS ON COMMENTARY
And Owen wasn't on the card so it had not alot going for it and even less at show time
I liked it! I was 8 in 1995!😅
Pco was right
So, when are we getting the why some children are idiots video?
I was born in 1995
That was the stupidest thing I ever saw how HBK Shawn Michaels lost his smile so he forfeits the WWF Intercontinental Championship, also Vince McMahon let the Kliq get away with murder (helping to get rid of & release good talent who the Kliq hated & despised having Vince in their pocket), also Vince letting Pat Patterson get away with working behind the scenes (& doing gross & disgusting things) as Vince let this go on doing nothing to prevent or stop it.
I saw a picture of Triple H as Hunter Hearst Helmsley last night, and I just went to my wife that this is the guy that’s in charge of the company now
And she couldn’t believe it. I mean it was 30 years ago but that’s OK and I told her that every wrestler in the 90s had to have some kind of job or career attached to their name like a dumpster like a clown a dentist a blue blood all that fun stuff.
❤❤❤❤
1995 brought me, awful year lol
I would argue that Vince Russo era WCW in 2000 is worse than 1995 WWF mainly because WCW at that time had some absolutely awful storylines & moments like everything that happened with Jeff Jarrett & Hulk Hogan at Bash at the Beach 2000 & the very bad NB Rising PPV in Vancouver Canada.
WCW 2000 > WWF 1995
At first, I had no idea that Kane was previously Isaac Yankem, DDS.
Seriously?
Sugar coating being a drug addict as a tough time, you're being way to kind to him.
1995 WASNT A GREAT YEAR FOR WWE FOR MONET WISE AND 1/2 TALENT ROSTER!
