0:08 blend motors are US on mine, were blowing constant cold I didn't fancy removing the dash, but with the aid of a video on here, you can locate the terminals in the HEVAC unit for driver and passengers blend motors, using a 9v battery and power open / closed (reverse polarity) I got them both to a happy medium, so I've got some heat for the winter, without being to hot in the summer. there is also a small fan in the dash above the radio from memory, you can see it in your video, not sure exactly what it does regarding the heating possibility sensing the return air in the cabin, mine was still spinning but the sensor was completely blocked with twenty plus years of fluff.
The little fan is the sensor for the cabin temp. The blend motors are a bit of pain todo I know, but you can have the whole dash out in a few hours or less. I have todo it on my other one soon.
Explain this. Three years ago I fitted Britpart blend motors and soon after one stopped working but 99% of the time the heater did what I wanted it to do. Last month I changed the o rings of the heater matric and set the 'dead motor' to the central position. What I got was a face full of very warm air. The solution, buy and fit another set of blend motors and low and behold the heater is no longer pushing out hot air. You say it's because I changed the blend motors, I say they are still coming in the post. Answer It is a P38
Did you do the re calibration after? I didn't once and the blend motor managed to break the Pot inside. On my other P38 I have issues with the blend motors buts its not the motors its the HVAC unit itself- the plastic has shrunk over the years and causes the motors to stall as its to tight inside the flaps. Although on hot days its fine :) got to love HVAC issues.....
I would say that's more blend motor issue. The symptoms of this sensor not working are the blowers blow hot air but the fans won't go to high speed on auto

@@LandyManLewis there is no one around the Chichester area who knows how to recalibrate them this side of September.
@lauriepocock3066 I know someone near hook who is roughly an hour away. If you are ever down that way? Have a quick look at nancom services on ebay.
pretty sure the o-rings are shot on the heater core!
looks like it, although I have cleaned them for now and no more leaks as yet! lets hope it stays that way. I don't fancy stripping the dash again :)
Do you think a faulty heat sensor would cause the unit to not run heater, even though the unit is turned up to call for heat?

@@LandyManLewis thanks I’ll check into it more. Try to find someone in my area who has a nanocom.
@simonstuhl4170 what area are you in?
@@LandyManLewis I’m in the states
