I remember driving my brother to school and singing along with the 10,000 days album. My brother said one time “hey who sings this?” I said tool. He said “why don’t you let them sing it then.” I was so mad but it was a hell of a zinger at me. Flash forward years and I am married with a child and I look back. My brother struggled with addiction, our high school mascot was the warriors. My brother watched all of his friends graduate and start careers and he was in and out of rehab. A warrior longing to stay relevant, a warrior struggling to stay relevant…. I love tool. But I never expected it to ring home so true. I tell myself it’s just a band, it’s just some dudes with talent. But those “dudes” hit home harder than anything ever has. Thank you for this song. Thank you for being the soundtrack for my adult life and helping me get through the shit. My brother Died 9/26/2018 face down on the sidewalk of overtown Miami trying to buy cocaine but got fentanyl instead. I miss him a lot and I’m furious he never saw me get married or saw my daughter. The music doesn’t make it better but it puts my mind in a younger state. I was at this concert with my wife and sister and law who never met him and they saw how it affected me. Thankyou tool, you have helped me get through hard times, and you have helped me remember my past as hard as it can be
A longer life is not a better life... Its better than going through the angst of seeing all that you believe in trashed. Most of us are holding on only for our near dear ones. Your brother is in a better place. The good leave early. Addiction is not a ailment, it is the symptom of hopelessness in a society which got wrong on all sphere of being human.
I was there it was a spiritual experience. I was in a trance. This was the best show I've ever been to. They rocked , so hard. Sounded like the albums. It was amazing. Goosebumps thinking of it right now.
Yes indeed. I saw them 20 years ago and I still get goosebumps when I think about that show. So amazing. Saw them in '19 and will be seeing them again in 2 weeks. Tool is something to experience live. Video doesn't do this band justice. Phenomenal.
I went to the Anaheim show in January, then decided to go to Las Vegas show 2 nights later. Added the Vegas show was over it marked my 6th time seeing them live. It shocked me that he would allow us to film the last song. Fully amazing and they never have disappointed me.
i went too. had nosebleed tickets, got there late in the middle of fear inoculum. ushers rushed to me to say there was a desk on the 4th floor. went to the desk, they were filling out fucking side stage - section 1 - Row 6 seats right next to Justin Chancellor. He was bad ass the entire show.
I was there. It was my virgin live Tool experience. I'm 39 years old and I can say in all honesty......this was the first concert that I've ever experienced that literally took me out of my body and I experienced something special happening, every soul there became one......and the movements of our collective body were being directed by the genius before us. Words fail. It was......beautiful beyond measure.
Wow. You made the greatest TOOL live video ever. Thank you. I’ve paid thousands and seen dozens of shows. Never have I seen anything this good. Well done.
Whoever filmed this did an excellent job, this is top notch recording. Watching it feels like I'm at the show. This was my favorite song from the last album, especially that part from 10:57 to 12:15, I like how they're just jamming to that same riff for over a minute.
Surfmiami, AMAZING camera work…you captured the band perfectly, wonderful timing and focusing on the various band members at the best time…WELL DONE!!! JSC
Thank you for posting! This is awesome. I was there with my 15year old son, he was seeing them live for the first time. He loved the concert, the experience. I’m sharing the video with him asap. He’s going to love this!
I've seen tool 5 times.( and 100's of other bands ) "Descending" at the end of the set list in Spokane, WA. March 3rd 2020 just before the lock down was most incredible live performance I have ever witnessed. This was fucking amazing 👏
Was there in Spokane. The music of Tool is so authentic and the quality of the sound in a large arena venue has to heard to be appreciated. 👍🏼. I love Tool and everyone associated with this incredible group of Artists
Was there , mind totally blown and ass completely kicked … This was not seeing a band performance, this was an EXPERIENCE ! A visual assault on the senses . Can’t tell you how many great shows I’ve seen but there is truly nothing like a TOOL concert ! Period ! Thanks for posting this !
Not only music but pure and simple art!great!thanks for sharing this masterpiece with all of us!hope to see them live once in my life!unfortunately they didn't still play in Italy...hope they add some dates for this amazing experience!greetings here from Italy Tool army
Awesome video. Listening to Tool is mesmerizing and live blows me away. You had great seats….you’re lucky to have had this experience. Thanks for sharing.
I had the weirdest moment with this song. When I saw Top Gun: Maverick, it was a very emotional experience for me. I’m 64 and have seen the original many times. If you’ve seen the new Top Gun, then what I’m about to say may ring true for you. I was in tears for most of the movie. I could not stop thinking that the movie is a commentary on Tom Cruise’s life. The tone of the film and some of the quotes: “The end is inevitable, Maverick. Your kind is heading for extinction.” “Maybe so, sir, but not today.” I could not stop thinking about this song and how Cruise is struggling to remain relevant at his age. That’s why he’s making movie after movie while he still can. And then I realized the whole experience…the tears were about me as the warrior struggling to remain relevant…consequential. I was blown away and can still tap into the emotions of that day. Thankfully, Tool will always be relevant and influential in our lives.
I went to the Sacramento show last month it was beyond amazing! You are so lucky that you had front row seats awesome camera work the best I have seen.
Amazingly filmed. Thank you so much for pointing your lens at the correct people and correct time. Especially Justin's mid-song solo. I come back to this video for that alone.
Getting excited for Boston! Haven't seen Tool since 2006. The year before my daughter was born. Seems meant to be this will be our first concert together. Great video!
Excellent video and audio quality. I have same length video from right stage/ front row seeing the backstage and crystal clear view of Dana Carey doing his thing. Man, what a great show and band! You sir, rock for having taken such a quality video! 🤘🏻
OMG! I can't thank you enough for this video! I hope you enjoyed the show! Saw both nights in Toronto Nov 2019. Possibly two of the best shows I have seen. Seeing your video adds to that experience. I do hope to see them again. Thanks and Cheers!
Seeing them 4th May and this vid has got me pumped right up!! Maynards voice is still as amazing as ever. They better had release a DVD of this tour. God I can’t wait! 🖤🤘

Sorry for your loss man, addiction is one of the worst things in this world.

That’s quite q tribute to an awesome band…so sorry for your loss
May your Brother Rest In Peace ❤️

By far THE BEST footage of a Tool show. I was there, I’m currently in the process of editing my vid even though I know TH-cam’s gonna copyright it lol

8:18. Wicked bass solo. Danny's bass drum is hitting like thunder!
It does! I was in the 10th row 2/23/2022 and man that bass! It hit like a ton of bricks. JC and DC were killing it so hard on that solo 🔥🔥🔥🔥
