Another comprehensive review. Now you need to get in a pair of MoFi SourcePoint 888 in for review. The SVS and MoFi are on my upgrade shortlist. Thanks for all the great review work you do.
Love the review on the SVS ULTRA TOWERS your truly one of the GREAT audio equipment reviewers! I’ve recently come across the supposed 1st major “ground breaking speaker technology in over 100 years. And I’ve been contemplating the purchase of the SONOS -ULTIMATE IMMERSIVE SET WITH ARC ULTRA. They say this technology is mind boggling, the invention came from 2 Dutch brothers who sold their invention and company to SONOS for a reported 100 million dollars. I’m fascinated that an innovation in speaker technology could bring this kind of money! So I was wondering if this product could be on the radar for your next AWESOME REVIEW, I would love to see it? Thanks Tharbamar! Look forward to your future many reviews of cutting edge products!
Another great review. The $5K price point is getting co petitive with MoFi 888 and others.Hoping Arendal makes a smaller version of it's new flagship ($10K)which Jay IYagi raved about
Tharbamar, I watch your reviews because you like rock music, most of reviewers listen the opposite genres if we can call it, so most of what they recommend I don't like at all and I think the biggest role plays different music genres, which requires different qualities. My question: what is your best/favorite speakers for this type of music, currently I have Focal Aria 906 which I love very much, bass is a little bit lacking, but subwoofers get the job done, I prefer bookshelf over floorstanding speaker, for my living space. I don't say a budget, because I better wait till I save some money for something really good, instead of buying small upgrade. Thank you for review and your answer 🙃
For these kinds of speakers having something like the Avantone cla-400 would be helpful for comparing...I think these need huge power...that's where the brightness is coming from...give them serious power.
I was going to get the Pinnacle towers but they end up being $7690USD here in Australia so I got Arendal 1723 Tower THX speakers for $4680USD instead. Since then, the reviews show the Arendals to better built and better sounding than the SVS Pinnacle Towers.
You did move those JBL speakers out of the room when you're testing the SVS towers, right? I always see your videos with two pairs of speakers side by side and wonder whether you move those out... Hopefully. 😂
@dbg,, GR research is a con artist . he convinces people that their speaker don't sound good by telling them the insides , crossover, bracing , drivers are low quality but he can fix what you ALREADY like .
@@stijnvanderlooy5311u don’t get quality. unless u spend huge. a 4000 dollar bookshelf speaker will have a cross over probably worth less than 100 dollars.
@@Tharbamar The 1723 Tower THX is the equivalent model to the SVS Pinnacle Tower. Their new 1528 Tower is a hi-end competitor. I own the 1723 Towers and they are extremely good and their build quality puts the SVS to shame.
PS The old SVS Ultra Tower should be put against the SVS Ultra Evolution Tower not the Pinnacle $5000,00.or the Titan which cost more. Should have been Ultra Evolution Tower vs the Old SVS Ultra Tower.

I listen to this same song probably over 50x over the course of his many reviews and they all sounded the same except for this one. I'm sorry but this speaker sound like $500 instead of $5k.
Three feet from wall behind the speakers is not enough for your room. I can clearly hear bass resonance. These speakers have rear firing drivers as such they only work on very large rooms, likely 6' away from the wall behind them is needed.
@@Tharbamar i don’t know of any evidence that windows are any different than drywall for mid and high frequencies. Of course things change a bit with low frequencies.
For me these look giant, ugly and cheap 🙈 like boys toys, first home cinema speakers to impress friends with the size 😅 Luckely opinions vary and these will sell anyway with all the hype and marketing, same with the new Arendal but they look a little better 🤏 Definitely not for me 😊
Always liked your reviews your video was a major part of me getting the original svs towers
Thanks for great feedback.

Beautiful setup beautiful room
Thank you!

Maybe in near future, thanks

You need to try the SCHIIT AUDIO TYER MONO BLOCKS. in a home theater setting no sub needed...

It was Pioneer TAD S-1EX towers about 120lbs each it is hard move them around even for two people 😅
Try Genshelli Dayzee DAC
Pioneer s1ex how much better in the mids and highs? and how much worse in bass?
It has to compare with modern day 15k and above speakers in sonic/build quality.
As good as any!
are the crossover component and signal path 'cheese city' inside these speakers like GR research discovered with bookshelf model?
Don’t listen to that guy, listen for your self.
We all want quality parts instead of paying lots dor cheap. Crossover is a super important part of your speaker.

Can we get some more mainstream hifi reviews like the old days . You seem to just review hi end stuff now
Hi, I do review products in every price point please check it out when you have time, thanks
I thought he only did cheap stuff lately?
What do you think about GR-Research’s video talking about having to redesign the crossover on the SVS Ultra Evolution?
I have upgraded a few speakers and crossovers with better parts and most of them had big improvements.
At the same time, I’m not claiming Danny is perfect. I’m sure he’s thinking about business too.
Frankly I don’t think of anything what other said, I only trust my ears because audio always depends personal taste, thanks
That’s always great option because mass production is always going be less in quality than hand pick parts. I do that too.
@@Tharbamar yet you are asking us to listen to what you say. the irony😅
Thanks mr. for rewiew ,very affrodable price speaker ,looks High End👍

Nice work you know my room more than I do, got it.
I can hear those windows behind the speakers. Not pleasant.
Windows are a reflective surface, just like drywall…so if you hate windows, maybe you hate drywall too?
and whole room is treated with silent walls that you don't hear it?
