8:00 Thanks. I like that it has way more options than the Remarkable. The option to record audio is great, if you're behind taking notes, you can record the audio, and later on when you play the recording you can take notes at the same time. This is awesome for a student, and the price is better, too 🙏🏻
My work life functions off my hand written notes, I love stationary and the freedom of writing over the rigidity keyboards. I have tried many enotebooks and none have checked every box like Penstar. Favorite features so far. 1. Search feature!!!! No digging for a notebook and flipping pages one by one, I can just search everything at once for 2. It’s my handwriting. I learn and remember best when I physically write it down 3. The writing experience is real. The screen texture gives the feedback paper does. My handwriting on Penstar is exactly as it appears on pen and paper. The stylus is very responsive, I didn’t notice a delay. 4. The screen looks like paper, if it weren’t for buttons or icons, no one could tell you’re writing on a screen 5. You can rest your hand(s) on the screen exactly as you would with paper and there is no inference!! The upside of no touch screen. 6. functions independently like a tablet. third party app is not required and don’t have to upload to a cloud for access. It’s all saved in the notebook 7. if you want, back up your notes either to an app or integration with other common cloud programs. 8. convert to many file types and print your notes. 9. Battery life so long. You won’t need to plug this in every night to use it and you won’t run out halfway through your day. I worked in the notebook setting things up and taking notes for 3 hours and still have 97% remaining. 10. There are so many features I keep finding new capabilities that are going to make my work life so much more efficient. 11. Select text and drag to move. It’s almost like copy paste, you don’t have to cross out or erase everything and start over. Negatives: 1. there is a minor learning curve but nothing too difficult. 2. Erase feature does have a slight lag and isn’t as precise but it still works nicely and unlike paper, mistakes are gone forever.
Outstanding review. The Penstar eNote is a very attractive device, but for my own purposes, the deal-breaker is the need to be connected to the internet for handwriting to be transcribed into text. I need to be able to work completely offline. Otherwise, it looks marvelous.
This isn’t the case. Text conversion as an offline feature. I have used it without WiFi connection without issue. It’s even advertised as a feature that can be used anytime to give you independence from internet. You only need WiFi if you want to sync those notes to your cloud or other device. Maybe I misunderstood your comment?
This is the case with almost every worthwhile stylus/tablet system. You can buy a backup, the $70 investment is 100% worth it. But with the secure built in stylus holder it’s unlikely to happen. Don’t let fear of losing a stylus make you to miss out. Your handwriting on Penstar looks exactly as it does on pen and paper and the tactile experience is nearly the same. If you are looking for connivence of an e-notebook with the replication of pen and paper, this is it.
May seem that way because there aren’t many negatives to comment on. I have tried many e notebooks and this is hands down the best for people who want the convenience of technology without losing the tactile pen and paper experience. …this was not a paid advertisement, I just really like it 😊
Do you think the Penstar eNote would be a good fit for you? Let me know why (or why not) in the comments!

Fajny sprzęt
Does it have a user manual?
Hey Ron, you can find manual here: manuals.plus/penstar/n10g01-enote-graphic-drawing-tablets-manual
No expandable storage is a let down. I have 60 GB of books. 10.3 is big as a dedicated ereader.
The lack of pen alternatives means you're SOL if misplaced, but hope more companies embrace buttons or on screen shortcuts like Bigme
