After years drawing on a screen tablet and now needing to go a non screen tablet, your video was just what I needed to help me transition to a different type of graphics tablet.
@@bluberry_arts6975 Reason being my PC is having techinically issues and borrowed PC I cannot set up a display tablet with it. Hence a cheap non screen tablet was a solution until I get my PC working again. Non-screen tablets can have benefits over screen ones in certain circumstances. Hence even if I can use my screen tablet again in the future, having both tablets means I could use whichever best suits my needs at that time.
So quick question for anyone who could answer. I’m thinking about getting a pad with no screen for 3d modeling and sculpting in blender. However, I’m wondering if there is some kind of huge advantage of having a screen that I would be missing out on if I got the pad without a screen.
Getting my first display tablet delivered tomorrow. Great timing. Haha. I’ve used various Wacom Intuos Pro and Graphire tablets since the 90’s and a few no-name tablets more recently. Now I’m getting a very no-name display tablet because it was half price for Prime. If it’s 1/2 as good as my old Asus Android tablet w/pen, I’ll be more than happy. If it’s 1/4 as good as my iPad Pro, I’ll be happy. I just want real windows software and physical shortcut keys.
so, when i hold the pen close to the tablet (the one without the screen) without touching it, there will be a dot of some sort on screen indicating where you are about to draw?
I have a tablet in im doing good, but the second button the drawing pencil doesnt behave like it should. When i set it to ctrl+space it does nothing, but when i use the first one it works and zooms in the canvas
Dear Rutten, or anyone else who is also knowledgeable about drawing tablets. I have a Cintiq 16 since like 2020 and in the past week or so my lines have started to skip seemingly randomly. I have tried a couple things without much success. Do I have a faulty pen and will require a replacement at some point? Any help is very much appreciated!
Have you tried installing the drivers and using the device on another computer? Then test the programs you use with the cintiq. Make sure All of the drivers and programs are fresh installs. Test the device out. If the same thing occurs, try an older driver version, specifically a version that was working for you before this “skipping” happened.
This video is cool because I've always been 1000% confused how the non screen tablets worked cuz how the f do you know where you are drawing on the screen unlike with a notebook and a pencil where you tap the point directly on the spot you wanna start and go from there.

Yes, nearly all art apps have a cursor and many will allow you to configure its appearance: th-cam.com/video/iWFw9gAr_N4/w-d-xo.html

How you you replace the mouse scroll wheel zooming in 3d apps like 3ds max with this kind of tablet and pen?
