Kratos could just go and get the blade of Olympus again and steal the last of it power he'd probably gain his magic back for a bit, secondly everytime he used the the blade of Olympus he got stronger but he also had the power of hope inside him which he then released to the world so he lost about 50% of his strength just to give his last bit to kill Zeus and the other gods then he gained more by finally gaining the blade of Olympus again and well got back to maybe 40% of his strength
According to a like by the creator of GOW Corey barlag , when Kratos stabbed himself with the blade of Olympus he killed the soul of Hades but not his own as he had the power of “hope” hope was then expelled into the world but he also had hope still in him so he reabsorbed his Powers from the blade. That’s why the blade is extinguished at the end of GOW 3, also the blade is destroyed in the process of creating those knives Atreus has. The blade is gone.
Ahhhh so that’s why he wasn’t able to pull out wepons from his back magically anymore the blessing from Athena wore off due to the death of Greece along with All his magic items except the blades of choas

I remember he became the god of war after killing Ares but never knew he had a power like Zeus lightning/Poseidon Water etc always thought of him as a tough demigod who had OP weapons but here he says he has 1... What is It? Also since Kratos God powers are gone bc his homeland is gone then explain how he's going head up with Odin and Thor. I say that to point out his "God Powers" aren't strength, durability, etc.
Kratos is calm and reasonable now only because he got help from a hell lot of people.. Back then, he is alone..all his family trying to end him. His blacksmith only help to betray.. If he never met faye, friend the hulda brother, etc.. If 1 day aesir wsnt to get rid of kratos, im pretty sure kratos will not be not so calm as he is as desperate to survive as the last pantheon..

Well he did it so he could die in part 3
More likely when Kratos stabbed himself with the Blade of Olympus, he released all his powers along with the power of hope.
So that's why he can't turn into a giant anymore.
i loved this little interaction it was so nostalgic
I think when he stabbed himself with blade of Olympus he infused his magical powers to the blade
so thats why kratos cant summon his icarus wings anymore.
Even when there’s no magic involved in those wings? 😂 nah he’d be too op with them in Ragnarok
@@QaDri93 yeah but back in gow 2018 when it came out i was kinda hoping to see that and the other stuffs he plundered from those greek gods be of use somehow, but then again kratos can use just his fist to get the job done.
@@QaDri93 in the games they were 100% magic
Funnily though, Kratos could still use magic according to mythology, since most Norse and Celtic magic is tracing and rune signs.
"Probably for the best"
Yes mate😂 for his opponents
Idk the axe is like a huge step up as far as I’m concerned glad he got the BoC back but an axe that comes back to its master? That’s pretty cool
Kratos killed a whole realm?! Just imagine if he actually found his God of War power💯🐐
He’s still just as strong or stronger he just holds back, the other powers disappeared bc he wasn’t their original owner so they eventually died out
Ahhhh so that’s why he wasn’t able to pull out wepons from his back magically anymore the blessing from Athena wore off due to the death of Greece along with All his magic items except the blades of choas
This statement is actually eye opening but also cryptic. For starters Kratos said he had a mythical power...
I mean, he kept his immense strength and Spartan rage soo there's something of his power he kept
Guess he kept those powers that are bound to his own godhood hence spartan rage instead of rage of the gods/titans/olympus
"I let Icarus fall down a hole so I could use his wings to cross a casam. I miss flying like a bird"
His homeland didn't die, but the pantheon sure faded.
And the Blades of Chaos still curse him now, even past the death off the world they came from
the prequel book the blades are now cursed to forever follow kratos under every circumstance. So now the blades are no longer bound to greece but instead to kratos. its a cool little detail tbh
Nemean cestus against Thor would have been neat.
Freya: "Behold my wings!"
Kratos: "Niiiice. What pathetic loser did you rip yours off of?"
Freya: "What?"
Kratos: "What?"
Meanwhile aphrodite is probably in Rome
Well…I mean he’s still super strong and can heal😂
Is that all .. didn’t he litr die to Thor
@@shinokami770 no. He got knocked out and brought back. Why do people keep bringing that up? These games make a point to try and show that kratos isnt trying to kill anything.
@@drewmyers3916 Zeus impaled him through the chest and it took a few extra seconds to fully kill him kratos banged his head and died
@@shinokami770 but even thor mentioned kratos wasn’t trying as much as he would? even after bringing him back he asked kratos too show him the “true god of war” and after kratos did, thor dipped 😂
@@cookiesandmylfs still died from a head concussion
Ah, so that’s how they Nerfed him.
Trueeee, thats very very sad he lost his powers because of the lore mechanics
Mimir is so cute when he starts geeking out about Kratos' background.
Don’t you mean.... Greeking lol
Kratos was strong because the Pandora box he open to fight against Ares and he continues to fight until the end of GOW 3. So if all magic gone when he travel to norse mythology, then what Thor saying was true "they lost to this, lesser version of you"
So does Kratos is strong than his old past or it the opposite
Spartan's rage, titan's rage, zeus lightning, atlas earthquake, lighting arrow and many more
I feel like everything is leading up to something even bigger in the GOW series. Athena after dying from Kratos in GOW 2 was given eternal life so she came back as a spirit. But who gave her that power?! Maybe the answers to The mystery of all Creation Odin was trying to look for with that mask that only Atreause was able to read is somehow connected to these mysterious beings that only Athena knows of. Also where the hell is Athena? Haven't seen her in the game. Wtf
Only one Answer remains... Aliens
Jk
Yeah but it looks like they wont go on this path... im so desapointed i wanted to know so bad WhatsApp Was in the breach
Man I wish they would visit Greece sometime and kratos takes freya mimir and who ever else wants to go with him. I mean he never killed Aphrodite and Artemis
But we know Greece is fucked...this has been said multiple times...
@@Hi-Fitxt but does that mean he can’t go back tho?
@@GoBuckeyes216 well when all the gods died, this brought about a bunch of shit for Greece, Aphrodite and Artemis may be alive but they probably couldn't keep a good hold of Olympus. I believe greece could be visited and thoroughly believe they may show it a little next game but it'll be wrecked
they tryna silently nerf kratos by saying his power died with greece
If he had all the powers and weapons he collected from all the games he’s gonna dominate all pantheons egypt,Hindu, the whole lot
@@Botinfinit the Hindus would have a chance especially with the trimurti they have some crazy feats.
@@Botinfinit he’s already been to egypt in a comic series bro, but yeah i understand why they’d give him one, its just that kratos is easily one of the most op characters ever , would be nice for the games to not try nd nerf him
@@Botinfinit idk I would say the Chinese pantheon the gods there would be pretty tough an example I think sun wukong aka monkey king would give Kratos a damn hell of a fight and be one of his hardest enemies to beat with wukong hax's abilities
Did mimir just basically say Hakuna Matata
Okay. That makes sense. Except why do the blades of chaos still work? It would make sense if they were nothing but heaps of metal until upgraded and they get a bit of a Norse touch but they work right off the bat in God of War 2018
He's the owner of that
Forever with him and his soul
