- This is a Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service fire engine turning out to an incident as seen from inside the crew cab. It demonstrates just what a difficult job the driver of an emergency vehicle has, even in relatively light traffic!

God bless you guys! You are heroes!
Lovely video this. Thoroughly enjoyed watching them fly down the streets, in convoy, lights and sirens going! ;)
Fantastic job they all do.
Love this vid,,pure adrenaline going thru the streets,,good use of sirens and loved the yippee bit,,
Thankyou lads for watching over us
great piece of driving mate.

Wow amazing stay safe u brave man woman amazing job 👏 👍 respect hard enough
well your right i cant but when i havent experienced it but its a job what my grandad had done and ever since i can remeber i have always wanted to be a fire fighter. bloody good men you are :)
EXCELLENT i cannot wait to be driving one of those
Cheers buddy... i was driving the truck that is in front! ;0)
I didn't film it, I was driving the fire engine that in front and one of the lads in the truck behind me had a camera with him so he filmed it!
Great vid!!....more please ;-)
When he asks "Who's driving that?" Does he reply... Mark Forbesy???? And great to see a local vid, recognise all of STretford and Urmston there. Keep up the great work!
I once followed a fire engine from blackley fire station to see where it was going, after about a minute the thing was gone lol it was way too fast for me to keep up with! These trucks are rapid
Very entertaining video. Nice one ;)
Love the siren
Coastliner700 Premier Hazard 7004 with Airhorn 0:40 and Manual Siren Override 1:46
Still used on some old Dennis HPs in Hong Kong
2:00 lol no matter how serious the situation is, u always try to have a laugh
where at?
@LiamGardner Noit's not forbesy it's me! LOL Cheers fella :0)
I've spoken to a Watch Manager at Mosside fire station, he said get all the education, and some job experience done before you sign up, just incase things take a turn for the worst!
heers buddy, and thanks for the subscribe! ;0)
i these pumps were my favourite plenty of space in the back bit slow to start tho
Sweet so u go the new volvos now at stretford havent you? aww you dont understand how lucky you are :D
manchester college
how did u get to film this?
Really want to join the fire service, going to go college, get a job first for experience, then I'm signing up, would you agree its a job you love :)?
I once saw a fire truck in Stretford with a damn fine female driver
@andycoach1965 they took the bullhorn away? what is wrong with the fire service these days,
Two pumps in convo. A very rare sight these days. Sad.
cool buddy! ;0)
@andyveccyv6 cheers buddy! :0)
Thats sounds like an old version of the premier hazard.
passes my house aand my work in the same journey lol
i honestly dont mind all the grusome stuff and the other appliance caught up to you there miless ahead great driving :D
also outside the local youth club in chadderton the other week there was a crew outside there let me have a go of the i think its th dry riser ( black) and B.A n new galet hemetls :D
It's always easier following another appliance. It makes it look as though the leading appliance could go faster but that simply isn't the case. The leading appliance is clearing the traffic for you and it is he who gets hindered by slower moving obstacles not the following driver.
Cheers buddy, the bull horns were banned because they were seen as too agressive! LOL
don't comment on the gruesome stuff until you've experienced it buddy because it is never how you imagine it will be... and the second pump will always catch the first because the first gets held up as it clears the traffic! :0)
Lol, u not on duty tonight then ? and have u been a driver for long? i really want to know how hard the drivers course is beacuse i really want to be a driver once i join the service
I wonder what it's like to drive a fire engine tho
It's one of the most satisfying but scary things in the world all at the same time if you know what I mean
the bullhorn has been removed now... apparently it was too aggressive! LOL
That's such a shame
Needs to be reinstated with all these dopes on the road.
i've been in the job more than half my life fella... it's not all great you know! lol
I hear from Burning Flames 3
I'm amazed at how quick these get up to speed; I haven't got a clue how much they weigh but even so...
Between 7-15tons normally.
Volvo FL6-14, so max total weight is 14 tonne but they weigh around 12.5 fully laden.
johnmcquay82 these machines did pick up quickly, saw them flying all over the place and boy, do they fly.
on a pre uniformed service course? ;0)
am 14 and i want to be a firefighter next summer am going to try to get into the fire cadets
when was this filmed
liam eckersleyjones 2003 by the looks of the appliances
is the service still famous for all the nicknames?
his name is Macca! LOL
we try our best... and we do have girlies in the job now too you know! lol
Are you a firefighter mate
you a fire bobby then fella?
they still have the bull horn's on the fire engines
SirGarethButch yep, and they still use two tones to this day as well
yeah :D
Can we go back to two-tone air horns please!
my dads nikname in the fire service is ferrit vouse hes small n fin he can fit in all the tight spaces
no am at college training to be :)
Gone are the days fire engines had "nee naw nee naw" sirens....
They all sound the same now, when I was growing up you could tell the difference between police, ambulance and fire.
the two tones some still have them
They still have two tones or atleast in Bucks they do. My dad is a crew Commander and try still use them and also you can still tell the difference between Police, Fire and Ambulance
In my home town it goes my dad is a commander and the siren goes dy dy dy dy dy ane a horn
Merseyside use two-tones almost exclusively.
PUT THE BULL HORNS BACK ON THE APPARATUS THEY MOVE TRAFFIC OF THE WAY. I'M FROM NY AND WE HAVE STUTTERTONE HORN AND SOON WE WILL HAVE THE MARTIN HORNS.
Maybe! lol
Love the video just a shame it was filmed with a potato......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
i see that one thing i really wnt to do before i die clear traffic with a fire engine :D who is the guy who start going wehehehe in this video hes funny him
you only get a nickname if the other bods like you! LOL
on 2:00 is very make me laugh :D
heheheheeeee
LOL ;0)
No, I'm in community fire safety at the moment... and first you need to become a qualified firefighter... on average it takes 5 to 7 years before you get to drive!
Easily make crew commander in that time
