Only comment I've got to make is why turn the siren on and off all the time? When driving in the urban environment just leave it on, saves getting into the zone of thinking it's on when it actually isn't and running into trouble!
It's for two reasons mainly 1) Noise pollution 2) Sirens are to WARN road users and pedestrians of your presence. Once they know you are there, the sirens are no longer of use. What happens when you leave them on, is that road users start to panic and then do stupid things by accident.
Sirens aren't necessary 100% of the time. If you are behind traffic at red lights on a busy junction for example then your siren can be intimidating to other motorists and pedestrians and can encourage them to do something silly and dangerous. We use siren en route to a shout in traffic to alert others to our presence and clear a path for us but if you are stuck and have nowhere to go then it is of no use other than just making a noise when people already know you are there. If a civilian in a car is sat at a red light and passes through the red light to allow a fire appliance, ambulance or police vehicle to pass with blues and twos on, the motorist is liable to prosecution. It is not a defence to argue that you travel through a red ATS to make way for an emergency services vehicle

100% agree. It would have been advantageous to have had a siren on for 99% of this video.
