THE AUTHOR HAD QUARRELED WITH POOR
CURD SELLER. BUDDHA CHANGED A CRUEL MURDERER INTO COMPASSIONATE PERSON.
      NEVER NEVER NEVER
      COMPARE WITH BUDDHA WITH
      ANYBODY, ANYBODY, ANYBODY.

Writers poets cinema directors religious gurus ie spritual seers epics all say some truths through stories some moral values including music all related to mind ie Aham also entertainment and ethics one way of living through beggary ie beggars philosophy. If you read all worlds literature for a country and people life Tamil literature old saying Hard work alone get you all goal .is any thing impossible before hard work?My duty is Todo indeed .Next poem by Avvaiyar.Let it be forest or country let it be upland or valley where good men lives there hails the land (nation).Better than this no words are there in the world's literature thank you

The translator herself says this is her first book as a translator. But the video description says “acclaimed” translator. Be normal to say a translator as a translator if they are not yet acclaimed.

You're right. I was thinking thr same while contrasting it with 'notable' writer Jeyamohan? English is a rich language and I really wish people use more apt words.

If you see this from a different perspective she translated the work of Jeyamohan who is an acclaimed writer who has given his validation, she then by default becomes an acclaimed translator.

That isn't a perspective. That's blindly believing. It is like saying, because a delicious food was served on banana leaf, it becomes a delicious banana leaf!

Priyamvada's translations have been critically acclaimed. You don't seem to be the sort of person who follows literary criticism, this is for your information. Also Priyamvada is the first translator from any south Indian language (and one among a handful of recipients from India) to win the PEN/Heim grant. Do you know what the PEN/Heim grant is? Look it up. A translator with the PEN/Heim under her belt is most certainly an acclaimed translator.
