I vividly remember him winning the WC in '98. My dad's name is also Raymond, his colleagues started calling him "Barney" afterwards, but he never threw a dart lol Can't believe it's been 25 years already, time flies, just like these darts. Oh, and my dad occasionally pops over for a game nowadays, he's starting to enjoy it now at 74 years young. Cheers!
I normally don’t buy a pro-player dart because I want to find my own dart in the shape and weight I like. That said, these darts are perfect for the throw style and grip I use. They aren’t as pricey as the Phil Taylors, or some of Target’s other 95% darts, and the build quality is really quite good. There are other dart companies that charge a hefty price for lower quality darts. The packaging and such shows Target’s attention to product and player. I can honestly recommend these.
Just stunning……. Love my rvb echoes so have ordered these in 25g …… a few small differences but loved this natural tungsten and think the flights re a brilliant design
They look so much better in the video than in the pictures online. I will definitely get a set as soon as possible. Great video. I really needed to see this. How do you think these will wear on the grip?
I just can´t handle Barney moping around on stage like Betty took Bamm-Bamm and left Bedrock, NL and he doesn´t think he did anything wrong. I wish him well and the winner of this giveaway.
Great review, the mat and silver finish similar to the Phil Taylor gen 7 darts. I would like to see Target incorporate the K-flex stems and swiss storm points on some of their special edition darts! Thanks Darren, cheers!
Thanks mate, they would have to make a bigger box then which would add to the cost but if its a special edition I think people would not mind, like they did before with the other specials.
I’ve got a set of the black and grey echo 95s and I think I like the look of these silver ones better. They are essentially the same dart. I would definitely swap out the stems and flights. Maybe add some of those new green K flexes!! Would love to get a set, but I might have to hold off for a sale lol. Great review as always Darren!
The packaging is fantastic and the darts look amazing 🤩🤩🤩. Good to see target bring out points that will fit the new regulation too. Great review as always Darren! Happy darting!
Very impressive look to these. Like most of the other darts I like the look of, they're out of my price range. Will have to try my luck when you do the giveaway 😁😁 For the price, I thought the weight matching may have been a bit better
Hopefully you will get lucky, or hopefully not, posting to Oz is not cheap lol! Only Joking, I have posted winners darts all over the world, strangest place so far was Mongolia :)
I think the term for the shape milled at the rear section , that area you said was rectangles with curves , is called a circus Darren . With so many 'new' shapes being milled into darts these days you have quite a challenge describing them for sure , This one is fairly simple by comparison with some ! Anyways they do look nice and at least Target have blasted the logo area .... an improvement eh !
Circus, thats a strange one lol! Yeah its near impossible to describe them, like the recent Falcon set from Darts Clearance, I asked if the rear grip had a special name, they said no lol so how do you describe these things? Yeah smooth part is not so bad with a bit of texture to it :)
The Romans had chariot racing tracks in this shape . If you remember the film Ben Hur with Charlton Heston you will know what I mean . They called the race circuits Circuses ,which were built all over the empire , like amphitheaters were , I presume we call our typically round modern Circuses after the roman entertainment centres . @@DartsReviewChannel

Its a great idea from Target. The box is very nice and the EVO-stems goes well with the barrel. Sadly they are a bit out of my price range but maybe i get lucky in the giveaway(lol, never gonna happen😄).

@@Cowabunga10101 Thanks! Its one of the reasons I started doing reviews years ago and I was probably one of if not the first people to do photos in detail as people were always asking me about the darts. A lot of the brands improved their presentation of products after seeing some of my stuff back then. Even did a few pics for some products myself but now they tend to cheat too much with CGI or enhanced images which I think is a bit mis-leading.
I notice that people are caught up on the price of these darts - and so they should be... The problem is, whether it be computer games, trainers, Box Office sporting events, or darts, if people pay the money, then the companies will keep on selling at stupid prices. Darts as a game has boomed in recent years and more and more people are getting into it. Where there's demand, there'll be a price hike! The Barney 25's are probably really worth no more than £50, but then you attach his name to it and scribble Special Edition on the box, and they'll say its worth £40 extra... We're getting conned left right and centre but at the end of the day - if the darts happens to be perfect for you - it may well be money well spent - and that's what companies like Target & the rest are banking on! Anyway - decent review as always Dazza... Gutted I missed the giveaway, as you won't catch me spaffing 90 notes on these any time soon! 😂
What is worse though is by Target selling on their own site at same price as the retailers means they are getting maximum profit and the retailers get less, but I guess if they sold them minus the retailers profit they would be cheaper but then nobody would buy from the retailers. Certainly they could be cheaper though.
@@DartsReviewChannel - yep... I guess they need to recoup that bit extra because of the amount that's being paid out to the players. But even so, a sale price here or there wouldn't hurt, but I don't think I've ever seen these go for less than 85 quid. I haven't held these personally, but they do look like they're very well machined and maybe slightly better milled than some of their more affordable range - so maybe more hours have gone into it? But having said that, the Harrows Imperial Diamond is a stunning looking dart and probably took a whole lot longer and more craftsmanship - but is a whole £30 cheaper!
@@Its_A_London_Thing There was a time when the extra machining was a slow process but I think the recent machines have advanced so much that they can machine them a lot quicker now. Its hard to know all the reasons, but I think the darts themselves are not costing as much as all the other things like paying for players, employees, buildings, marketing etc so it all adds up. How much is pure profit is hard to know, I think every business will have a basic % they deem acceptable but some will certainly want more than others. Over the years of watching Dragons Den and seeing what some people quote for their cost price and retail price seems like a huge mark up but then you have to factor in taxes and all the other things so I just dont know what is a fair price in the end?
If you celebrate his 25th Anniversary of his first title, lean a little bit into the dart that he used back then. Slapping a bit of paint on his current dart and calling it a day is so typical for Target these days.
