Good review Darren, ur the only one that pointed out that the sten comes apart from the red part!! I got mine yesterday, and i wasn't sure about that fact!!
I have a set of his original A180 darts I bought about fifteen years ago. Very simple design in comparison but very similar in shape with little grip. I think I paid about twenty quid. No fancy packaging, they arrived in a bar wallet in a hand written Jiffy Bag 😊. I remember buying Lionel Sams and Brian Pecker Woods darts from A180 at the same time. Cheaper hobby then.
Yep me too. I am not even sure Bunting needs any grip, he seems to hold it at the rear where its smooth anyway, just rests his finger on the front I think.
Is the grip at the front section of the Gen 5 similar to the Gen 4? I currently have and use Bunting's Gen 4. And I still consider it the most beautifully made dart in my collection. Red is my favorite color. 😄
yeah as mentioned in video its like a match up of G2 and G4, I think the front is a bit grippier but probably because the G4 had a coating on, but I think its only because you can feel the newness of the edges/cuts, dont think it will last long before it wears to a low level grip though. It would look so much better in GREEN though! :P
That’s a really good looking dart to me, but that’s! I would like buy this one as well as so many many other darts 🤣🤣🤣 I’m back on my Bunting G4 and i do love them. Keep up the good work and if you Arm never get well! Just keep trowing darts😁
I’m considering buying these in 18g, but I’ve recently had MVG darts in 21.5g and I really struggled to lift high enough into the 20s. Might just stick with 23g
Great review as always Darren and no doubt these will fly off the shelves……a bit expensive in my opinion ……but a gorgeous dart but not one for rear gripper s……. Hope the elbow is improving!!!
Hi Darren , that lump in the palm of your hand may be Dupuytrens contracture. I have had it for a number of years and two operations on both hands as it usually bends your fingers over to your palm. My left hand is becoming hardly usable but don’t want another operation because of cervical instability issues. It’s the fibrous tissue on the guides that thickens and pulls the fingers over which you can’t push back but yours looks mild and may progress slowly or not at all. Ooh sorry this is a darts channel not a health one 😊 it’s usually referred to Dupuytrens disease if it doesn’t bend your fingers over but contracture if it does. As you probably gather it can come back again. On a cheerful note the sun is shining 😊 thanks for the review 🎯
it is but I cant pronounce it so just said lump lol Its also on my left foot but its called something else when its on the feet. I think its probably been affecting me a couple of years as I would get tingling sensations but only noticed the lump growing this year. May also be because I broke my hand a few years ago too. Hopefully it would get too bad, guess time will tell, its also known as Vikings disease. Best of luck, enjoy the weather :)
@@DartsReviewChannel I had to check the spelling 😊 it’s on my left foot too but not bothering me and yes some say it goes back to the vikings. Mine started when I was a lot younger, I’m 77 now so you will most likely be ok. My throwing hand has lasted just slightly bending but ok . Just watched some of your previous reviews, Barny darts 👍 all the best.
@@15darter I thought it was Plantar Fascitis for a long time, until the lump in my hand became noticeable. That was when I checked my foot properly and found a similar lump. Think its from standing at the oche thats caused it :) Good luck! :)
@@DartsReviewChannel I’ve just come down stairs from having a few throws. Your first dart Treble 20, as you said it surprises you sometimes. You threw the asp black darts well, I’ve forgotten the gen but I bought them after your review and the first Barny darts wish I knew the silver ones were coming out 🙈 . Leave you in peace now 👍
Nice looking grip. Looks like a great dart. Unfortunately definitely a bit out of the budget at the moment. Glad the elbow is starting to feel better. Hope you are feeling better soon!!!
Question about all these current player Gen darts, do they still make new batches of older Gens or do they run out the stock that was mad at the time, you don't a choice when Winmau Blade boards are released?
Nice review. As a front gripper, would you recommend these or the Barney 25’s? At the minute I’m rooting towards Buntings, probably because he’s one of my favourite players 😂
these are perfect for me! for over 20 years I've been looking for a front loaded barrel that has a diameter of less than 7mm and they finally made one?!
I really hate, that they jump from 18, to 22 grams, and from 41 to 47 mm. It's like two different darts..I like a light dart, and the Swiss point system, but had hoped for a 20 gram dart, inbetween. His earlier darts, were either 12, or 22+ as well.
I do not really understand it as well, but it’s better than the previous generation, where it went from 12 to 23 g. So it’s a massive improvement in my books.
Target must sit at meetings trying to come up with ideas of how to make yet another part of the set up, unscrew from the next, just another thing to buy, points unscrew from barrel, now the stem unscrews from itself, what’s next? 3 piece barrels, one day you might want a 40mm barrel not a 50mm, or flights you attach the wings yourself, some days you might want 4 fins and the next you can have 3 fins, for less spin the marketing would say haha, it all stinks a bit to me. Good looking barrel tho 👍
@@DartsReviewChannel haha bloody brilliant, get on to Target Darren, imagine buying a bag of sisal, then you can buy the premier bundle, that has sisal in pre shaped biscuit form, they sell that to us in neutral colours, so we have to buy the dye as well, green, red, black, they have them all
Not the shape I prefer and don't appear to be rear-gripper friendly. Having said that, they are very nice looking darts. The price may scare a few punters away. 🤑🤑
@@DartsReviewChannel wel then you wil have or very good grip on te fingers or a first aid trip o i had a question not to be rude but what is a good grip dart that's 24 gram and has a good flight whit shorts on it i have luke littler loadout 23 gram but its not cutting it for me
Great to see another review 🥳Nice looking set. As a rear gripper neede to test them ...
Lovely looking player dart. Good review as always Darren.
Thanks Glenn! :)
Great video. No surprise there. These look really nice. Keep up the great work!

Yea, and honestly, a lot of the simpler models work better for most people. I also have his A180 set and the balance is just superb.

@@DartsReviewChannel the word you were looking for was Eliptical
I picked up mine last week, one of the best darts i've thrown in yrs, really nice looking as well!!
Liking the styling on the dart. Would be nice to see target include some storm points to eliminate the lip or perhaps some k-flex.
Yeah if the included the storm sp it would be good but then you wouldnt need to buy them lol
Great review as per young man , not my cuppa tea these ones , but nice to see some unbiased pov
What is your goto dart , first one you grab?
Thanks Mark! I still use my Harrows Predators often and I also like my old Target Sprint, no longer made.
Seems to be working just fine for Mr Bunting, nice dart.

@DartsReviewChannel front thick tear drop? 130,00 dollar is my max price what I can spend
