As a Barney fan I enjoyed that so much. RvB wins against the world number 1 Gerwyn Price in a decider in a high quality contest with many 180s. The Grand Slam, such a great tournament, and Wayne Mardle and John Part on the Sky Sports commentary.
I’ve watched them all from like 1984 till now lol. The og’s like Bristow, jockey Wilson, Jon part, Paul Lim, Georgie, Taylor, mardle, Steve Beaton, and all the rest got me obsessed with playing darts. All the guys these days are so good it’s unreal. Barney and MVG, cross, smith, Anderson, price, Adrian, wade, wright just make it so exciting to watch. Still don’t get how they can hit the same number over and over trust me I’ve tried and been playing for years lol. I just love how it’s become a fun event with fans and it’s almost like a football game lol. These guys make it a fantastic sport to get involved in
What a joy to see Raymond play like this, he will maybe not win any tournaments anymore. But it is so great to see him enjoy the game again. That little jump of pure happiness after that last dart went in, reminded me of his first match he ever won on the Embassy against Graham Miller back in 1993. ☺ And compliments to Gerwyn for his gentlemen behaviour. ✌
Price has changed in my eyes, used to see him as this rigid macho man that just didn't seem to fit Darts but that was on me, his sportsmanship is increasing though :)
Gezza very sporting. This is the game fans get when they just let players play and don't boo and whistle to put players off. Get a high quality match with both player's playing well.
BARneys dart speed is faster than normal. Think he is using different setup. It’s working for him. His darts not as lazy looking hitting the dart board. Hit with authority.
Barney looking healthier, fresher and actually younger than he has in years. Looks 10 years younger. No lazy arm weak shots! Frustrating wthing old RVB, but when he's on is there really a better throw in the game?

Barney is kind of a narcisist.. the dude just talked in a podcast about Suljovic wife not supporting Suljovic and so on.. Also his retirement was a big show just for him to show and up play again. Then again his throw is so beautifull and thats why i like to see him.

I can't understand for the life of me why group qualifiers aren't separated into different halves of the draw?!? We've already seen Michael Smith vs Joe Cullen and Barney vs Price and now we get to see those matches again!
