Personally it seemed like my chemotherapy resolved my pleural effusion. I had it drained but started feeling symptoms about a month later . By that time I started chemotherapy ABVD, and after about a week my breathing got better

Hi, I was hoping to use a portion of your video and reference it in an essay I’m currently writing for college.
Would you mind letting me know if you yourself are a student or have qualifications?

I’m a pulmonologist. Yes you can. If you want, simply just acknowledge me in the end. I would suggest to most importantly to use the official guidelines and studies I quote to cite, and perhaps the url to the video.

why not inject sprayable hydrogel with chemo drug inbeded into the coating of the pleaural membare, hydrogels with time release of chemo drugs. this can selectively kill cancer cell rather than doing IV chemo chemo which makes patients miserable.

Thanks. Theoretically it makes sense but statistically, there has been no data that I can find on this specific question. A recent published observational case series study on constant temperature chemotherapy has shown promising results in malignant pleural effusion from lung cancer but it’s only in 10 patients www.nature.com/articles/s41598-023-39211-5
I know there is a study on hydrogel for talc pleurodesis.
Perhaps if u can show me some infos on it would be great so I can learn as well.
