I just wanted to say that I know Abby wasnt the best person at first and that she could be unlikable sometimes in S1, but I still think she deserved so much better than what she got and her character development as the show went on was really underlooked when imo she was the nicest teen out of all of them. The way especially Press and Max were to her was honestly awful. I hope her storyline is talked about more in S3, she's a good friend and a well written character

I hated Press so much throughout the show and the fact that the friend group knew and saw that he was being an asshole to Abby but still didn’t say or do anything is wild. Justice for my girl Abby.

I think she's written as a more realistic person, selfish, kind, annoying, smart, complicated. She's written with the same flaws in all of us and let's be real who actually truly appreciates thier mom, friends or family when it's always needed most people tend to realize the blessing people are later on, ginnys a real person
@mayacaldwell2464 I agree that she's not a bad character at all, I just didn't necessarily consider her a good one. Her storyline felt inconsistent sometimes like how she was nice then mean for no reason or how her racial issues were written just could've been better imo it had a lot of potential.
I guess I just liked characters like Georgia and Abby because they felt realistic. Their storylines, behavior ect and ik a lot more girls like Abby than Ginny, but each to their own if that's your opinion about Ginny it's totally fine ♡
I agree with Ginny when she said “I have family stuff to deal with too” but I immediately went off her side when she said “it’s not all about you”
Personally I think it's ironic that she said that when she was making it all about herself. But I sort of get it (the first thing she said), there were just better ways to express it imo

I relate to Abby so well. I really hope season 3 gives her character to talk more about herself. Katie Douglas does a good job at capturing the emotions of Abby, I love her.

the part where abby was being sweet by putting up a little bday banner for max’s bday then max just straights up tears it down and fake (and slightly) smiles at abby thinking that she did the right thing is just so immature. i don’t understand why max has so much beef with abby like abby is so sweet and puts others before herself. if i were max i’d literally be so grateful for having the greatest friend ever

Thisss, she's grown sm in S2. Imo some of the other protagonists improved as well but they ALL still need a lot of growth. Abby's one of the only characters that I feel like who doesn't need much more growth she's the best out of the teens imo ♡
i love abby but i hate how you guys diminish ginny as a character. you do realize that a character doesn't have to be positive for someone to be able to relate to it? ginny's written as a flawed character because she's a teenager trying to handle her trauma. just because she's self-absorbed and you don't like her does not mean she didn't suffer throughout the entirety of the show. season 1 introduced the fact that she self harms due to a number of reasons, one of those reasons being the trauma that georgia had unknowingly put on her (it's not georgia's fault, but it's something to consider)

I'm aware that a character doesn't have to be positive for people to relate to it, but when did I say she didn't suffer? Yeah, Ginny was written as a self-absorbed teen, navigating her way through her trauma, but that doesn't excuse the way she treats her friends and her mom, despite her mom unknowingly giving her trauma
I do agree that she's relatable to an extent as a flawed teenager and her SH, but the whole list I made was according to if I related to them or not. And Ginny isn't someone i relate to in any shape or form. You seem to like her, but I don't have to.

Ugh this video makes me so sad...I swear, abby literally was the best out of the friend group...ginny was a selfish brat who only cared about herself, max also only cares about herself and she's obnoxsious and super narcissistic, and Nora just went along with whatever max wanted because she just wanted to fit in and wasn't an actual friend.
Abby cared about everyone BUT herself. she always made sure everyone else was ok, she made up asap whenever she thought she did something wrong (even when she didn't) and she supported them with literally whatever choice they made. I do agree, in the beginning, she was a bit of a brat too, but she definitely matured A TON and shed that old toxic personality.

Norah is fake asf and Max was an overdramatic bitch for 3/4 of the show. I don't think she was an ass, I think she was unlikable sometimes but that's weirdly why I liked her. She was realistic because she was a flawed character she did some bad things but was a good person at heart. And she changed towards the end of the season too.

It depends which app ur on imo. Most of YT love her but half the people on tiktok dislike her. I think she's really misunderstood but a lot of ppl do like her ♡
