whenever i get kicked out of competitive by a bunch of russians i turn to the bots and they’re always waiting for me there. It’s reassuring that i can still have some people to play with even if humans fail completely. I also got decent at the game fighting bots.

We need to make a new gamemode that is essentially like dog shows. You train your bot and guide them through an obstacle course to compete with other bots. If your bot is the winner, you can give them a treat, like a p90 or negev in the final fight to see who the strongest bot is.

They say no depending on their teamwork skill level, that´s why some follow your orders and some don´t
I thought it depended on your position in scoreboard somehow. Somtimes they only listen the top guy in the team
You dont really have to spam "cover this position" because if you do they wont follow you. Once the round starts just say it once and they will follow.
The one disadvantage that I hated the most was when they never listened to my commands. I tried every command and they always said negative

From my experience people don't kick the last player in the team. They kick him only if he is toxic and doesn't even try to win.

Also, why not just make it so that if you kick someone, the bots are shit, but if someone leaves then the bots at least listen to you..

My favorite thing about the bots is when they decide to, in rare circumstances, shoot while running or falling, which unintentionally gives even the worst bots a chance to accidentally instantly one-tap you as soon as you become visible

My first time ever playing counter-strike I was in a server filled with voice-enabled bots and I thought they were real people. We got along nicely
Last week, Valve removed bots from Competitive and WIngman, RIP bots, your impact on Counter Strike will never be forgotten.
Gunner and Steel are my favorite CS 1.6 bots. Good thing there still in CS:GO.

There was a bug in a tremulous mod that I made with bots, where if you connnect and a bot is added while you are connecting, both you and the bot take the same player slow number and so I dub it "bot infected" - the only solution is to disconnect and reconnect.
What happens is that if your tickrate isn't sufficient or you start lag spiking or 999-ing overall, the bot will take over your controls. I's like fighting the urge to do something you dont want to do

This video went up literally on the exact day I finished ranking the expert bots after doing just that.
I had 2 teams of random bots facing off against each other on each official map exactly once. So from the perspective of a single bot, they played anywhere from 5 to 9 total matches and 131 to 244 seperate rounds. This was done over the course of more than a year of me getting bored of the project and then picking it up again. So (based on win percentage, with rounds won vs rounds lost as a tie breaker) here is the complete ranking of all the 20 bots you can get on expert difficulty:
1. Rock 72.22%
2. Vitaliy 71.43%
3. Steel 68.75%
4. Wolf 66.67%
5. Crusher 61.11%
6. Pheonix 60% (no idea why he isn't spelled Phoenix)
7. Quade 58.33%
8. Gunner 58.33%
9. Rip 55.56%
10. Brett 50%
11. Moe 50%
12. Stone 44.44%
13. Ringo 44.44%
14. Kyle 42.86%
15. Arnold 41.67%
16. Cliffe 40% (Surprise!)
17. Shark 37.5%
18. Minh 35.71%
19. Quintin 21.42%
20. Zach 12.5%
Keep in mind though, that even this is a very small number of tests considering how many elements of it were random. Also: even if this ranking accurately shows which bots are better than others, that "better" will still be defined by fighting against other bots. Maybe in a match against humans different skills are more important.

In C.S 1.6 theres an interesting thing, sometimes bots talk with voice chat (they have pre programmed voice) and if you use commans like "GO go go!" they will at first reply with "roger","okay","affirmative". But 10 seconds after thay will start saying "no!","negative","uhh no"
I was playing a silver game with a bot and we all died expect the bot. We let him do his own thing and he clutched it by killing 2 other players.

I've got an issue with the bots, that I noticed while playing offline when I didn't have connection to the internet.
I died, ans I really didn't feel like taking control of a bot because I was bored. The whole enemy team was dead and the bots just needed to defuse the bomb.But they didn't. Bots can't detect how many enemy players are left. Valve please fix.

they say "i cover you while you defuse" while checking around them. sometimes they start defusing but once an enemy appears they stop defusing and attack the enemy. result -> boom
In competitive game mode, they won't defuse, but in Casual, they will.
On comp, they won't buy kit for some reason

The bots are updated (I think). I played with extreme bots and they were head boosting so they can reach snipers nest on mirage. I saw them taking positions as ct's and pushing properly as t's.
Valve should allow bots to drop weapons, Like wtf is he going to do with an awp. Or change the bot difficulty to expert, Imagine a BOT Vitaly in your team

When I started playing counter strike 2 days ago, I chose to battle bots at the medium diffulty, now I that I know a little bit of doing andnfighting, I made them go up a level, and I do this on different maps to get familiar with them.
Bots are so sweet. they try hard to be like humans, but they will never reach our level. They are like children!

Watching this back, Valve probably included that navmesh part on inferno so players could utilise it when making maps with custom navmeshes.
