I’ve watched this channel for quite some time as I was progressing in gathering everything for my build, and now I’m here! First PC’s gonna be a monster, and I’m looking forward to it!
I feel like the question, “What kind of PC should I build” is more of a loaded question now than ever before. There are so many details you need to specify to determine exactly what you should be looking to put in your system. That’s a good thing for options, but I’m sure it’s very intimidating for people just getting into building a PC.
Can a 3070 and 3700x run almost all games at high graphics? Ive been planning to upgrade to that combo and I just wanna know if I should go with that or something else for a similar price
@@ev_nh 3070 GPU is fine. But don't buy into Ryzen 3000. They are terrible for gaming these days compared to what's out and affordable today. 5600g or 12400 or for more oomph 5800x or 13400 for a budget friendly build. But going AMD route the best CPU for gaming even on a budget is the 5800x3d. All the other CPUs over it are pointless 5900x or 5950x if you don't need the cores because games won't use them much at all

I'm having a PC built with very similar spec, in a Lian LI o11 mini black theme. Same mb, GPU, cooler, ram, 3tb ssd... pretty stoked about it. Big upgrade from my almost 10 year old pC.
I will be building my first PC with the same RTX 4080, Ryzen 7700k and B650 motherboard. I will definitely use this video as a guide! My first PC was a 2017 GTX 1080 prebuilt.
I also have the black h7 flow. It's fantastic quality and the build experience is great. I have three 140 intake and one 140 exhaust fan. It is bit louder than I expected but it's moving quite a bit of air so that's to be expected. System temps are perfect.
That’s almost the exact same build that I did last month. Used the micro ATX version of that same mobo and the free 6000 cl 30 RAM kit from MicroCenter, but everything else is basically the same spec with the only variance being the manufacturer. I’m looking forward to that am5 x3d upgrade to hopefully address any cpu bottlenecking issues, but for the games I play, the 7700x is keeping up just fine.
Yep I think it’s mainly cyberpunk and Spider-Man where it struggles. Although struggles is definitely a relative term! Still way ahead of chips like the 10900k and 5800x.
Based on other outlets and reviewers, it's not the 7700x that is bottlenecking, it's something else. And buying a 7900x or 7950x will NOT give you more FPS vs. what the 7700x is already achieving. The 7700x has the most stable and consistent high per core boost clock available, and it is widely considered the sweetspot of an CPU for anything gaming related. You will even run into compatibility issues with the 7900x and 7950x on games that do terrible for high core count processing, resulting in an even worse experience. You did not go wrong at all with the pairing in the video. A direct upgrade or better purchase from the 7700x is NOT the 7900x or the 7950x, it's in fact the upcoming 7800X3D. Currently, the 7700x is on equal footing with the 5800X3D.
is rtx 4080 super paired with a ryzen 7 7700 good for 1440p? I've heard the 7700 with PBO is basically the 7700x but with low wattage usage. What you think and whatever wrong with cyberpunk on this video

@@thecoinfactory The 5800x3d is on the old platform with no upgrade path. The 7000 series are are on a new platform with more to come for it. The 7800x3d will be more powerful than the 5800x3d. But the 5800x3d option can be a lot cheaper.
If somebody is looking for new ryzens, I can recommend Arctic liquid freezer 420, because I have mounted it on my ryzen 7900x and the thermals have never raised over 70°C. :)

For anyone between a 7900xtx and a 4080 I say buy the 4080 from Best Buy now. Nvidia is going to lower their price on the 4080 to better compete with the 7900xtx at ces. Once the prices lower you can request a price difference to be refunded because of their price adjustment policy. 4080 is way easier to get right now but will be a lot harder once those price are lowered.
How do you get your 7700x temps so low mine always hovers around 85 to 95 degrees Also does anyone else have the issue of your 4080 constantly crashing games, it happens every 20 minutes or so Also what game overlay do you use in these videos Great video btw
I'm using a 360 aio so my 7700x hovers around high 60s while gaming. As for 4080 crashing I've had no issues might be worth reinstalling the drivers clean or if it's still bad bios update maybe

I would buy a use pad but my table is only small, need a mouse mat slightly bigger than a normal size. You will have to get different sizes made Marcus. Camera overhead is great, adds to the broadcast.
Most people don't need such a PC. Realistically, 1080p with everything maxed is perfect. 1440p is ideal and 4k is for playing on a TV but at that stage if you looking for high frames, no1 cares about 4k then as those monitors are too expensive 😂 I like to watch older videos as they showcase hardware that's much cheaper now but gives so much performance
Even though I could afford a 4090 system I'm not going to as it doesn't make financial sense. I'm probably going 4060ti/4070 when I build in the new year.

So simply: H=Budget/Home/Consumer. B=Business. Z=High End/Gaming. I went for the Z590 + i5-11600K. with a recently bagged TuF 3070 for £350! Still a high spec PC in todays gaming world IMHO!

It seems that the CPU and GPU manufacturer’s are forcing one to have the highest CPU and GPU to get decent frame rates. And yet in a couple of months or so they are both out of date. I guess, you just have to be happy with what you get and learn to live with it.

Personally I don't like white builds and in particular I don't like the aesthetics of the NZXT case and fans. I prefer Corsair for fans and Case and I believe the classic black is more elegant.
why dont they point all connectors to the back so all wires get ran into the back and not seen and make the face of the mother board a pretty thing !!!!!!!!

I have the exact 7700x and 4080 combo. Works amazing. Major improvement over my 3700x and 3070.

FYI Do the PSU installation / Cable runs before installing the cooler or anything that may obstruct access to the ports!

If you are holding out for an x3d when they happen, a 7600x would probably be the best choice, and you would notice a better uplift.
7600 why? they say the 7800xd3 will be epic.

Shame you did not go with Aero model in white from Gigabyte and Aero mobo for perfect white finish, but I get the price was the main factor.

Is the cable bend to the GPU okay? I thought you need 3 CM before the cable bends for safety?

just check your gpu utilization. A 6700k will severly bottleneck a 4080 even at high resolutions

Yeah they get dissembled and most parts get returned
He’s a big tech TH-camr so he mostly gets sent stuff he has to return, his actual pc has (I believe) a 5900x and an rtx 3080

i just picked up this exact gpu but in open box for 1k and man i cant wait for it to arrive kind of made me want to go all white will Definity need to get a new case soo maybe...
This case will fit the NZXT Kraken Z73 RGB right?
Personally I don't like white builds and in particular I don't like the aesthetics of the NZXT case and fans. I prefer Corsair for fans and Case and I believe the classic black is more elegant.

Its a shame that people use the point of "losing DLSS" as a con without mentioning RSR/FSR.
DLSS is the overall best upscaling technique especially at lower quality levels and it does support the most titles.
why dont they point all connectors to the back so all wires get ran into the back and not seen and make the face of the mother board a pretty thing !!!!!!!!
