Is it not true that the American army around 1775 was schooled by French and Prussian instructors and they adopted the Prussian style which might explain why they have caused so much trouble in the world to Europe including France.

Since the whole podcast is not filled with music ( or something akin to it) I don't my a little lighthearted and interesting song even if it is not a pitch perfect performance. Even the occasional banter gives it some color. Other than listening to dry documentations only makes the Telegraph's one more entertaining in my view.

The Russian Pacific Fleet’s Varyag missile cruiser and Marshal Shaposhnikov frigate have called at the Libyan Mediterranean port of Tobruk, where they will stay for several days, the press center of the Libyan National Army (LNA) said.
"As part of efforts toward strengthening relations between the LNA command and Russia, a group of Russian warships consisting of the Varyag missile cruiser and Marshal Shaposhnikov frigate has called at Tobruk after finishing a visit to Egypt," it said, adding that the Russian ships will stay in Libya for three days.
The Varyag and Marshal Shaposhnikov were visiting Egypt’s Alexandria from June 10 to 14. On June 12, Russia Day, the crews organized holiday events and conducted joint drills with the Egyptian military on June 14. The Russian consulate general in Alexandria described the visit by the Russian ships to the Egyptian port as "another step on the path of practical consolidation of Russian-Egyptian cooperation in the naval sphere.".

The trilateral talks between China and Japan and Sth Korea were a ray of light on a sea of gloom. Very very significant firstly by the lack of any US involvement with Sth Korea and Japan throwing off their shackels. Secondly the consensus reached as reguards to a Western led war in Asia. Very heartening...The differeces between these countries were not mentioned. ..It's called diplomacy. The total lack of western media coverage speaks for itself.
