In 2003 US and UK planes bombed Iraqi power and water supplies, civilians died in these strikes and in the aftermath from water shortages, WMD just don’t mention that 🙄
What's your point?
I think he’s saying that it’s okay for Russia to deliberately target civilians and civil infrastructure such as dams and power stations. Ridiculous really so I suppose Ukraine also has carte Blanche to attack Russian civilians/ power station and dams. Which of course it does not and neither does Russia.
@@AK-us2di Now US UK moan and groan about Russia bombing power supplies in Ukraine?

No, no, no. We do NOT have to accept Kyrgyzstan's denial even if it is plausible (which it isn't if we're being honest with ourselves). We can change our standard to the standard of proof that most nations use in lawsuits and other civil matters. That standard is: more likely than not. If we genuinely believe that the odds that Kyrgyzstan's denial is true is 51% or higher, then we accept that denial. But if we believe that the odds the denial is true are 49% or less, then we reject it. We are artificially hamstringing ourselves otherwise. Rogue nations are very much aided by the West's mindless assumption that plausible denial is the appropriate standard. That assumption is all the more mindless when the West pretends implausible denial is plausible, for example, when Russia denied its control over Wagner Group. That was always implausible and has become extremely so by now. Yet, next time that Russia denies its control of Wagner, some people in the West will still toss their hands up and say "we can't do anything because they have plausible denial."

The Russian military has successfully targeted another German-made IRIS-T SLM medium-range air defense system of Kiev forces.
The air defense system was deployed near the settlement of Novomykhailivka in the Krivoy Rog when it was hit with what appears to be a Russian ballistic missile, most likely an Iskander-M. Video footage of the strike surfaced online on June 23. The footage confirms the destruction of one launcher and another unidentified vehicle of the system.
After the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, Germany promised to supply Kiev forces with 12 complete IRIS-T SLM systems and 12 IRIS-T SLS systems. The SLM has a range of 40 kilometers and a 20 kilometer altitude, while the SLS’ range and altitude is limited to 12 kilometers.
Not all the systems promised by Germany have been supplied to Ukraine yet and most of those that arrived in Ukraine have been destroyed or damaged by the Russian military.
The Russian military intensified suppression of enemy air defenses (SEAD) operations this year. As a result of these SEAD operations, Kiev forces lost dozens of radars and air defense systems, including Western-made ones.
Ukraine has been begging its backers to provide replacements. The United States, Germany and other backers have already promised to supply more air defense systems. However, this will not likely change the current situation as the Russian military maintains a vastly superior air power.

How is the Ukrainian Army doing? More than 2,300 UA troops were added to the demilitarised scoreboard today. Another 2,000+ were added yesterday. At this rate, Ukraine will lose 10% of its army in the next month! - and another 10% the following month!

Power generation and transmission are dual-use infrastructure. Any country the USA decides to comprehensively torch, critical power grid components are among the first wave of strike packages after the country's air defence capabilities have been neutralised. The USA has used this doctrine in the past and maintains it to the present day.
In 1991, the USA wiped out 90% of Iraq's power generation and transmission systems over the period of 24 HOURS. In the past, when people were less reliant on continual supply of electricity, this would not be as immediately devastating but in 2024 it's only necessary to punch out enough transmission and capacity to overheat other parts of the grid, at which point the operators will be forced to shut down what remains or lose it to overheating and shutdown, no additional bombs or missiles necessary. Ukraine had a highly redundant, heavy, Soviet-built power grid probably triple or quadrouple redundant, with diesel backup power generation at key facilities such as hospitals, universities, military facilities, factories and so on...Ukraine also had a comprehensive air defence grid to mitigate any threat from above. Now, in 2024, that air defence net is severely degraded, even Oryx shows the extent of S300 systems lying destroyed, and there are no interceptors for those which remain. It was only ever a matter of time befire the Russians, fully aware of the most critical electrical facilities to strike, were able to degrade the system's redundancy, then break the links altogether.
Am I a bot? Am I lying? If so, please point out where. Why does anyone think that the USA and Russia are bith non-signatory to the ICC?

P4OPAGANDA
I think it is a complex moral question, but the actions and attitudes of the two opposing military forces matter in providing context to the strike.
Russia has made verified targeted strikes against civilian infrastructure for two years on now. Power stations in winter, hospitals, book factories, port facilities, civilian administration, hospitals, schools, and simple residential areas. There has been forced placement of military hardware in those areas to *defend* the civilian infrastructure.
Now on the opposite side, Ukraine strikes have not been on civilian infrastructure until this last half year, and that attacked infrastructure in the last half year has been petroleum refining and storage. ATACMs strikes are on Russian missile sites used for both air defense and launching ground attacks at Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, military stockpiles, troop concentrations, shipping, and some limited transportation infrastructure (the crimea bridge for example). A single instance of the wreckage of an intercepted missile or drone hitting civilians in a war zone is extremely sad and terrible, but to leverage that single report as equivalent against *TWO YEARS* of *TARGETED* Civilian strikes is frankly insane. Its terrible that it happened, ascribing diabolic intent and equivalence to it is nuts.
ah, yes, all those Ukrainian military personal taking photoes inside of the schools while rooms filled to the brim with explosives and ammunition was totally there for the defense of the schools, not using such as a hiding place, making a clear as day warcrime, sure.
elefant in the room, Ukr is directly controlled bythe US since 2014. To be destroyed on US behalf. Ukr is US meatshield, US believes it can run away. What if RF catches them and does not allow that ? What can the US do ? Nothing, except get beaten from the left and from the right, from the front, from the rera. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. They brought this onto themselves.
