- JF-17 is the most modern and underused module in the sim. Trial it for 2 weeks and see how it goes for you, I'm still new so if I'm wrong about something leave me alone XD. Like the GBU's for example turns out you can carry about 6 of them in total "with TPOD" And it can also carry GBU-10s which I never somehow noticed. AND IM NOT GOING TO RE-RENDER THIS AT 2AM TO FIX IT GO AWAY, love you all

Probably the most underrated module we have in DCS.
Jf17 thunder jet fighter is the correct need for Pakistan, it does the work requirement for the needs of Pakistan regarding its geographical location and the defence needs are fully met by the Jf17 thunder fighter jet that's why this plane is most suitable from any other fighter jet
If Ive seen this video before buying the f-16 as my first module i would have 100% bought this instead, the weapons it can carry seems waaay better than the f-16 for A-G while still beeing able to stand its ground for A-A. Probably will be my next module, ty for the video!
F-16 is defentley its own beast with a much heavier payload, the jf17 is like a more modern lightweight alternative
@@Ayden_oh_no Yeah but it lowkey feels a bit limited on what it can achieve for A-G due to its fuel capacity and variety of weapons it can use (personally it probably is because i love laser guided rockets)
Fuel on the JF-17 isn't amazing either but your right about laser-guided rockets, one of the more fun weapons @@Katerinuuu
Good video but one correction, PL-5 has a few variants, the -5B/C are closer to AIM-9D/G while the PL-5EII is closer to the AIM-9L/M and is by design all aspect 👍have a good day.

I think you missing with the ls-6 bombs might have been because you didn't align them. I had the same issue until I realized that they have a 3 minute alignment time once they're switched on, you can see the timer under the HSD on the right screen. Great video tho!
I beleive at the time they were aligned, just talking about previous experience they don't like extreme angle deployment parameters. Great bombs when they are deployed correctly.
i don't know why but i love long range munitions such as glidebomb's cruise missiles and stuff. and this aircraft makes my dreams come true

This seems to be a decently modern, effective, and pretty cost-effective jet. It can wreak havoc on the enemy if the air superiority is achieved by high-end jets.

Pro tip: Unless you are certain you will be aerial refueling it is best to forgo the probe. You can achieve higher mach numbers without the probe as well as burn a tiny bit less fuel.

You missed the other capabilities, like GMTI, MAWS, DSTs, landing mode, DTC, the SPJ, TA mode on the radar, etc.

Pakistan Airforce have one of the best fighter jet in the world the jf17 thunder, no other fighter jet can match the effectiveness of this fighter plane

@@zuliali8098 f15,f16,f18,su27/30/35,eurofighter typhoon,rafale,gripen. Don’t get me wrong the jf17 is a wonderful bird, but it was designed to be a more affordable and some corners had to be cut. But for it’s price it gets the job done wonderfully.

Some facts about JF17 -
1) Dubai 2021, LIMA 2019, Bahrain 2016. Each time the Indian Tejas participated in an air show, the Pakistani team cancelled their JF17 participation, ceded participation fee and ran away
2) The manufacturing country China does not use jf17 and only exports it to poor countries
3) Even after buying 150 of these jf17 the Pakistan Air Force still relies mainly on their old American f16 and has also started buying Chinese J10 fighter, acknowledging their dissatisfaction with this junk jf17
4) The jf17 block 1 and 2 do not have AESA radar, no in flight refueling, only two dimensional fly by wire, all metal body causing high weight, low thurst weight ratio, older electronics and only Chinese weapons to fire
5) The new block 3 jf17 variant has a cheaper air cooled AESA radar unable to operate at max power and hence lower range. Further, block 3 retains the same old Russian rd93 based engines, uses pod based electronic warfare as well as same metal body and cheap build quality as older block 1 & 2
6) JF17 does not have sensor fusion capability and nor any active/shape stealth features to cater to the advancements in technology for going beyond the fourth generation of fighter aircrafts
7) The all metal airframe has poor manufacturing quality resulting in an availability of approx 40% for Pakistan Air Force
The performance and reliability of jf17 is so bad that both export customers, Myanmar as well as Nigeria air forces have grounded this aircraft
The availability numbers of Pakistani jf17 are mostly hidden by Pakistan Air Force, but Myanmar and Nigerian air forces are more vocal about their dissatisfaction. These have been detailed in pentapostagma as well as irrawaddy
8) Contrary to this, the Indian Air Force is impressed with the performance numbers of their baseline Tejas variant over the past four years, so much so that they have placed orders for 83 additional Tejas aircraft in improved mk1a configuration and ordering another lot of 97 more Tejas fighters
9) The Tejas aircraft is also evolving further with the mk2 variant as well as a naval variant called TEDBF, both of which incorporate sensor fusion and more fifth generation technologies

Great bird in dcs tho, and the engines are based of the rd33, the ones used in the MiG 29😉. If I’m not mistaken the block 3 gets a 3 axis fbw, and irst, it also uses more composite material reducing weight as you mentioned, and it also gets the ws 13 engine increasing thrust. Honestly not bad for a bird built to be affordable among the 4th gens
As you said the hal tejas is simply superior to the jf17 but considering the shitty situation of Pakistan they didn’t do a half bad job at making an affordable fighter. And also from what I can gather, Nigeria didn’t have any complaints about the jf17, only Myanmar did

With structural deficiencies causing an availability rate below 40% even the Chinese don’t use it and only export to poor countries. The pakistan Air Force is already feeling the pain of maintaining this useless junk but poor guys are not allowed to speak out for fear of negative public reaction
However the Malaysians have no such qualms and already complaining to the Pakistanis about structural issues with this junk
