Hey everyone, thanks for watching! 🚀 I apologize for not being able to showcase the external views of the explosion. Unfortunately, the replay file got corrupted, redirecting the cruise missile unexpectedly. Despite this, I hope you enjoyed it!
Hey, just so you know, there's a different control method for the TV cruise missiles in the special options for the JF in the main settings, called Designated. It makes the missile camera act more like a targeting pod - the missile continues to fly on its course, and you can look around with the camera. Moving the small crosshair and depressing the TDC will make the missile alter its course towards whatever you targeted. I find it much easier to use than the mode you have it in here, feels far more stable, and minor corrections are much easier. Edit: Forgot to mention, good kill!
You could have created a PP by putting a "PP1" marker on the map, that will be loaded onto the DTC. Alternatively if you create a waypoint yourself, you can go to DST, step to your waypoint, press CPY and then step down to #36 and paste it with PST that would be the same as PP1 so you can shoot the cruise missile in COO mode and it will go to your PP1 waypoint
Just to be nitpicky: JF-17 is a bluefor aircraft: the major part of R&D was made by China but it's built and used exclusively by Pakistan (which is a major non NATO ally), has western avionics and uses NATO weapons (not many in DCS unfortunately).
@@ToteTorresWW yes, those nations have bought it and there are a lot interested: Vietnam, Iraq, Argentina and more. It's more than understandable tho: the block 3 version has AESA radar, large FOV HUD, improved engine, TGP specific hardpoint, IRST and HMD, can carry a lot of weapons from different countries and costs half of a F-16. It may not be the best in terms of performance but IRL quantity is often better than quality, especially if the difference isn't very big as in this case
It looks like either you need to lower the radar elevation a bit, you use the same buttons/axis that it is done for the radar in a/a mode. Other than that, it is possible to raise the gain of the radar, making everything brighter
