No domestic cleaners, shock horror! Fill your own car, oh dear, what next! Only South Africans could see these as issues.

Yeah that was ridiculous I live in US and I don't have a cleaner or anyone I know

As a former South African who has lived in Canada for over 30 years, I had to laugh at the notion that filling ones own car might be considered a hardship 🤣. It brings back memories.

Thank you - now I know why I ❤️ Australia - I’ve been there back in ‘83 - lived in Rosebay - near Bondi Beach - but I need another visit - I love it there - I’m from - Toronto - Canada 🇨🇦 - similar places but with unique differences - wishing both of you a happy new year 😊

I spent a month there . My family passed away. My mother was Australian Army officer. I think I can get in Bitos send I’m getting older I enjoy the warm weather and I have more friends in Australia. I practice reiki as a master teacher.

Hallo Quokkaroo. Julle lyk oulik. Verskoon dat ek n vraag in engels copy masr ek sal jul opinie so baie waardeer.
I‘m a South African currently living in Germany. We (my husband and I and out 3 kids) would like to move to Perth. We hope to find those friendly people and replenish our vitamine D deficiency.
Perth seems quite dry-more like Pretoria, is this tue or are there parts and especially suburbs that are more like Cape Town.
I am sure the city is amazing but I reckon it makes sense to settle outside of the CBD. Again, what I‘ve seen seems dry with little greener. is there a - to put it blandly- is there a pretty suburb that you would recommend living in.
Dis nie omdat ek in n grand area wil bly nie, ek en my man wil graag ons lewenskwaliteit verhoog en n mooi omgewing is vir ons n hoë prioriteit.
    Dankie byvoorbaat.

$15 pints of stout would give me a heart attack, $50 for a pack of smokes??
$250 to fill your car? $600 a week to rent a room?? $60,000 for dying??
$700,000 for a coffin size block of land?? $12.75 just to flush a toilet??
In Bali you can live like a Sultan on $1000 US a week, stuff Australia

Having someone clean my house is unusual in Australia
Having an attendant at the petrol station to fill your car up I guess it would feel a little bit embarrassing having someone do that for you but I believe they did it back in the hay days

Yep, very different in ZA vs Aus on these fronts!

In the 70s they would fill your car.Clean windscreen and check oi and water.Nowhere now drs that. They used to have a mechanic on duty at petrol stations .

We moved from Central QUEENSLAND to Melbourne because QLD was too hot. That was a big mistake, Melbourne is freezing 9-10 months of the year! Also biggest problem with Australia is the housing crisis. If you don't own a home you can forget it. Government only considers home owners as they are the majority voters.

Most Australians have NEVER BEEN WITHIN A THOUSAND MILES OF A SALT-WATER CROCODILE. OR HAVE NEVER ... SEEN ANY ... SHARK.
IN THIS REGARD ... AUSTRALIA IS ... THE SAFEST .. REPEAT ... THE SAFEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.
AUSTRALIANS ARE NOT ...THAT ... TOUGH.

The only one reason that has prevented me from moving to Australia is reptiles, spiders on walls and snakes in the backyard.

Australia best country on the planet and we’re surrounded by water so no unexpected visitors,as long as you have a go and don’t want welfare and handouts you’re welcome.

I moved to Australia 25 years ago. I now call this place home. Everyone gets a fare go here, and as long as you're willing to work, life's good. I don't get it why others rely on handouts even if they're strong enough to work.

    Canada the same way .
Hey, Siri is being isolated I’d rather be isolated from the United States. I’ve had so much trouble with criminal of investigator, horseracing and things breaking down, coming across the US border, guard money flooding in our horse race tracks.

Car accidents are more likely than encounters with snakes and spiders. To most people drop bears are more likely.

Apartheid ended more than 30 years ago so the majority of people who are emigrating there now have very little recall of that time
