What an excellent video Chamonix!! This should be made available to every prospective immigrant!! It is a comprehensive and realistic summary of day to day and monthly expences every day Australians experience! One can see a true reflextion of an experienced expat living for at least ?twenty years in Australia!! Congratulations with your superior analysis and informative advice!!
Hi @caiphasmutata9837, you adapt to your income, ie if you earn less than that you rent a house that is cheaper than what we have portrayed in this video. It is possible, many people do it. Living in regional towns also will have cheaper accommodation. And you adapt by not putting your kids in private schools, choosing cheaper afterschool or sporting activities etc. Also, most households have two adults earning an income which makes a big difference as then you sit on $140k instead.
Good question! It depends of course on what you do. Some salaries are around $65,000 (lower end of scale like cleaners) and others around $180,000 (construction managers) and then of course much higher for some business owners and high level boardroom type employees. Keep an eye out for my video about the top 10 jobs in demand in Australia in 2023, it will give you a good idea ;)
Thank you for informative video. 1) How about school for kids whose parents on 482TSS VISA? 2) 8300 includes private school fee & day care? 3) I had tried to reach the website for expenses but can’t able to open the link. Appreciate if you can share excel? 4) I guess income tax is extra, correct? 5) what can be extra cost to consider for 2/2 family for one who is coming on 482TSS visa? Sorry for many questions. I hope you can help me with 😊 Thanks again
Let me know below how much your household's monthly costs are at the moment!
