The Mtech raptor bowie knife mx8070 is a REAL beautyful monster!
Its indestructible..i have done some tests with it..you would not believe..
What a great Bowie..and it keeps an edge for very long time and is easy to sharpen for me..
Its out of production..i think that bowie will be worth much money in the future.

Couldn't agree more, such a damn shame. Only managed to get the MX-8068 Outlander so far which is also an MTech beast.

When a seller on EBay knows they are no longer available, they tend to hike up the prices .
This is why we need mtech to do another production run on these 4 .
And they better use the same materials too !!

8074 is a epic blade. I am so blessed to add that one. The raptor is a monster and will be forever a classic. The last one I must find
I got so lucky with all of these . Well 3 of them actually. When I bought the 151 , there were plenty available.
Then the word got out !!!
Now it’s a rare one along with the other 3 .
That last one is a BEAST !!!
Powerful too !! Has a skull crusher I forgot to mention . MX-8055 .

The raptor looks like you could also use it with the clip side down. Sharp edge up. Lots of the old bowie knives were designed that way for fighting. The clip and tip are deadly. 👍🏻🤠🔪🗡🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

They had it listed as “ Used “ with a slight mark .

See , I've got a couple of the budget MTech knives on the way because of one of those discontinued blades we sometimes run across but just have to have it . I guess the story of getting two budget knives to "test" a blade that cost me six months of digging through the internet and $637 is for an upcoming video . Thanks again for sharing these beautiful knives and I guess I'll start looking for one of those Raptors man . That thing is a beast

Great review! I'm about to pop for a $25 M-Tech machete that looks too good to be true. It's beautiful machete. Crappy sheath but I'm hoping to start making my own custom kydex sheaths for my budget fixed blades, Mora etc

The Raptor is one of the toughest knives on the planet
and it hold in hand very well for a large Bowie Knife ,those other two
I haven't been so fortunate to obtain but if the chance arrives I will not let it

I just bought another 3. People are buying and selling it for triple the price. And for knife enthusiast it's a race. Because I know there's people like me who love steel. Guns bore me but knives are a beauty. The one to get right now is the MTech USA XTREME MX-8090SL FIXED BLADE KNIFE 13" OVERALL. I honestly think there's only one more. MTech knows what they're doing. These knives are awesome. Two of the ones you're showing you can't find anywhere. So I'm putting in $200 and buying these up. Thanks again for your reviews.

@@tubes5150 We'll see. I also bought the last mtech usa mt-20-19c. It's a combat knife. I remember in the 90's when Cold Steel came out they were just like MTech now is. MTech is proving that 440c is a good steel. These knives you have will go up in value regardless if they are made in China. The steel is good. It's all in the hand that wields it. Some of these guys who do cut test don't know how to use a knife in the first place. I rather someone just show me the specs.

Gotta say I'm a fan of the 151 I got mine recently at smokey mountain $19 I have another one I use all the time. I only got the second one incase something happens to the first one. They are getting hard to find.
I don't think the raptor can be found anywhere.
It really seems Bowie knives have gone up in price, and are hard to get.
Really the only one I can truly speak on is the 151. I'm really amazed at how great a knife it is. Because of the price I've did things I wouldn't do with a more expensive knives. The thing holds up and keeps coming for more. I did put a convex edge which totally changed the knife to the beast it is now.

I scratched my itch last night. I got myself a schrade schf 37 . My good mate has a schf36 & he really loves it for a budget beater 1095 carbon steel. It comes with a ferro rod that works well. I also bought a 1/2”x 8” ferro rod . I’ll give ya a wee tip with ya 🔥 mate , like everything it’s all in the preparation. The finer & fluffier the tinder & good air the better the burn .

Have the raptor great knife but have you checked out the mtech outlander pretty much the same as the raptor but with some serrations on the spine of the blade picked mine up a couple years ago don't know if you can find it any more

Mtech basically is a budget knife company as a whole don't get me wrong they get the job done and they are good for the price but their bread and butter is budget knives.

Always been a fan of MTech. As I have said to you in the past, I am all for a good looking decent quality cheaper blade that I can use for it's intended purpose, and replace if that causes it damage. I mean who is really taking a 300 dollar Trailmaster San Mai out for heavy field craft usage? I've never met that guy.

I agree 1000 % !!! I have some really high quality blades that cost a small fortune that I personally would not use ( want to keep their value ).
I always stressed that I’m a big time collector.
I’d say 10 % of my collection do get used in rotation .
Maybe a few hacks here and there with the more expensive ones .
But I gotta be honest with everyone .
I will highly recommend those big beauties to add to their collection and they can do whatever they want ….. but I’ll bet that 9 out of 10 Knife snobs don’t use theirs either .

I love when someone spends their hard earned money , say $200 to $300 , and they want to talk about their blade , only to see how their is always someone with a much nicer , more expensive blade in their collection.
Bark River can be quite expensive ( especially the older ones ).
I highly doubt that the owner is using .
Even he isn’t going to want to mark up his $700 to $2000 blade haha .

I won't pay what cold steel wants for a trailmaster, 400$???? This is a great option, and I won't feel bad about beaten on it.
Yeah that price tag is a factor to consider on the Trailmaster.
