I'd rather watch a cooking show like Justin's where he is using basic ingredients receipes with mouth watering results. These new cooking shows all about competition with bizarre ingredients has run it's course...let's get back to traditiinal down home cooking shows.

@@shirlebug I'm from Mississippi and it depends on how you were brought up. I didn't have any grandparents by the time I was born, they were already gone but all my cousins referred to theirs as grandma and grandpa and that's the only way I ever heard of grandparents referred to until years later.
My sister-in-law called hers papaw and memaw. My mother called her parents momma and papa but my brother and I called ours as momma and daddy and this is how I refer to them to other relatives also. My stepson called me papa at first but I told him that made me sound too old and to please call me dad or daddy so he called me dad.
When I talk about my parents to others, I refer to them as mom and dad, mother and father, or parents, depending on if it was formal or not.

Ol' Justin was a favorite of mine along with Jaques Pepin and Great Chefs of the West on PBS back in the day. I used to watch it with my Grandparents and I loved my grandfather's reactions to Justin. They were similar in humor though my Papa was from West Texas. I learned a lot of my cooking from him and the other shows and still use many of the techniques and even recipes to this day more than 30 years later.
