Pierogi, you shutdown a call number and you were not even here. I had a scammer call me and I called them back several times just to tie up their line what I was listening to one of your shows in the background. So I had this bright idea, I would call them repeatedly and just hold the phone up next to the speaker while you were doing your packing on the computer. It took about forty times of calling them before they disconnected that number, but I did tie up at least 2 hours of their time. Thank you for your help, and all your hard work!

I got scammed by a PayPal scam in 2022. They got me for almost $30,000. I did manage to get $13,000 back. These people ruin people's lives, and I was totally devastated by this. I love seeing you nail these guys. Thank you for what you do.

I would like to see pierogi and those guys being able to do that but they’re gonna have to set up a debit card or something like that on a separate bank account where if they try to scam back on him I only have like say maybe 35 $40 in the account that way they can’t try to rip them off at the restaurant, but that would be neat. The state where these call centres are located is ruled by a criminal element and she would never take action against these people. The adjacent two states like Jharkhand and Bihar are equally criminal, but the only reason why Americans are somewhat safe from them is because these idiots don't know English.

I work at a law enforcement agency. The information I've learned from you guys has helped so much. The other day I was able to stop a citizen who was on his way to buy gift cards because of a jury duty scammer. Felt so good! I also use what I've learned to educate others on how their operations work.
There should be a $100 limit for ANY gift cards.

I have never worked retail or grocery stores, but maybe any store that sells gift cards could train employee's to speak up and question large sales of gift cards. That cashier or employee might be the last line of defence before a victim buys the gift cards and sends the codes.

I was scammed too. Reported to FTC, my bank, and police in the countries my scammer claims to be in. I have his phone number and he was apparently approached by police but no arrest yet. He told me he was working on a team of scammers.

I love it when the scammers are shown not only their work buildings but pictures of themselves and information from their phones etc. That must freak them out, hopefully enough to make them stop.

The grandma scam got $4000 off of my mom, and if I hadn’t stopped her, they would have gotten another $2000 the next day. $1000 gift cards from Target need to be outlawed, and I no longer shop there because AARP made them aware of the situation. My mom was later diagnosed with vascular dementia. Thank you for what you do ❤

Someone tried to scam me though email stating I owed $1,300 for crypto through PayPal. I played along, and when he asked me to go Target, I started playing one of your rants into the phone!😄 Didn’t take long for him to hangup! Wonderful; thanks for what you do and for your vocals to share with these creeps.

Email scams are becoming very sophisticated. Here in the UK, a popular one is that you receive a message 'confirming your purchase' on eBay for some expensive item you didn't order. The idea is that you panic and contact them back with your log-in and payment details. There is a similar one where you get a message saying you've shipped a parcel with DHL or whatever, to make you think someone is using your stolen card details. Again you are supposed to panic and call them to provide the details they need to steal your money. There are many, many more like this.

I find it hilarious that they don’t ask to confirm an account or anything, just bring up that you got an email and immediately “okay, i see you got billed for 30,00$”

I'm a police officer and I also work at Walgreens. and I saw a staff in Walmart scamming an old lady, she sold a tv which was to sell for $799 but she sold it for $4693 and I noticed this because of your videos it helped me understand why people do these things all for "Money" Thank you so much Pierogi for understanding this helps the community so much by all your work and efforts and, make people realize what the have done and change.

Ever since I started watching this video, I've gotten calls from some of these scam centres and I just taunt them and have fun and block thier asses off .😅😅 I soo much appreciate this videos 😅😅

It's about time that the virtual phone number providers start taking some of the heat that the scammers are getting. Without these companies providing the scammers with phone numbers to use their ability to run these scams would be decimated.
kinda pointless, they're not going to do a background check on anyone wanting a phone number (or numbers)
more often than not when hard evidence is delivered that those numbers are being used to scam they get shut down.
but even if they started doing background checks, a lot of these scam owners have contacts that can get those for them, so not really worth it.
Those Google phone numbers or ones going through a website are traceable. It just takes a few more steps and effort. The website connection to USA phone systems has to be registered and accountable, which falls back to the person registered with the website whether they know it or not. Just like prepaid phone cards and terrorists using them to detonate bombs 💣. It may not be traced to the exact person, but it will narrow it down to someone who knows who did it. A little backcountry persuasive tactics can easily extract that info.
It all depends on how bad they need to get someone.
I know people who use web phone numbers, and when the District Attorney gets a warrant to get phone calls and texts, if available, they still get the information just like a registered AT&T user. It just takes a little bit because they need to go through the website that patched the number through for the website user. It's not hard to prove it's that person's number because they'll have a Google account with an email address that can link them to it. If they've used multiple numbers through that site and same IP address/browser identification, that just links them more for identifying them. Criminals think they can get away, although it makes it harder to get caught. Like VPN, you usually have to register with your VPN provider. If authorities needed to, they could get information about the person who used the IP address that came from their website.
People like you who go after scammers deserve more recognition as a whole. Thanks for your honorable work

I get at least 3 to 4 scam calls a day . Luckily my family and I know this is BS , but for all the people who are targeted and are taken advantage of, I say Thank you ! We receive many phone calls from the Kentucky area of the USA where many Indians live. They always tell me that my mastercard has been hacked and someone has helped themselves to MY MONEY. I am amused. I do not have a mastercard at all. Never ever took out one. I always behave very calmly and tell the caller to let the thief now that they can take as much money as they want to,. They do not know what to say after that. The phone goes silent for a moment then they ask how much is able to be accessed on my card. I teel them they can take all that is on the card. After another moment they hang up. Every 3 months here in Brisbane QLD we get a series of spam calls. I report the local numbers on which they call so that our phone number suppliers can cancel this number. Their Indian voices are so easy to pick even when they use a pretend British sounding name.

I just happened to watch this. When I was scammed, I had been sick, with covid, and thought I had lost my credit card. I was told my credit card just made a purchase for 5k.for child porn and they would reverse that money by this special procedure. Bottom line, I went into " freeze" mode, meaning the amygdala part of the brain freezes, complete panic. I was told they were in Contact with my police, and helping me catch the person who had used my cc card to buy child porn. I believed them. Then as I went out to the car, I was so hot, due to 96 degree heat, my thirst, took me out of the Fear. I turned off phone and was on my way home from buying the 500 gift cards. Then I
thought, good grief, the guy is calling me back? they are yelling at me? Duh! I was being scammed. Thank you for putting this out there. Hope someone like me reads this. If they have an accent, with an American name, like Wayne, first clue 😮

How can you be scammed several times?
To clarify, I had my business account at Bank of America.. so a few years back before I knew about skimmer devices I used my card at the gas station, paid at the pump and they took every penny out of my account. Well the rules state you have to have a police report in order for the bank to fix it , but to get a police report you need the camera footage so they know you're not lying. Well I went back to the gas station they said the cameras were down, I went to the surrounding businesses and the pump I happened to use no one had the angle, so no footage, no report, no help.. so I lost it all. Nothing I can do. Then I went to a state website like a legitimate state of CT site. To get a business loan to save my business, well Im still unsure how this happened but this loan company got access to my new Wells Fargo account and they took more. It's being investigated. But wait there's more, then I never received any stimulus, not 1 because someone took a first time home buyers loan out in my name. So the IRS explained that they were keeping all my stimulus money to pay back that loan. Which I never took out. So during COVID I lost my business and money, twice, couldn't get financial help because I file as a self employed so a 99 and my stimulus paid back a loan I never took out . To top it off I had to stop working to suddenly take care of my blind mom. So ya. I'd say I was fucking scammed. None were of my fault but I literally couldn't fix it.

Have you ever tried calling one of these scam shops (in Hindi) and tell them that you can't find their address for a food delivery from a local restaurant under their bosses name? I have a had a lot of people give me too much information (Address, Unit number? Buzzer number? What floor? What color building? Right or left out of the elevator? etc.) for something so simple.
