Young people are vulnerable to social contagions by influencers on social media, and addiction to their smartphones & social media. Old people are vulnerable to those who threaten them (like how IRS scammers threaten arrest or scammers threaten legal action or to freeze bank accounts, etc., & they tend to be more trusting than we are. (I'm 62, but I'm cynical & suspicious of everyone & everything.) Everyone is vulnerable to manipulation in some way. Think about what you buy. Do you REALLY need it or has some clever advertizing agency, fashion trend, peer pressure, societal expectations, convenience, habit, planned obsolescence, or tech upgrade convinced you you need it? We need to be vigilant throughout our lives. The elderly are more vulnerable because it is more difficult for them to recover from losses. Losing your life savings is devastating, and it's not something people in the prime of life experience in the same way. It's a loss and can mess one up mentally, and one is still a victim, but there is time to recover & make a good life for yourself in the Third Act of your life. The elderly are IN their Third Act. But I must reiterate that people are open to manipulation at ANY age. The difference is in how the manipulation occurs & who is doing it.

I just want to thank you and all of the Scammer Payback team for the work you do. I was actually in the process of being scammed a while back by the Microsoft scam where they tell you that you were hacked and everything, thank god while I was waiting for them to do stuff on anydesk I was also watching TH-cam on my phone. I saw one of your videos and you had just started talking about anydesk and how it is used by scammers to get into your computer. I continued to watch the video with headphones on and the scammer followed the exact same script as the one you were baiting. I baited my scammer for a little while saying word for word what you were telling the scammer you had on the line and tied this guy up for a good long while. Unfortunately I didn't have your skills, tools and know how so I wasn't able to get much information out of him, but you saved me from a scammer without even knowing it. Now I always answer scam likely calls in order to mess with them. It is my new favorite pastime, especially because I can do many different accents and voices without using voice changers. So thank you again for all you and yours do and I wish you luck in taking down your targets.
I have followed SP for awhile, and taught my hubby to always ask where the phone calls are coming from when he figures it's bogus. He likes to mess with them by keeping them busy like he's going to buy whatever they're pushing, but as soon as he asks if they're calling from Kolkata or New Delhi... amazing how fast they hang up. They try to sell us PC protection, Norton, etc., for computers we don't even have.
Thank you, your team and every other scam baiter out there for going after these scammers. Hopefully what you guys are doing will become an actual job and governments are going to take this scammer problem seriously and do something about it. God Bless.
The fact that he got more angry when you told him his boss is trying to contact you more than when you told him he got exposed just shows how much of an animal he is !

My friend's grandfather was scammed by one of those foreign lottery calls. He sent the scammers considerable sums for "processing fees" (they were telling him he needed to pay them in three phases in order to get his winnings, and he sent money for phases 1 and 2) before a wiser person told him what was going on.
I was walking through a big box store and saw an older man looing for Apple cards. My Nana self kicked into gear when I notied his hat, a Vet of the US Army Corp of Engineers had chosen about six cards and I had to stop and I said to him. "Sir, father was on the USS Forstall, thank you for your service. Can I ask you a question?". He told me his connection to the service while pulling the cards from that card stand so I politely listened and thank him again. Then I said, "Sir, do you know those cards are used by scammers to steal you money?" He said he knew that and so I asked if he was ok and knew how that scam worked. He thanked me and smiled but as I walked away I felt uneasy. Such a nice guy and a great asset to America. I hope the monsters didn't get him.
I used to work at a Rite Aid- saw it regularly and too often, the older people who were clearly being scammed did not want to listen to a young kid on how not to get scammed. I struggle with the thought that there are people who can believe a legitimate business will ask you to put cash in a box and mail it as a way of paying an overage. If im told $15,000 was mistakenly put in my bank instead of a $150 refund, I'd say send me a bill in snail mail, goodbye.

Just remember all large corporations would like you to send them cash wrapped in foil wrapped in bubble wrap wrapped in a T-shirt wrapped in newspaper put in a box with duct tape and sent somewhere overseas with no signature required… This is the policy of all large corporations as far as I know

Hands down the best content on TH-cam entertaining, informative, educational, drama, wholesome, litterally checks all the boxes. Give this channel its flowers.
My cousin was just scammed for everything she has, her life savings, her car, everything. At 65 yrs of age and disabled it will be near impossible to regain any loss. She is very depressed and feels foolish. Thank you for the services you are providing.
Sorry to hear that and she’s not alone. There’s thousands of victims each month that get tricked by these scammers😢🙏🏽
Please remind her she is not foolish, these people work VERY hard to streamline their scam scripts and “believable” reasonings to get anybody’s money that they can. Even people who work in technology/security are susceptible to being tricked and it only has to happen once.

I got a call from a Jordan. I told him he was famous on TH-cam and weirdly fangirl'd him. He called me a "b". I sang to the tune of the Aladdin song "You ain't never met a "b" like meeeee". He hung up. It was oddly satisfying.
