"Curious" is a great word. Back in the 18th and 19th centuries, curious had a scientific meaning. The Georgians had their cabinets of curiosities, the Victorians had entire rooms dedicated to their curiosities and Alice in Wonderland found things curiouser and curiouser, especially when the Cheshire Cat vanished leaving only his smile. Curiosity never killed that cat.
I always think of Alice in Wonderland when Jocelyn says 'curious.' The Olde Curiosity Shop and most antique stores are like falling into a rabbit hole. Lol.
Daniel, thank-you for sharing the historical definitions for curious. I love to learn! Especially now that I know I need to be like the Victorians and have a whole room for my treasures. Love that!
I was so surprised about one of your finds that my sister came into the room and asked me what was happening. I pointed to the computer screen and excitedly exclaimed, "Jocelyn just found a lamp that matches one that she found earlier!" My sister just walked out of the room. I am happy for you Jocelyn!
Every time you two laugh my closed captioning translates it as "(music)". Isn't that lovely? CC helps when you thrifters are in GW stores bc the stores are so loud. :)
You are so fun to watch with your humor! I could be a hoarder but after watching you shop and talk, the want to shop goes away. This is a good thing, Thank you!
Jocelyn you're so knowledgeable about antiques and the MCM decor I grew up with, I forget sometimes how young you are compared to me (64)...until those lamps and the goofus bowl. You thought "Hollywood regency", I thought 1970s weed dealer...paired with a tie-dyed parachute on the ceiling, glass beaded door panels, and an antique absinthe rig. I digress. I really dig the lamps 🖤. Happy Holidays, along with wishes for✌ and prosperity in the new year for you and yours.
@@elizabethwinkelman5536 You just know somebody bought that big piece of flowered cloth to make a front zipper "moo-moo"...to be worn with kitten heel suede slides, a mood ring and large hoop earrings...smelling like Jean Nate or patchouli. 😉
That fabric was goooorgeous! If you change your mind about keeping it, I hope I can catch it on your ebay! Dagney was right - fabric IS extremely expensive, so I get 95% of mine at the thrift store. You can find some amazing, high quality stuff. One of my best finds was 8 yards of vintage silk Duchess satin in slipper pink. Never could have afforded it in a shop, but $12 at Savers? Sure!
Wow!! I never find any cool stuff at my Goodwill!! Awesome!! I do find many vintage textiles, fabrics that are in perfect, clean condition! I have found Edwardian textiles, fabric that is perfect!! It is out there!! You and Dagny always have so much fun together!!
I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. I also hope you take a few days off to enjoy your family.
Hi, Your kids must be so excited with Christmas fast coming .hope santa get everything on there list. Such great children. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
How much coffee did you drink before stopping into this Goodwill?! Hahaha! The shelves in this place were packed. I love it when they are stocked like this!!
We have a reuse center near our house. Love it. i go look once a week. I find myself looking for things that you would pick out. I am very picky and only buy things that I really like. Love your videos.
How do you get all of your inventory processed, documented and listed? It would be so helpful to see the entire process from start to finish...including how you schedule and manage your days to fit it all in. Thank you.
Keep in mind that Jocelyn has employees, so it might not be helpful for you if you're planning on doing everything yourself. Misty (Thrifter Junker Vintage Hunter) has started to do more videos on Ebay though, and they've been quite helpful imo because she does everything by herself.
I just saw your new merch!! I missed something!!! Where can I find the meaning behind “The Missing Lid Conspiracy” or is it a general thing in most of your videos? (The latter is probably THE answer to MY own ? !!!) 🤪
Although attractive, eBay comps show that these hats, regardless of size, are numerous and sell for low prices. I suspect that would be CLL's reasoning.

My boyfriend has a "curio cabinet" that holds some of his treasures. It's really sweet
Don’t you know? “Satisfaction brought it back,” the cat that is.
It’s interesting how the meaning of words shifts over time and they come in and out of usage …

Lol!!
@@teresaweaver1012 I was thinking bridesmaid's dresses. Totally early 70s. (I'm 63.)
I have those lamps. They were my mothers. My mother always had a high and interior designer help decorate her home. Great find a good well!
Pomegranates are EXTREMELY healthy fruit-seeds! They're a "super" food, so good for Juliette!

Your GW videos are my favorite! It’s such a thrill to find treasures at GWs!
Love those lamps.
Please do a SOLD vid on this! - So many interesting things I'd like to know how each sold!
The great lamps and fabric looks so cozy.
The black plastic tumblers with the owl where sold as part of a school fundraiser in the 80s or 90s! I remember buying some.
I love those gold lamps, good buy!
I had that Laurel Burch doggie purse. I wore it out.
While your discussing the fairy lamp top, my eye was on the carved wood bookends. And then they were gone 😳. 😂
I noticed those too, beautiful!
I love those too!
Wow! The matching lamp!
I am always amazed at the extent of your knowledge!
No way! That granny square blanket!!!!!!😍

Hi! Those little plates you laid the pomegranate onto looked nice! Love the southwest piece and the lamps most of all.
Oh my goodness that purse is adorable...
Thank You 🎄
Hi, Your kids must be so excited with Christmas fast coming .hope santa get everything on there list. Such great children. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I’ve been watching you for many months and I’m still learning! Goofus glass is new to me!
I remember the snowman-pipe-booger incident of last year!!! You two couldn't stop giggling!
Glad to stop by and watch. The last 6 months has been brutal but moved 1/2 across the country and settling. So enjoy your show.
Keep well and have a happy Christmas and New year
The cute Lil green glass top hat candle holder or toothpick holder is Fenton.... Nice!
Love that purse!
I collect Laurel Burch cats.🐱🇨🇦
Here’s a cow creamer. Now we mooove into the green isle. 😆
That was a really good haul, esp the lamps and southwest picture‼️
The lamps are fabulous! You haven’t bought any lamps in minute.💕
What a fun trip, thank you!!
I love that doggy bag
The Whalers were also based here in Binghamton, NY before they went back to Hartford!
Not me instantly checking your ebay to see if you've listed that precious cow.
On the shelf below the green covered container is a bowl by Southern Living At Home (Gail Pittman). I want it! 😁
I discovered a Goodwill that always has some great stuff!
Vintage lamp has old plug... Christmas wreath cute.
How much coffee did you drink before stopping into this Goodwill?! Hahaha! The shelves in this place were packed. I love it when they are stocked like this!!
I think you may regret not getting that Daisy & Buttons hat. IMO.
Came here to write this. She put it back and I was like, why are you putting back that Fenton hat?!?!
I remember that other booger Santa. It was pretty funny
We have a reuse center near our house. Love it. i go look once a week. I find myself looking for things that you would pick out. I am very picky and only buy things that I really like. Love your videos.
Dagny has your back when it comes to fun sponging!
Glad you had success. Great to see Dagny also. Keep thrifting Gor those treasures.
The Harford Whalers hoodie for the win in my opinion.
I will my goodwills had this good stuff. Great finds.
Every pomergrant has the same amount of seeds....trivia
For real?
1909 fabric reminds me of the school hall curtains at my old primary school
I remember the booger snowman!
People have a problem with curious!? Good grief!
I like the doggy purse
I love that goofus glass
I think maybe the fabric you picked up may be considered "velour," like velvet, but not quite...the 70's were full of it...
Great haul!
Well as usual I liked the black & white purse at the end that you didn’t pick up. Lol. Just a woman looking for a bargain today
Don't skip Christmas isle. People take things out of their carts & put them on random shelves.
Thanks for sharing.
Enjoying your videos
I wish you would measure the necklace and bracelet to see what size they are thank you
You did a great job with this video
Hi Deb from Ontario Canada. Merry Christmas and happy new year
Yay! Time for my CLL fix!
Lots of good finds!
I remember the booger snowman! ⛄️

Awww. You missed the Fiestaware Green plates
Fun stuff!❤️
Christmas window lights are a good seller 30-50 dollars
Awesome vid. 🎄♥️🎄
Watch out for bedbugs on anything fabric😥
Good thought. Freezing temps kill bedbugs--put it in your garage for a few cold nights...
You and Dagney are like teenage girls when you get together. Love it.
Oh my, I used to have that same tin a bizillion years ago...LOL
Goofus glass maybe persimmons and pears….🤷🏽♀️
Pa. has got some good thrifters.
I just saw your new merch!! I missed something!!! Where can I find the meaning behind “The Missing Lid Conspiracy” or is it a general thing in most of your videos? (The latter is probably THE answer to MY own ? !!!) 🤪
Crazy lamp lady finally got lamps. I have never seen her buy one.
Wow you drove almost 2 hours one way for us, you are amazing even tho your put the booger snowman back 🤣.
love your hair
Hi sweetie 😊 I love those lamps wish I could buy them from you, but I don't know how to get to your selling sites.
What site/ app is that you are looking on to check prices please?
Great haul. You got some cool stuff. Hope you and your family have an awesome Christmas. Love y'all. ♥️✌️🎅🤶🎄
Always drive carefully, you have loved ones waiting at home for you.
You two stress me out how you don’t lift the plastic flap on the top part of the shopping cart to cover the holes. Something is gonna slide out lol.
Daisy and buttons glass hat? Why did you pass on it? Not enough value on it? Just wondering..
Although attractive, eBay comps show that these hats, regardless of size, are numerous and sell for low prices. I suspect that would be CLL's reasoning.
The fact that this store is organized by color makes me absolutely nuts. How can you find anything in this hodgepodge?
You have to go in with the mindset of... "I want something blue today." Hahaha.
Those lamps are lovely, how old do you think they are?
