yes! I always told my daughters ...look around, get in, lock, start, seat belt...you want the door locked n car running if you need to leave immediately...worry about a seat belt after you get away
I’m a chemist. The white porcelain scientific item you found at 19:05 is a Büchner funnel for vacuum filtration. The larger vintage versions sell for $3-500 and up. There are many collectors of old laboratory glassware also shown at 5:18
I was thinking it might be valuable. Fun fact, a lot of paperweight artists started blowing scientific glass, then moved to paperweights! NJ is a hotspot for glass.
Hmm. This is not to offend but rather to contemplate. Jesus on the cross said, "my God, why have you forsaken me?" Maybe that is to show us that being broken isn't a crime or even a failure. Jesus is the one who demonstrated rising up after being wholy broken. Is that not the true lesson?
When I saw the fox item … I said right away… it’s a brush holder… his tail is called a brush!!!…. Maybe used to ‘brush’ crumbs off surfaces??…. I have something similar but is a wooden squirrel and his tail is a clothes brush … quite effective too!! 👍😀….Sue Uk
I have been watching you from the beginning - and while I was recovering from surgery your voice and adventures were better than pain meds! Thank you. and pray for your safety!
That Terra cotta disc looks like a brown sugar moisturizer. You soak it in water for about 15 minutes and drop it in the brown sugar container to keep it from hardening.
small round terracotta item is a brown sugar item you put it in the brown sugar after you moisten the round flat item with water and it keeps your brown sugar from turning into hard sugar you have to chip to make it sandy again.
Hmmm, just be careful Jocelyn, there’s so many volatile weirdos out there. I’m sure you’re careful of your surroundings, but the idea of him filming you would leave me feeling a bit uneasy too. Take care ❤!🤔
It has been a long time since you have a weird encounter. My top list of weird encounter that you had was the lady that was fighting with Andrew about the glasses 😂😂😂. Please be safe, always be aware of your surroundings, specially when you are getting to your car. ❣️
About the Nativity set- it is quite easy to repair artifacts like that, with the color clay like FIMO. You can use either low heated colorful clay, where you prepare the exact parts, bake them and glue them on, or you make it from airdrying clay, that is usually white and needs painting or coloring. Anyway there are always people who would love to repair these beauties.
Maybe you could invite her to go to the next Goodwill with you the next time you’re in Lemoyne Pennsylvania, hopefully you don’t encounter the weirdo again!
The brown round discusses with the kitty is for brown sugar. You leave them in a glass of water then take it out for a few hours. Drop in your brown sugar and it will keep it soft.
There are a lot of somewhat (shall I say?) unusual people who frequent Goodwills here in Phoenix to get out of the heat in summer. I have watched your videos for years and have been surprised that you have not run into them before. And yes, do be very careful and watchful of your surroundings and the people. Sometimes there are angry people and they can focus on someone for no reason.
That guy probably had his eye on the same perfume bottle you wanted. At least you’re a familiar face in your area so you know you’ve got backup if any weirdos get out of line. BTW I loved the area rug the other lady bought.
My favorite Aunt Karen passed recently, unfortunately it was before I could buy the shirt, I was born a Candance but deep down I'm a Karen. Because she was awesome, like you.
It looked like that guy was trying to record his shopping trip. It would be crazy to see you in the background someone else's re-selling video! Love Bonnie's rug!
I never pass Nespresso anymore. I had a limited edition mug that sold overnight for $60 obviously not all their items are worth it but I look it up every time now lol
That wild looking funnel thing. Why don't you do a quick picture search? It is a great search option. Really quick way to identify a potential money maker.
You never know what might happen at the Goodwill!🤣 Weird people!😂 But you did find a couple of worthy items.🙏🏻😍 And the rug from that lady looked gorgeous! Beautiful colors..😍
The second item, the little clay disc with the "Kitty Kat" could possibly be used to keep sugar from hardening in your container. You soak it and place it in the sugar container.
He wasn't Happy because he was hoping to get you to make a scene as what he was actually trying to do... You are always So Sweet and So Kind. Ignore the Rude it is just their Ignorance Shining through.
Love these videos, specially when I hear tears for fears in the background, your goodwills seem to play them a lot today it was shout , usually it’s every one wants to rule the world or head over heels 👠, but of course I watch for the treasures you find.🌸🌼🌸 Maria from New Zealand
I think the fox thing holds a narrow glass vase . It's cute. I would put cuttings in the vase to take root or just have a couple of fresh flowers hanging on the wall where it gets plenty of sunlight. I have about 6 little vases like that. I called my cat a couple of years ago, Kitty Kat. Shee knows her name, especially when she's naughty. lol.
The ashtray you looked at (4:38) appears to be mid-century or earlier. I'm not any kind of expert, I just know from my childhood that those were popular. Guess if it says China on the bottom, I'm totally wrong 😊. Ashtrays in general are sort of collectible because they just aren't in use much anymore.
One more thing, I don't know the original use for the cute fox but wouldn't it be adorable as a hand towel holder in a bathroom? Especially if you have a cabin type decor?
I thought maybe that guy was acting like that because you were videoing and he didn't know why so he started filming you 🤷♀️ I guess he thought that was a Karen . 🤦♀️ He may have thought you were videoing him 😂
Interesting I had an encounter with a guy at goodwill this week as well. He rode up on a bicycle when I was walking across the parking lot. When I walked by him quite a distance from him might add, he mumbled something I said what? He mumbled something else and I laughed then he mimicked my laugh. I was like whatever and kept going. Then saw him in the store, he picked up something and threw it, a woman and her child were walking down the aisle and he looked at her little girl and made the crazy sign. I was like this guy is bad news. I left. People are bad shut crazy nowadays in this country! So sad.
From a mother's prospective, please stay safe. People are getting excessively weirder every day and keep good watch around yourself.❤
We all Mom her so hard! 😄
Yes there are a lot of weirdos out there be careful
AGREED ❤
Double agree!
I could see him filming you and I was so worried!!
Always lock your door when you get in your car !!!! As soon as you get in . 😮
Excellent advice
yes! I always told my daughters ...look around, get in, lock, start, seat belt...you want the door locked n car running if you need to leave immediately...worry about a seat belt after you get away
The fox is a leash holder - the clip goes on the ring so it doesn't bang against the wall and the wrist loop on the hook below
At the end the lady who walks in with the rug Absolutely amazing
Yeah, I was wondering about that rug she had. Was it something special and was $30 a good price for it?
@@babykat1969she whispered it was worth $500
She said it was a $500.00 rug.
That rug was very cool. I loved her excitement and that she wanted to share it with Jocelyn
@@daisymay271 It appeared to be hand-hooked, so I'm not surprised it could be worth that much.
That guy is definitely NOT the type of "weirdo" you like😅

Not to mention great for Halloween displays!
That’s awesome!! She needs to go back and see if they’re still at the thrift store.😁
Dont use old scientific glassware for food or drinks. You really, really don't know what has been in it.
OMG, that guy was super creepy. Make sure Andrew, your family, and all your friends know about that stalker. Be safe!
"Jesus was the only one that wasn't broken." True words. Lol ❤
The truth
❤❤❤❤❤
The truest words…we are all broken but HE is not. Thank God 🩵🙏🏼🩵
Hmm. This is not to offend but rather to contemplate. Jesus on the cross said, "my God, why have you forsaken me?" Maybe that is to show us that being broken isn't a crime or even a failure. Jesus is the one who demonstrated rising up after being wholy broken. Is that not the true lesson?
My name is Karen but I would still get offended if someone called me a Karen lol!
Seems like the name callers are usually the “ Karen’s “

Oh very interesting smart 👍🏼
Yes I have a heart shape one that I use😊
yup
I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. I had one, back in the day!
@@janinebrown9773 I use mine, too. They work great!
small round terracotta item is a brown sugar item you put it in the brown sugar after you moisten the round flat item with water and it keeps your brown sugar from turning into hard sugar you have to chip to make it sandy again.
Yikes, that is really, really creepy. If you ever run across him again, please be careful.
Wallace stevens was a poet - wrote "Thirteen Ways of looking at a blackbird."
The huge white funnel is called a vacuum funnel. You add a piece of round filter paper, hook it up and draw air through it to dry whatever's in there.
Hmmm, just be careful Jocelyn, there’s so many volatile weirdos out there. I’m sure you’re careful of your surroundings, but the idea of him filming you would leave me feeling a bit uneasy too. Take care ❤!🤔

The orange clay disc helps to keep your brown sugar from getting hard
I so enjoy shopping with you lol I save lots of money ❤
About the Nativity set- it is quite easy to repair artifacts like that, with the color clay like FIMO. I’m crying😂😂😂 from 11:43-12:04 had me in tears.. the whole dialogue.. “why is it sad?” 😭
I think the fox held a clothes brush which formed his tail
I was thinking a necktie on the ring and a belt over the bottom lip. 😊
I was thinking long matches next to a fireplace.
Definitely makes the most sense to me and that would be really cute!
Or shoe horn
Or a clear glass vase for flowers
The lady at 5:45 was cool. She could potentially be a regular shopping buddy! Kind of like Dagney!
Maybe you could invite her to go to the next Goodwill with you the next time you’re in Lemoyne Pennsylvania, hopefully you don’t encounter the weirdo again!
I think going with someone slows you down
If a flipping aisle is blocked, you just go up another aisle and come in from another direction
Sometimes unhappy people target happy people.
A lot of people will not understand this comment but it is the absolute truth! ❤
The brown round discusses with the kitty is for brown sugar. You leave them in a glass of water then take it out for a few hours. Drop in your brown sugar and it will keep it soft.
Jocelyn, did you call the things sticking out of the figurines antennas??😂😂 i myself think they might be glowing halos maybe❤❤❤
18:32 I'd have nabbed that kachina so fast.... The Wallace Stephens piece too - he was a Conneticut poet who's now nationally known.

Ok buddy … 300, 00 eyes 👀 on you … the CLL army is watching . Jocelyn , glad you were safe and I commend you on your patience and forgiveness .
First little brown circle w cat is a brown sugar softener, put it in the container and stops brown sugar from drying out!
I thought the fox might be a hand towel holder
Dude is lucky Andrew wasn’t there!😮
Now THAT would have been a show lol
That guy probably had his eye on the same perfume bottle you wanted. At least you’re a familiar face in your area so you know you’ve got backup if any weirdos get out of line. BTW I loved the area rug the other lady bought.

Omg what a sweet lady!! 😊
11:44 the sad snowman , he sad because he's melting , melting snow on the teddy bear from the snowman.
That round disc is something you keep in your brown sugar to stay soft. Soak in water, dry off and put in brown sugar.
Thank you! I was trying to figure out what brown sugar disk meant. It seems better than using a cracker or piece of bread.
Hi Lamp Lady your goodwills seam to be stock with more nicknaks than ours here in Missouri. Ours have mostly clothes . Like your show.
So do ours in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Only full at Christmas.
Maybe the fox holds fireplace matches?
An old wives tale says you don't give a bank to someone with out some money in it. It's bad luck. So you should have good luck all day😊
Jocelyn, if you have a frother for your coffee bar to make foam in your coffee, maybe you could hang it in that cute Fox. Some of them might fit
The rug at the end looks like Company C, a nice find at that price! It’s so unnerving to encounter someone like that man, stay safe
That sad snowman thing was truly a little scary!
18:35 you missed the Longaberger Bell Basket 🔔
It looked like that guy was trying to record his shopping trip. It would be crazy to see you in the background someone else's re-selling video! Love Bonnie's rug!

I love that rug! It’s just about exactly what I’m looking for for my living room! ✌🏼❤️
I believe that fox holds a brush or something for the shoes
That pottery hands figurine near the beginning was a Peruvian nativity retablo.
I would take anything you will eventually sell like the Cochin doll. The large white item with holes is a funnel. Love your videos!
That big white thing with perforated playe is a buchner funnel. Is used in chemistry
Um....I think that white enamel funnel looking thing is what we used to spit in at the dentist before they had suction ???😆😆
You never know what might happen at the Goodwill!🤣 Weird people!😂
But you did find a couple of worthy items.🙏🏻😍

They are everywhere.

That beautiful nativity was probably well loved by the children of the family that owned it. My kids always wanted to play with the nativity. ❤
The fox is a cloths brush holder
Sorry for the encounter with the man. That was so sad about that nativity set. It was beautiful.
Great finds today!!!
He wasn't Happy because he was hoping to get you to make a scene as what he was actually trying to do... You are always So Sweet and So Kind. Ignore the Rude it is just their Ignorance Shining through.
Joshlyn that was a strainner for bottles of funnel strainer
Retired chemistry teachers like me collect that laboratory glassware. I may just have to run by there and grab a few of those things!
The beakers and “mad scientist” stuff sells really well at Halloween.
The Terra cotta cat is a brown sugar disk used to keep the sugar soft and moist.

Our goodwills on WV never have anything as nice and well stocked. Ever. ☹️
I’ve had that fox before, and it holds long matches and hangs next to your fireplace
Will the dragonfly thing be for sale and what platform it matches my new bathroom?
Don’t take it to heart ❤️ that guy was probably mad cuz he didn’t get to the perfume bottle first., weird O
Could the fox be a curling rod holder? Love that kitty you picked up first.
It looks to be a match holder the fox
I think the fox thing holds a narrow glass vase . It's cute. I would put cuttings in the vase to take root or just have a couple of fresh flowers hanging on the wall where it gets plenty of sunlight. I have about 6 little vases like that.

Oh dear! Just a random man with anger issues trying to pick a fight. Thank you for the video, loved the salmon falls pottery.

Love the color of the wedding box as you called it.
I think that round cinnamon color item was a thing to put in your brown sugar to keep it soft.
That guy would have unnerved me. Not sure I could have kept shopping and filming like you did.
At least she has him on film if he attempts to bother her again.
Please be careful, Jocelyn 🙏
For the mysterious fox, I was thinking maybe it holds a kitchen spoon or something.
White kitty planter planter came from CVS w/ plastic succulent . I bought it😺
One more thing, I don't know the original use for the cute fox but wouldn't it be adorable as a hand towel holder in a bathroom? Especially if you have a cabin type decor?
Isn’t that first item a brown sugar softener. Soak it in water and put in container with the brown sugar
I call them kitty cats, too. And you are not a Karen! Be careful of that guy!
IS the fox an incense burner? Seems weird, but it's my only guess. Oh, a vase holder... That makes more sense!
I would use the fox to hold those long fireplace matches.
I liked the bunny sitting behind the doll you picked up about 3 minutes in 😊
There seems to be at least one whacko anywhere you go anymore! Scary world! Stay safe.❤
My parents bought a pair of those hugging bears on their honeymoon back in 1946. They were green though. Still have them.
The fox piece that hangs on wall maybe put a glass tube & a flower stem??
You could take a google lens pic of the fox and it could tell you more info
I thought maybe that guy was acting like that because you were videoing and he didn't know why so he started filming you 🤷♀️ I guess he thought that was a Karen . 🤦♀️ He may have thought you were videoing him 😂
I think you are right
The fox holds a clothes brush or a pipe

I don’t understand the antenna like things coming out of their heads and that poor sad snowman he was melting on his bear😂
I think they are meant to be halos.
@@jillawatson8400 Yes, they are halos
and they wonder why we prefer the bear......
Exactly!
👏👏👏👏
sigh, its tough being named Karen these days!
I feel your pain!
I am surprised you do not get creeped on more often!
At 11:58 I lmao 🤣.sad snowman, Santa, bunny 🤷🏽🤣🤣🌷🩷. Have a wonderful day everyone 💐
That disk was for brown sugar. Wet it & put it with the brown sugar… keeps the sugar soft.,
Is the fox a pipe holder?
