When I went back and watched it with subtitles enabled, and with my full attention, it was utterly brilliant. And I thought season 2 retroactively made season 1 better as well. I'll be buying this on Blu-ray for sure. They earned it.
That's actually a good point: Loki's horns are a crown. He didn't wear epic, royal, god-like robes when he took the throne. It was the simplest fashion for a god. Humbling and humbled. ❤😢
yea THAT Victor didn't get a TVA handbook, but the regular Victor that was with them in the Loom room is still there somewhere, he didn't get pruned or deleted or anything strange, he was still there when Loki took over. So i'm sure he's in the TVA working somewhere, maybe even helped make the 2nd edition of the book with OB, etc.
I love the shirt. I personally want a text tone of Miss Minutes saying no with the “uh uh uh” sound bite. Thanks for the great episode. Thanks for taking the time to watch and edit it all. Great reaction!!!
I loved that in the first Thor, before he falls off the Bifrost, he says “I could have done it. For you, for all of us" (Odin: *no, Loki)* but with no understanding of what it truly means to be a god and have that power. And he falls off the end of the broken bridge into the abyss. This time he says "I know what kind of god I need to be. For you. For all of us" (Mobius: *no* Silvie: *Loki)* because he finally understands the burden of glory, and its a choice not a birthright. And he steps off the end of the broken bridge...and acends to his throne. I think its why the bridge resembled the Bifrost, so they could parallel that scene and bring it full circle. And that's just incredible.
I love this ending for Loki season 2 even though it's very bittersweet. Loki's Glorious Purpose has finally come by sacrificing himself to destroy the Temporal Loom from destroying everything except the Sacred Timeline with Loki replacing the Loom becoming the God of Stories. When Loki locks Mobius and Sylvie out and tearfully says goodbye to them, he says the same last words he said to Odin right before falling off the Bifrost Bridge and seemingly dying: “I could have done it, father. For you! For all of us!”. Loki's purpose is a glorious one, but the burden is completely heavy, where he is completely alone, unable to be with his loved ones ever again. Still Loki gets to watch over them from countless timelines on a throne at the end of time. No subjects to rule over, no family, no friends. Just him. His god attire isn't fancy, no gold trimmings, as it emphasizes the "burden" he places on himself.
It was incredible, and bittersweet is a great way to put it. The look of satisfaction and sadness in the final shot is amazing. What a journey for him! The parallel in lines from Thor 1 is really good too, wish I would have caught that in the video lol
Loki’s growth equals-or even surpasses-Odin’s growth. Odin as revealed in Ragnarok use to be like Loki. Wanted to rule the realms and conquer. Example Hella his daughter. Until he decided he wanted peace instead. To defend not take.
Id say he's had way more growth. I mean, if Odin had just done what Mobius did and spent some time with him like "i understand and accept that you're kinda psycho, but lets talk about _why_ youre kinda psycho. Maybe we can find a way for you to use that in a positive way" he'd not have tried to take over Asgard and Earth. I mean, you can grow as a person but theres stiil _way_ more to go when your general demeanor around your kid is _"god_ why did i steal that baby..." Sorry I blame Odin for a lot
There's a "God of Stories" storyline in the comic books that is substantially different than what happens in E6. I tend to call him the God of Stories now as well, but probably it isn't quite accurate, they just did something very different from the comics in the TV series. So God of Stories, God of Time, etc, it's probably all fine. :)
I might have to read that storyline! It'll be curious what he is referred to in the future of the MCU. That is of course if anyone learns about his fate.
Its ok, Marvels actually confirmed God of Stories is his new title! Sort of a twist on it though, rather than writing the stories, hes the reason everyone gets to _have_ stories. Like a celestial librarian
Great reactions, per usual, Kevin. I don't think you are in the minority, being unsteady with the logistical effects of this series on the MCU. I actually had No Idea how vast and in-depth this world is in the comics. I didn't grow up reading any, but listening to reactors and reading comments has given me glimpses of just how complex it all is. I am in awe. As a Discworld enthusiast, I get it and love it. However 41 novels pales by comparison all of the Marvel comic series. Will you be reacting to Echo for us? It is 5 episodes long and all dumps on Disney+ January 10th. Thanks for all of your reactions on top of your work and home life. Hope your brother is still recovering well. Dorky high fives from Colorado!
Glad to know I'm not alone, I never really read comics when I was younger and now it just feels like it's endless lol. I will definitely be reacting to Echo, can't wait! My brother is doing really well, still has some recovery in front of him but he is so far ahead of where he could be! Dorky high fives right back at ya!
What an incredible finale to a great season! What did you think of it?
Thanks for watching! ❤️
ok Kevin

Heavy is the head that wears the crown 😢💚
He finally got his throne, but at a much higher price
That's actually a good point: Loki's horns are a crown. He didn't wear epic, royal, god-like robes when he took the throne. It was the simplest fashion for a god. Humbling and humbled. ❤😢
I got that reference 😂😅

That may be, and I hope so. But OB seemed sad when looking at the handbooks, so I think Victor isn’t around for whatever reason.
Oh I really hope that they wrote it together now.
It is kind of curious that we didn't see him after the dust settled.
@@KevinReactsTV agreed, I’ve heard a lot of discourse about what happened to him. While I won’t speculate, it is very strange.

Yeah, I can't give up the shirt lol, and that would be awesome to have as a text tone! Thanks for watching!!

You absolutely nailed it! I didn't even connect the time bridge and Bifrost connection. What an amazing payoff!

All that temporal energy Loki absorbed and then he channeled it into each timeline reenergizing them or bringing them back to life. Just a theory 😅
That's a good theory!
the ending was insane !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Right!?! Blew me away
Subbed for that lo-fi intro.
Appreciate it!
Went back and watched Loki in the Avengers. What a character arc.
It's hard to find a character that had a better arc. It was incredible!
In the comics he may be the God of Stories. But here he has become the God of Time.
Reluctantly taking up the burden of his ‘glorious purpose’.
Incredible villian to hero arc. I really do hope we get to see him again at some point.
What is grief but love persevering?
What is time but stories unfolding?
I love this!

Absolutely! Can't wait to rewatch Ragnarok with this new context.

An amazing ending to a complex tale. loved it.
Absolutely! A brilliant story from start to finish!

i had o idea they were going for the God of Stories timeline... such a great ending
Gonna be reading that arc over the holidays! It was so cool!
Kang is defeated. Loki wins. The 8 year old kid close to the Black Sea that Möbius couldn’t prune probably didn’t get pruned and grows up to be Doom.
Well He Who Remains is defeated but the variants are running loose now. We'll deal with them in Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Oh I like the thought of that being Doom!
HUH. I just ran off to figure out where tf Latvaria is, and its one the other side of Romania, which is directly next to the Black Sea.
GOOD CATCH
I've wondered if the boy mobius was supposed to prune but ren slayer did was the young loki we saw at the end of time
Oh that’s a very interesting thought! I like it!!
Yggdrasil
It looked amazing!
I work in AV so when he said HWR I instantly thought Hardware Reset 🙄
