I’ve teared up for plenty of movies and shows, but this episode had me tearing up over things I couldn’t even put my finger on. Just from getting older-from being a dad. Having experienced how bittersweet life is. Loki is peak MCU. It didn’t all just lead to Endgame. It all led to this. Astounding.
It was a sea of emotions, but in the end... Loki gave a great moment of rejoicing in his great power of being the protector of the multiverse. And it was a great development.👏
I really like this ending. It was a great character arc for Loki and this series didn't suffer from the finale problem a lot of Disney shows have. This was a great finale to the series.
Yea quote Sif, "You are alone and you always will be", but I don't really want him to end up alone... However, he did get his "glorious purpose" in the end, albeit it's not glorious, just burden. Quote Mobius, "No, there's no comfort. You just choose your burden" 😭
Sadly I feel like this was a fluke. It's potentially the best thing Marvel Studios has ever released under their logo, but the head writer today just described their production team as being "Siloed off", essentially describing the production process as being sent off to do whatever they wanted with little to no supervision. I think this was a flash in a pan, right place right time, great writers doing great work that we rarely ever see from Marvel these days. If the next Marvel project comes out and it's anywhere near the quality of this season of Loki, then we're in good shape. But The Marvel's released this week, so I'm not holding my breath. Having said that, I'm grateful for Loki. I'll cherish any good project, even if it's just one.
And how many times has someone praised marvel for a series or movie and a couple of months later crap on the very same show. Marvel so called fans are getting more toxic than star wars fandom. They want the movies and shows made the same way but don't consider that the marvel comics is number one because of it's diverse storytelling. Humor, dark, uplifting, strange, clownish, downers, doesn't take itself seriously and does in different books and literations. No character is told the same way. People will crap on a project even before the trailer comes out all because they don't like the actor

Ig this was what Marvel was lacking since last few projects. The Epicness of the charecters, they are heroes and i know they gotta have fun parts too but they are supposed to be epic. I so hope they continue this manner of writing. P.S. He wasn't pruning the timelines in the end. He was reviving the timelines when he held them but they died as soon as he removed his hand and thus he had to hold all of them and remain there creating Yggdrasil, the tree of multiverse according to Norse mythology. He is supposed to be the God of Stories now similar to comics
anyone that reads the comics will tell you thats the greatest comic book accurate ending they have ever seen...i mean the god of stories weaving all the timelines together. what more can you ask for?
Marvel is at its best with reckoning and redemption stories. Tony Stark, Nebula, Gomorrah, Wanda, Yondu, Bucky. Now, Loki, arguably the best redemption journey yet. *THESE stories are what we need.*
In the end he found his Glorious Purpose. HWR was just a man who achieved a brilliant band-aid and also paved a path to help Loki, it took the god of mischief to find his purpose in becoming Yggdrasil, in order to maintain universal balance. 👌
I love the ending where Loki sits in the void with the dead timelines, he attempts to power them and realize he could do it, so he was settled on powering them one by one. But then someone, the universe or somebody of higher power maybe, was like "Oh so you think you can do it? You think you got what it takes? You think you can do better?" *opens a portal to the end of time* "Go ahead then, claim your throne" And Loki just accepts his new role as the Loki Who Remains.

Loki wasnt pruning branches at the end, he was rebuilding the timelines in a way where they were allower to branch without causing chaos and reviving the timelines
I "Loki" loved this seaon finale, had a blast watching your reactions. After she said "World Tree like Norse mythology" I instantly did a google search and found. "Even at the TVA, we witness their monitor representing the new MCU timeline in Yggdrasil form. Yggdrasil (from Old Norse Yggdrasill) is an immense and central sacred tree in Norse cosmology." What a great catch and great video you two, keep it up!
Maybe he can project himself as a living hologram or generate the Asgardian version of an Android body (via all of his learnings from OB) to be interact with those with bodies…
I think it’s both heartbreaking and beautiful that it wasn’t until after Loki decided and declared that “the last thing he wants is a throne,” that he finally got his throne. Not to mention episode 5 when he accepted the fact that he’s afraid and does not want to be alone. This ending was so somber and poetic. Here’s my question… Do you think Loki can duplication cast himself onto timelines to visit people?
This is some of the greatest television of the 21st century. And can we talk about Jonathan Majors' acting, talking about freezing time and doing an impression of himself as Victor Timely?
The ending credits song goes hard af. If I was rich you have no idea how much $ id pay to have an orchestra play that for me whenever I wanted & they were available
That conversation with Mobius when he says purpose is more burden than glory was "the moment" for me. It was so real and sad because it's true. You could see Loki realize what he would have to do. That's when I started crying and didn't stop till the end.😢😢😢😢
Loki's final line "For you...for all of us." Was the last line Loki said in the first Thor movie before he let go and fell off the rainbow bridge and it's his last line here as well, but much more bittersweet. Tom Hiddleston thought it up while taking a brief run around the lot the day they filmed the scene. Very cool.
The only thing I wish we had gotten was a moment where he goes back to his mum for guidance. I understand not bringing Odin back, just because his send off in Thor 3 was so phenomenal, but I feel like they should’ve given him a moment with Frigga, like Thor got in Endgame. I just think that would’ve been really sweet, and a nice surprise. Other than that, I think this finale was excellent.
What a finale ! It was Yggdrasil all along ! Loki just had his own Ragnarok moment, where he had to explode all life to be able to recreate upon it afterward. Completely agree with Jaby about how Loki sits now with Andor on the Throne of the bet Disney+ shows of all times ! And to Achara's point about the pacing, this is where I feel the directors took a page directly from Everything Everywhere All At Once (other than hiring Ke Huy Quan) : starting with the zany ridiculous timey wimey wibbly wobbly Groundhog day comedy at the beginning to make us, the audience completely drop our mental guard, only to hit us with the emotional combos one by one, in a crescendo of intensity when our brain lowered its guard, so now the heart is taking in all the emotional damage ! It's one of these fantastically rare pieces of work that is not only super clever in its writing, but unlike a Nolan movie for example, it doesn't forget to grip you by the emotions as well ! I hope that now that the strike is over, the whole cast can actually come back online and deliver interviews everywhere all at once, this series not only deserves it, it DEMANDS it ! It's now absolutely the best MCU Disney+ show, and very easily in the top 5 of the MCU's history as a whole.
This is Cosmic Loki, he can visit any and all timelines that are part of the famous World Tree of Norse mythology that we now see he personally created. He is aware that singularity and infinity are the secret duality that can accomplish omnipotence with enough concentration but can only be maintained for only moments by mortals. Gods have the ability to concentrate orders of magnitude more than mortals.
I think Renslayer is Niðhöggr who eats the roots of Yggdrasil; In Norse mythology, Níðhöggr (Malice Striker, in Old Norse traditionally also spelled Níðhǫggr [ˈniːðˌhɔɡːz̠], often anglicized Nidhogg[1]) is a dragon who gnaws at a root of the world tree, Yggdrasil. In historical Viking society, níð was a term for a social stigma, implying the loss of honor and the status of a villain en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%AD%C3%B0h%C3%B6ggr
Maybe not Renslayer herself, but perhaps a combination of her and Alioth? She was close with He Who Remains, and it's entirely possible Alioth recognizes her. I could see her harnessing its power in a desperate attempt to regain control of the TVA/Timeline.
Can we also talk about how genius it is that the first episode of season 1 and the last episode of season 2 are both titled “Glorious Purpose”? What a beautiful ouroboros.
I wonder what's next for Mobius! It seemed like he was going to leave the TVA for a bit, but where to? I guess he'll try to create his own life the way Sylvie did. He doesn't have his own timeline to return to, and he can't just off Don and take his place.
I love how the new branches altogether, formed Yggdrasil. But it's far more than 9 realms it's all the timeline branching out to all of the realities. Also wondering if TVA Loki crosses paths with Strange Supreme Somehow.

JusThe absolutely beautiful. One of the dopest thing I’ve ever seen. It all started with Loki, it all ended with Loki. And it began once again with Loki. For all time, always. All hail the would be king!
This finale was everything. So godd*mn good. Brilliant. On par with Infinity War and Endgame without question. Fantastico. I love how they took it back to season 1. My favorite scene was the conversation between Loki and “He Who Remains.” I’m about to watch it again. 😂 Very bittersweet ending though. I’m not okay that Loki has basically turned himself into a tree (explain the plot badly?) and can’t LIVE. And Mobius nearly had me in tears at the end.
i think Loki will progress further. It is the end of Loki. He will play some crucial parts when Kang's Dynasty drop in.
If he does come back, he will come back as the God of Stories, with a much bigger role. I do wish he comes back.
@@rudrodeepchatterjeeI'm sure he will😢
they brought everything back, his for you, for us all , is the same when he said it to Odin
the step into nothingness, when he was being selfish, he fell , when he is being selfless, he ascended.
So many call backs for a full character arc
This is definitely one of my favorite Marvel episodes of all time
its crazy that Tom Hiddleston played Loki for 14 years and he was able to redeem Loki twice through Thor 3 and now with this show
Burdened with Glorious Purpose. For all Time. Always.
oh my god. i don't know how to feel. i am so emotional. Loki is the ultimate hero now. he sacrificed himself and his life, to take the place as the person at the end of time. all alone. I am so beyond proud of him!! but it makes me so sad, i love him so much, that the thought of him sitting there forever alone, i don't now how to feel about it. But that was one EPIC finale ! 💕
Loki was burdened with glorious purpose since his birth and he proved it. What a show man 🥺
To me, Loki is the best Marvel project ever. Glorious purpose 💫🚀🐍♾️💚
They actually made Loki feel like a fucking GOD
He IS a God
This was Tom's final outing as Loki in the mcu. If he ever wants to come back I'm sure he can, and I'm sure he will return for cameos but I don't think we'll ever get loki as a main character again since he said this was the conclusion to the last 14 years of his life
Honestly? I feel that all of the disappointment over the post-Endgame MCU is moot now. The failures and the triumphs mean almost nothing in the wake of this show. Astounding.
Yggdrasil the World Tree is what the branches have taken shape into now it's the Multiverse Tree!?
Amazing season. Loki s2 is now MY top MCU show, toppping Loki s1 and WandaVision
It was a sea of emotions, but in the end... Loki gave a great moment of rejoicing in his great power of being the protector of the multiverse. And it was a great development.👏
I wish there is a Season 3. Sad to see Loki ended on his throne alone
I really like this ending. It was a great character arc for Loki and this series didn't suffer from the finale problem a lot of Disney shows have. This was a great finale to the series.
@@chaost4544 kudos to the writers, directors and all the production crews
Yea quote Sif, "You are alone and you always will be", but I don't really want him to end up alone... However, he did get his "glorious purpose" in the end, albeit it's not glorious, just burden. Quote Mobius, "No, there's no comfort. You just choose your burden" 😭
They left it open... hopefully Marvel can do the right thing and build on this.
That's the punishment for his past crimes metaphorically
MCU at its peak for now literally
@@ghostlee6434I agree with Marvel getting super toxic. All of the comments I see nowadays are so negative and only worsen my Marvel fatigue. The comments make me not enjoy marvel properties anymore because people can only see the bad things about them.
@@jessicamagri8211Because phase 4 is just trash? It's obvious bruh you want us to praise the shitty movies and series they have been making?
@@ghostlee6434Nope it's just trash that's simple. Loki was one of the best series I have ever seen but other than that Marvel has been making very very bad movies and series
This show is better than most movies that came out post phase 4, loved it
IMO this Loki season 2 episode 6 was the best thing the MCU have made in movie+film since spiderman no-way-home 2021.
@@drzero7Since NWH? Why are you saying like NWH is a cinematic masterpiece? Even NWH is overrated. Loki is 1000 times better than any Phase 4 projects.
@@the_varunrveltrue. NWH is only considered good because there were old characters in the movie. If not it's pretty bland.
@@the3sided finally someone who doesnt call me a hater for making a valid criticism
@@the_varunrvelyeah NWH was a great time. The story was decent, Peter's character development was good, goblin was threatening af
But other than aunt may, the side characters were a bit bland(including strange)
Loki's just different, it's..... It's like a breath of fresh air, a new story, a turning point to a series done to near perfection
And even Loki S2 redeemed itself with this finale..that Tree of Yggdrasil was a FINE choice.
Loki: God of Stories = Loki is in control of different timelines
An episode name has never been more true!
The God of Stories has arrived 🔥🔥 10/10 episode
Really needed this after watching the Marvels 🤣 THERE'S STILL HOPE ‼️‼️
lol after watching the Marvels, i was like "Yeah im gonna watch the Loki finale"😂
What do I do now that I've watched Loki finale first 🥲, should I watch the Marvels 🥲?
@@tusharrajkonwar2378don't watch.. worse Marvel movie of all time.. the good thing is Kamala, she's saving this awful movie..
The Marvels was probably the worst movie of the entire mcu. So...
@@tusharrajkonwar2378I’m still watching the Marvels. Doesn’t need to be a good movie for me to have a good time lol
This Was a Masterpiece!!!!
Best MCU series EVER MADE!!
It made me Laugh , Shock , Emotional ever feeling we could have and want while watching a series
It is Rare to watch a Series Specially from Marvel which have Next Season Wayyyy better than the First.
The Last Scene when loki Destroyed the Loom and walking at the end of time and seating on the throne was One Of the GREATEST MOMENT OF ALL TIME in MCU i was Just about to Explode with 😢 but i controlled it , Loki Hands down Currently My Fav SUPERHERO After Iron Man , The Character Development of LOKI from Starting to End Is Just AMAZING.. It is Better than any Hero in MCU.
From my POV - Sound Designing , Cinematography , STORY WRITING , SCRIPT, Dialogues,VFX+CGI etc every single thing was Perfect in LOKI.
Marvel we need more like this then only you will be able to make a COMEBACK and Get your Audience Back, every time LOKI will Not be There to Save You
Better Learn this As soon as you Can!
Tom deserve an emmy
Never thought Ironman would sacrifice himself in infintywar. Meanwhile, never thought loki would sacrifice his will to not to live alone 😢. Two greatest sacrifices
One greatest. The other what every hero has done at some point .
Cap, Thor, star lord, vision, have all sacrificed their lives, to save the planet/ others
One of the best character development for Marvel by far. We need more content like this from here on out.
This show has the best writing and directing
So glad we live in a time where we are able to experience Loki show. I'll definitely miss this show. Sad that its over but glad that it happens.
Fully deserve a standing ovation 👏
11:21 It’s because Sylvie has the same powers as him. She’s a Loki too so she knows how to slip past him.
Loki Who Remains!
"I might just wait here for a little bit, let time pass."
Such impactful words to conclude Loki's journey.
Yeah I agree Jaby, best Marvel D+ thing by a long shot. Loki's finally burdened with the kind of glorious purpose he deserves.
i couldnt wait for this since season 1 and were finally here what journey i hope we see hiddleston again he is LOKI
Loki wasnt pruning branches at the end, he was rebuilding the timelines in a way where they were allower to branch without causing chaos and reviving the timelines
Tom Middleton is a amazing actor as Loki 💚💚💚
Hiddleston
I "Loki" loved this seaon finale, had a blast watching your reactions.
After she said "World Tree like Norse mythology" I instantly did a google search and found.
"Even at the TVA, we witness their monitor representing the new MCU timeline in Yggdrasil form. Yggdrasil (from Old Norse Yggdrasill) is an immense and central sacred tree in Norse cosmology."
What a great catch and great video you two, keep it up!
Here’s my question…
Do you think Loki can duplication cast himself onto timelines to visit people?
Wow. What a bookend to Loki's story. That was an epic rollercoaster of an episode.
This is the best Marvel show now. It's crazy how genuine it felt in the end. A demonstration of how true power means great responsibility.
Very cool.
Tom is the Executive Producer of the Loki series, after all
Glorious Purpose literally bookends this Series
The only thing I wish we had gotten was a moment where he goes back to his mum for guidance. I understand not bringing Odin back, just because his send off in Thor 3 was so phenomenal, but I feel like they should’ve given him a moment with Frigga, like Thor got in Endgame. I just think that would’ve been really sweet, and a nice surprise. Other than that, I think this finale was excellent.
Well, he will get to see variants of Frigga in all of the timelines, so that's some consolation.
Hearing Achara say "Cuddle Fluff" was well worth watching the recap.👍
Loki is gonna have some fun editing a lot of stories for sure
Oh he has from the beginning. He just didn’t realise in until now. 😉
Loki from Villain became a full on Hero that Marvel never deserved but always needed. Well done 🔥
Loki wasn't pruning those timelines. He was reviving them
I think Renslayer is Niðhöggr who eats the roots of Yggdrasil; In Norse mythology, Níðhöggr (Malice Striker, in Old Norse traditionally also spelled Níðhǫggr [ˈniːðˌhɔɡːz̠], often anglicized Nidhogg[1]) is a dragon who gnaws at a root of the world tree, Yggdrasil. In historical Viking society, níð was a term for a social stigma, implying the loss of honor and the status of a villain
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/N%C3%AD%C3%B0h%C3%B6ggr
Maybe not Renslayer herself, but perhaps a combination of her and Alioth? She was close with He Who Remains, and it's entirely possible Alioth recognizes her. I could see her harnessing its power in a desperate attempt to regain control of the TVA/Timeline.
I love Loki so much.
Easily best ending for any disney MCU shows. top tier!!!
