Thank you very much! Much appreciated as I really needed this tutorial. I have a total blackout of the RPM dial in my 2005 S40 and was wondering what type of LEDs went in there, and how they're fixed in place. I'll revisit this vid to tackle the issue when the weather warms up, but atm sub zero temps and for sure brittle plastics in a 20 y.o. car .. not the right time, but too bad it didn't show up earlier in my feed as TH-cam knows I have a Volvo S40 ☹️
Thank you very much for the detailed video. I didn't think it was something I could do myself, but I just soldered new leds in the Volvo's dash, and now I can see how fast I drive, when it's dark 😉
The speedometer in my Volvo does not light up, but the rev counter does. The fact that one half of the dash lights up and the other doesn't makes me suspicious that there's another fault. Does that seem likely?
