This V50 came to me with the airbag light on, and a warning message on the cluster...
After a quick scan, I decided that was probably not worth to record this, as I had already gone through the same fault on a S40...

But, who knows I might do or say something that will help someone out there, with that in mind, here it is...
The fault in the Airbag module, is the infamous CFFF...

Maybe try UPA instead of xprog. It's reliable. Thanks for your videos
Problem with XprogM software when reading 9S12 is with usb drivers of software. On PC where you will install XprogM software you must take care that you do not install any others software what use this type of usb drivers FTDI drivers. If you do that way, you will not have peoblem with reading and verification. I need a lot of time and trying different PC-s to get this conclusion.
That's why I usually connect it through com port... not usb... but still have the same issue...

Great fix. Is there a fuel guage issue to it was reading half a tank 😂

There's an easy fix for that:
* Open fuel fill door (button on the right-hand side)
* Remove fuel cap.
* Insert fuel nozzle and squeeze until fuel flow cuts out.
* Reinstall fuel cap.
* Close fuel fill door.
* Bill customer for 2 pounds per liter and half an hour of work.

My clone xprog has never been any good with 9S12. Have you tried with the 608? Could even buy a dedicated 9S12 programmer. I'm even toying with the idea of getting a P50 but I don't do that many airbag modules to be fair. It's only approx £500 so it's not out of the way. Anyway, good fix 👍
I have used the 608 for a few similar jobs, not sure if I have ever used it on a 9s12 though...
A dedicated Motorola programmer is definitely the way if you do enough of them...

will be back in 6 months. with the same problem. buy donor - clone data.
I've never had one come back with corrupted data on Volvo or anything else when bad data has been fixed. Once a new battery has been fitted they seem to be ok for me 🤷 Well, except for Fiat but that's hardware fault with the ATIC.
I was just to say the same... this is not my first rodeo, and this particular issue, once sorted and a good battery is kept, never seen an issue again...
