I hope you guys enjoy this one! PLEASE, watch at your own pace lol. If you want to watch it bit by bit and come back, that's okay! Or if you want to watch the whole thing, I appreciate that too! Let me know if you'd like a Part 2 to this & I'll see what I can do!
I found that pictire of the Big Daddy on the Simpsons. I downloaded it to keep in my Bioshock archives. That's very cool, and thanks for letting us know about it Erik!
Awesome video And I forget the name of the artist Someone made a really cool idea for that thought experiment Bob ross go back and time Shows Hitler how to paint better And makes him able to accepted to the art school Preventing The nazis And keep him Alive that's my favorite I'm sad about the underwater enemies. would have been really cool I'm still confused about what songbird is is: Is it a person or animal or a machine or combination? I would like that explained
Ken Levine: "...And Put Some Bird Dying Sound in the background on that part" Dev Lead: "Ok... but why?" Ken Levine: "Someday I will create a game featuring a giant bird, and it will be connected to this one, the bird arrived through some interdimensional portal or something..." Dev Lead: "Mmm.. that's nice, I suppose. May I have some of that weed you are consuming?" Ken Levine: "No, sorry"
you said that the only way for songbird's death cry to be in bioshock 1 is if Ken Levine had the foresight, but they (probably) just used the sound from bioshock 1 for songbird's cry in infinite to give it some continuity. I've heard the sounds played next to each other and it's pretty uncanny.
Hey Erik, after watching your last video talking about the upcoming BioShock film, it made me think... whatever happens in the film no matter how different it may or may not be from the source material, it can still technically be considered canon given the fact it all exists within a multiverse. There's always a lighthouse... 😉😄🤙🏼
@@TheBioshockHubit’s Netflix, it’s either going to be terrible or they’ll cancel it, I’m hoping it gets cancelled so someone can make a tv series about the Fall Of Rapture
Hi! I'm sure others have mentioned this but concerning Suchong's death, in the Burial at Sea DLC you get to watch what led up to the imprinting, I believe. Two little sisters actually save a big daddy using adam which heals/revives him and this is what leads to the bond, its explained as the "thorn in a lions paw" analogy I think! It's also used to show how Elizabeth bonded with songbird, same thing essentially where songbird was dying and she helped it, Suchong's death was actually a result of the big daddy already having imprinted on the sisters and therefore killing him for hurting the little sister. I could be wrong
Great iceberg video, made me really nostalgic! Going down the comments I can't help but get a little sad noone mentioned the Something in the Sea ARG. They really put a lot of effort into that one, with real props from the game showing up all over the world and all the puzzles. If anybody remembers those days solving Mark Melzer's story together on 2K Forums: kind greetings from another pawn!
Hey man no disrespect AT ALL. Youre the only good one doing Bioshock content still and wr appreciate you. Just some things that could help make your videos even better. The iceberg for example it would be really nice to have you say what the entries are. BIG ONE HERE. i know its tough cause i do it. But getting video behind your voice that is relevant to the topic at hand would help a bunch. Other than that awesome man ill be here to watch you!
I feel that since there are infinite universes and infinite multiverses which would mean infinite possibilities, there is at least 1 universe where booker and elizabeth live hapily and booker never becomes comstock, annabelle is alive, and booker has no debt and is running a extremely sucessful business. By extension, it could be possible that every fan theory is correct because infinite universes mean infinite possibilities. (there could even be a universe where booker gets reborn as jack and somehow becomes delta!)
hard for me to usually strap down and watch icebergs in one go but you make it very interesting !!! i appreciate how you throw in your opinions and theories as well, amazing work !!! keep up the amazing content creation
The movie also needs some relatively unknown actors/actresses as main cast members. I'm honestly tired of seeing The Rock, Mark Wahlberg, and all of those types of people in movies. Put nepotism aside and give people who have good acting skills a chance. Not only that, only hire the people who are BioShock fans. Take Henry Cavill for example with his upcoming Warhammer 40k project. If they hire anybody who has to be famous at least have Ryan Gosling play Jack (I just like Ryan Gosling) and let Johnny Depp play Andrew Ryan. Those two just seem like good fits for the characters. I just feel like the directors/producers/writers/actors won't even be fans of the franchise. Video game movies have proven that time and time again for literal decades now. (I have seen that Keanu Reeves might be in the movie which is certainly a good sign).
I love watching iceberg videos, I would love a part 2 if possible. Even after all my years as a Bioshock fan, I still learn new things that blow my mind, like Ken Levine voicing that iceman guy whose name I can't remember, and Delta being the true father to Eleanor pulls my heartstrings, there's actually a deleted audio log that confirms this theory that was cut from the final game. (I don't know why they did that, that would've blown the fans' minds.) Speaking of Eleanor, I have kind of a theory that she might be the main protagonist in the upcoming Bioshock game, it kind of makes sense since her story just ended and left her path wide open. I know other fans have this theory too, only time will tell. (Oh, by the way, whoever came up with the theory that you work with Cloud Chamber, I couldn't help but laugh a lot from this theory. Like seriously, this is hilarious. 🤣🤣🤣)
I have another theory that maybe is an easteregg? But i have not heard other talking about this. In the beginning of Bioshock, Atlas says "Pick up a crowbar or something!" Now, Jack dont pick up a crowbar, but a wrench. Can the "Pick up a crowbar" refers to Half-life games? The guy you play (Gordon?) uses a crowbar as a melee weapon. But maybe this was just a coinsidence?
Great video!! When I finished the series it came off to me like this: The line, "There's always a lighthouse. There's always a man. There's always a city." explains my reasoning. Andrew Ryan and Booker DeWitt are not "the same person" however, it struck me that they are alternate dimensional versions of each other. Similar to the Lutece twins. Jack would be included in this since he is a sort of "clone" of Andrew Ryan. Struck as maybe some sort of metaphor, at the least it's interesting food for thought. Thanks again for making this!
Bioshock never gets old. One of my favourite aspect is the rpg elements with tonics and plasmid. I have had lots of ideas how to make a amazing game even better. I never liked B infinite but i like the "gear" I habe though that what if Bioshock skipped the armourd shell tonic and instead you could find diffrent kind of gear that gave you resistens to damage, and some gear was resistent to fire or ice and could help you when fighting nitro splicers and ice splicers! but i dont know, just an idea. Yeah, you r right. Yi Suchong, i hated that bastard!
I gotta disagree on Eleanor's true father being Delta, I think that it makes for a stronger story that Eleanor found a father figure in Delta and that their bond is stronger than one bound in blood, Eleanor's bond to Delta being stronger than her ties to Sofia, and that it carries a message that you can find family even if you aren't blood related. That audio log being cut is what makes the final conflict so powerful to me, that Eleanor sides with her Big Daddy father figure over her own biological mother and that their bond is stronger than Sofia's control over her.
@@TheBioshockHub I think the fact that it was cut means they decided at a later point that they didn't want that to be part of the story. If it was canon, why cut it at all?
I don't wanna come across as mean but maybe you should consider switching up the music a bit. The sad piano lullaby throughout the WHOLE THING made it really hard to stay focussed and since the video itself was irrelevant to the audio it was hard to keep track of when you were changing topics or talking about something in Bioshock Infinite when you were just talking about something in Bioshock 1. The video script is written really well but the music was driving me insane by 20minutes of it
I’ll genuinely always have a deep hatred of bioshock infinite, it’s the American horror story equivalent of a bioshock attempt. About 9 games worth of cut content, completely misleading trailers (all of them even the launch trailers), enemies aren’t memorable, gunplay wasn’t nearly as good as it should have been. It falls short in every category and nothing about it has that bioshock vibe. I genuinely dont understand why bioshock 2 gets more hate than that shlock.
