How to remove the Land Rover Defender battery box / under seat toolbox

Corrosion attacks everything steel on a Defender. Worse still the steel helps aluminium corrode if it is in contact with it.
With the seat box out it is easy to remove the steel seat box storage and battery tray underneath the seats. Once removed the steel sections can either be replaced repaired and or painted. Easy to do, only a few rivets to drill out..

So just to confirm - One can't simply remove and replace the battery box? The entire seat box has to be removed?
