Let me try to co-relate and summarise:
1. Going through interview process is like discussions that happen between families and potential couples going into "arranged marriage"
2. Going through salary negotiations is like proposing a person that one loves, after "arranged marriage" is confirmed, with a fear and hesitation of getting rejected
😅😅
Thanks so much for the information, Sonal! Money loves me!
Glad it’s helpful! Thank you for watching

Hi Sonal, are you based in the UK 🇬🇧?
Money loves me! I made couple of those mistakes in my 20 years repeatedly. I wasn't negotiating at all due to fear of rejection or gave up at first place when the recruiter said they can't offer what I asked for even it was fairly reasonable ask which I later realized. Thanks for helping to break that fear.
Money loves me

One more great video. Thank you very much for bringing this one out!
It happened with me once where I was trying to negotiate the offer explaining to them why I deserve higher pay and what benefits can I bring to the table, based on my education & experience. It turned out that they were pretty rigid, didn’t value my worth, and to the contrary, termed me as a money-minded person!
I initially felt that I lost a good offer, which it was, but then felt blessed that it’s good it didn’t work out. Maybe it might have brought the stress out of me instead of the best out of me! 😮💨
I think you dodged a bullet!! Thanks for watching
@@SuperChargeYourself Sonal, first of all thank you so much for your power packed content.
I had a similar experience. I'm a software professional and got an offer from a good product company. I put forward my expectations both in terms of CTC and the work that I'm interested in and how my skill set would be helping the organization and for the business. Still HR was very rigid on a certain number (CTC). But I conveyed firmly that I'm a deserving candidate. Later, after a couple of days the HR came himself and told they don't want to lose me and negotiated again on CTC. This negotiation happened for more than 5 or 6 times again and again and the HR brought it to a level of bargaining. I felt so bad and conveyed them that I'm not comfortable to proceed further. And the HR from such a renowned MNC was blackmailing me that he would blacklist me and I wouldn't be able to join them at any point of time in my career. I felt really bad. Though it was my dream company and job, I had to lose that opportunity because of poor negotiation happening again and again. I also regret if I should have taken the offer even if it was very less for my experience and prevailing market standards. Could you pls advise me anything on this so that I can be prepared next time. Also, pls tell me if what I did is right with this employer(HR)?
Money loves me..... we love each other. ☺. Thank you.
Money loves me ❤
Thanks for such great content!
Glad it’s helpful! Thanks for watching!
Money loves me. Thank you so much for your invaluable advice. I'm currently waiting for an official offer which is not in writing yet . I was verbally quoted below the minimum of my expectations which was required for my application to be considered. I wasn't going to negotiate , after reviewing several sites i.e. Glassdoor, payScale and your videos I will definitely negotiate now. Fingers crossed 🤞.
How did it go Paula?
Money loves me. Thanks for the helpful guidance

Money loves me (or will, once it gets to know me 😉). Thank you Sonal! I wasn’t sure if it would be appropriate (or rude?) to negotiate the rate or if I should turn down the offer. Your videos really helped to make the decision easier.
I’m glad it’s helpful, thanks for watching!
Hi Madam, i got an offer over email which just mentions we have an approval for x amount as fixed and y amount as variable , do let us know your interest to proceed with the next steps. I responded very positively thanking them for the offer, interview process, how much I am keen to join, mentioned how my skills meet the job description and how am I recognised for the work done at my previous company and also mentioned about how commited I am and aspiration to work long time with the company. I shared my expectation on fixed as a and variable as b. It is 16% more on overal x+y. I did mention we can come to a mutual agreement on acceptable salary. How long should I wait before i follow-up with HR.
Money loves me. I've actually never negotiated my salary. The last time I interviewed was 22 years ago and I was happy with my offer. Now I find myself interviewing and I have been selected as a finalist. I see that salary has a starting #. I want to negotiate and I was able to locate the very transparent salary info for what looks like everyone in the company including the exact title/role I'm going for. I don't want to seem arrogant but I do know where I want my # to land. Your videos have helped me immensely and I'm hoping to get that question along with an offer soon🤞🏾. Thank you for your videos. Money loves me 😁💵
Yes!!! Gooooo Holly! Rooting for you! Keep us posted pleased!
Money loves me😂 thank you so much for the information.
Money loves me! Thanks Sonal 😃
Thank you for watching
Wow! Sonal, looking at how you've maintained yourself, It's hard to say you have completed 22years in ur career
Hi Sonal , Thank you for your tips, Could you please make a vedio on notice period handling.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Money loves me!
Hi Sonal, Can I renegotiate If the initial salary I quoted at the start is less with the position they are offering before the final offer process?
Hello @Sonal Bahl - Career Strategist,
Can you put some light on an offer which is below the last drawn salary.
I had already communicated my last drawn during the first HR round to the HR manager and then went through 3 rounds of interviews with biggies in the organisation. Now they have quoted an offer less than the last drawn stating that they have a budget.
How do I handle such a situation?
Your thoughts are really appreciated.
I could relate so much to the first part “not negotiating for fear of… 1:01 ” and also the part of “diminishing my own worth because of…” 6:03
THANK YOU SO MUCH Career COACH…I took in a lot. This is quite empowering💯
You’re welcome
what is your suggestion on salary structure and employment contract is shared before technical rounds and asked for confirmation before going to technical rounds of Interview, what do you suggest on this... should I negotiate now or should I go with confirmation
Money Loves Me! ♥️
Money loves me 🙌🏾
During the first interview with a recruiter, I asked what the approved salary for the role, she gave the amount and when the recruiter asked if I’m okay with it, of course I said that is acceptable. So after 3 more round of interviews, I was called again by the recruiter to officially offer me the job through a phone call with the amount, I agreed. I’m now waiting for the offer letter to be emailed. I don’t know if I can still negotiate since after doing my research, the salary is lower based on the 10th percentile national average salaries here in the US. What advice can you give me? Thank you.
Oh and it will be my first job here in the US. So, I’m really on the fence with this.
Money LOVES me!!! Thank you for your tips! I am so happy I have run across you! I am transitioning from teaching into a LMS position and I am petrified of shortchanging myself. The research I've done on my position ranges from 70K to 95K how do come up with a number from this wide range??
Talk to lots of people, especially recruiters, build trust, ask! You’ll get there Thanks for watching!
Money loves me.. I affirm this
Money Loves Me!!
