- Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. Today, I'm going to follow up on a video I made recently on the Overlord and First Spinjitzu Master being brothers. In this video, we'll be exploring a possible history between these two characters. Where they came from, how they grew up, and why they are now enemies. A little "storytime" on the channel today. I just like the idea that the spinjitzu master’s real face is just the classic Lego smiley. It’s really poetic and it makes for a very nice nod to Lego’s roots as a toy.
I hope they give the overlord an interesting backstory like this In the next season.
They’ve always left the Overlord’s backstory vague, that he was simply a pure incarnation of darkness. I think it’d be more interesting if in the next season they gave him a more detailed one such as this.

1. I think the Overlord is actually the First Spinjitzu Master himself. Hear me out.
2. The First Spinjiztu Master likely ripped his dark heritage (Oni Side) out of him which led to the birth of the Overlord.
3. Lloyd accepting his Oni Heritage is likely the real way for the Overlord no longer need to exist anymore thus he can truly be destroyed in his final death.
4. Lloyd or his descendants accepting their Oni Heritage is something that needs to be addressed in the future Ninjago Sequels.
I think if Lloyd got his dragon/oni he will be overpowered

The First Spinjitzu Master is Half Oni and Half Dragon, being born of both he becomes the Balance. But in season 9 we can see that the FSM leans towards his Dragon side since he has made a friend in First Born.
Also that he always has a dragon symbol on his Robes. So when he left the First Realm and Defeated the Water Serpent then Created Ninjago.
Then the FSM started to fear his Oni side and tried to reject it and expel it but failed, Creating the Overlord. (The Overlord being the Rejected Oni side of the FSM was supposed to be revealed in Crystallized but was unfortunately cut, but we have enough proof to make it canon with out the reveal.)
The Overlord has the Powers of Oni and Dragon just like his predecessor the FSM, but unlike how the FSM is both but Leans Dragon. The Overlord is both but Leans Heavily Oni.
That also explains why the Power of Darkness and Golden Power seem to be equal. Golden power comes from being Oni and Dragon but when you lean more Dragon, then Darkness when you lean Oni.
So when the FSM temporarily stopped the Overlord Ninjago needed a new darkness to counter all the light, so the FSM first born is Very Heavily Oni (Garmadon) but to counter the more Oni presence the Second born (WU) was born heavily Dragon.
But with Garmadon being the son of the FSM and leaning heavily Oni made him the perfect vessel for the Overlord to posses and return in, Which he does in Ninjago season 2 episode 25.
Plus the Overlord having a Dragon form in season 2 episode 26 as proves my point of part Oni and Dragon.
Then the Overlord being able to weld Golden power with his Darkness powers as the Golden Master in Season 3, it makes sense that it wouldn’t destroy him cause he’s just like the FSM Oni and Dragon.
But let’s also talk about how the Overlord/Crystal King is fully compatible with the Oni Temple… and that his newest form looks very much Oni like. Plus Garmadon said that the only way to defeat an Oni is with another Oni, look at the only two characters capable of hurting the Crystal King. Garmadon and Lloyd and they both have the power of the Oni. They exploit that Oni weakness in the Crystal King.
But let’s go back a bit … so the FSM eventuality died locked away under the sea in his tomb and now the Golden power needs a new host, now with the balance leaning dark with the Overlord slowly returning and with his future vessel Garmadon being Oni. Gramadons son Lloyd became the new chosen one with the ability to eventually become the USM and be able to use the Golden Power to defeat the Overlord and bring balance.
All of this evidence justifies my belief of the Overlord being the rejected side of the FSM (which was supposed to be mentioned In Crystalized but was unfortunately cut) Soo to me it’s canon
This makes kinda all sense, but cannot believe the writers thought so far. At the end its a selling-product show

But one thing i dont get in ur comment is, if garmadon get all the oni energy (the dark energy) because the FSM win over the overlord. Why even would someone need to fill this role (garmadon) i mean the overlord wasnt erased just "locked" his energy was caged but not gone. I guess. And if garmadon really get the leaning to the oni side and the dark energy because of the Balance "system". Then why had the overlord to manipulate him by let the snake bite him. Wouldnt it make more sense that the overlord just awakened with the snake more of the oni side in garmadon
@@kleinezeugs4719since the overlord gets banished into a separate realm every time he’s defeated, Shown in Crystalized. But him being banished to the Dark Island for the overlord is basically the same thing as that dimension, in both Season 2 and Crystalized WU mentions that in both scenarios the overlord can only return when the balance starts to fall and a lot of chaos happens and the universe needs a new Champion of the dark to start that, since the FSM has oni in him the balance would choose his first born son. But it lies dormant in him for years waiting for the moment where the Overlord possessed the Serpent and bite his hand awaking the dormant oni dark energy. Remember in season 2 the Overlord needed more evil to tip the balance so he could return and he knew having Garmadon would be the perfect tool to tip the balance in the Overlords favor. So the overlord can be finally freed

Consider Overlord to be a Dragon back then. Misako said that at the end of season 2.
According to Tommy Anderson's theory, the Overlord is the Oni side of the first Spinjichu Master. But in my opinion, the big difference between him and Mistaka and Garamdon (at the current point in time), is that they use the oni's cruelty and lust as a weapon of war, and not as a goal to be worshipped, unlike the Overlord, who calls himself that because he wants to see the lust and cruelty as a goal in itself, he is considered Totally evil because of that.
I personally think that the master was sent to ninjago by accident. Because if this theory is correct, (which I really do hope it is) then why would he flee to a land of turmoil and chaos when he left the first realm because of the chaos and fighting that was happening. So maybe, When he was fighting the overlord, He was so stressed with the weight of this world on his shoulders, and the fighting, and everything that he exploded with his own energy and was accidentaly transported to ninjago, a place of chaos.(kind of like how Wu accidentally sent Garmadon to the underworld and burned the crap out of him) Just like his feelings. Except this time he became calm and dealt with the problem instead of running away! There he created the ninjago in his mind. Calm, and peaceful. Anyway I absolutly love your theory and hope something like it actually happens in ninjago.

This would be the best origin story & would be awesome if it was in the Ninjago seasons.
If this is true, The Overlord and The Master are exact replicas of Wu and Garmadon. Where one is always against the other. But wouldn't that mean that it is possible that Lloyd has a sibling?

What I like is that you explain how the Dark Lord established the stone army with the power of creation and that the first master of spinjitsu used the power of destruction to separate the continent. This gives the power of the oni a deeper meaning than just beeing the pure evil.
This theory makes alot of sense.
If each generation is going to have a good and evil, then I hope we see something we’re one side feels like this is their prepose and nothing more to just make sure the balance is still there, or for the evil side to not want to be the villain and so tries to swap powers with their counterpart.

Tbh this still could work evan when we know his goal was peace . His life was shaped by war and conflict between oni and dragon and this created his desire for peace , but i think that the theory that over worked with oni and master with dragons makes sense i think that it would make sense if it turns out they cocreated ninjago . Both combine creation and destruction but one is light the other is shadow . After ninjago was created they would have propably fall into conflict thus the ancient war .

Here me out might be stupid but i think the spm created the great devourer cuz in s3 it is seen that the fsm created the serpentine too and the fsm might have known that garmadon would have been corrupted by the overlord's plan and that could have been him making wu more of the dragon side and garmadon oni side.
If that’s true than Lloyd has a lost sibling somewhere
in the new season the overlord is the crystal king with an oni mask so it makes sense
It is pretty good theory, I liked it. Little spoiler from season 16, I watched 2nd trailer and Lloyd will have same powers as Garmadon in season 8, or alike. So Lloyd doesn't need lost sister 😆😁

Lloyd's opposite is the Overlord just how FSM's also was the Overlord because both Lloyd and FSM hold the power of light or energy while the overlord holds the power of darkness
Well, I would agree with you, if we didn’t already have another example of the idea, “there must be two.” We have the First Spinjitzu Master and the Overlord, but the we also have Wu and Garmadon. One to represent light, while the other represents darkness. Lloyd is next in line, but he doesn’t have a singular, opposite, opposing force like TFSM and Wu. He’s had to face a lot of villains, but no ultimate evil that was centered only around him.
But I like where your thinking’s at… I’ll have to ponder this a little bit more
@ZT-Unseen Bruh, Literally the prophecy of the green ninja was created as the spinning image of FSM they both have the same powers and abilities, therefore if the overlord is the FSM's opposite then he is also Lloyd's however, if Lloyd is to win the battle in the end of Ninjago and break the balance it is because he has something the FSM didn't have, a team of elemental masters and skilled warriors
@ZT-Unseen Also, just because he has many villians does NOT mean they are not his opposites. WU had faced many foes in the past as we have learned. Krux and Acronix are not the opposite of Wu and Garmadon, nor are the serpentine (both asphera and the first serpentine war) and , chen/Klaus, or any other threat they have faced in the past. Same goes for the FSM, the Oni nor the Dragons are his opposites yet he had to deal with them for many years. Wojira is not his opposite, yet it was his first villian. Just saying. We can both have our opinions but I don't agree with you

Makes sense as (what's the dudes name) the first spinjitsu master is dragon who creates and worships peace while overlord is oni but the form of a dragon (he creates the devourere which in tern bites him) making him pure evil makes sense for them to be related as they both get both good and evil kids (wu garmadon the devourer garmadon (returns good) so yeah)

Yeah but it would make sense cause if he knew that garmadon was evil and all then what would the point be in destroying him if he could help him out in taking over Ninjago and then later he would probably destroy garmadon or something
i don't think they're brothers, the overlord was made from the darkness of ninjago not made from oni and dragon's, he's not part oni part dragon. the FSM represents balance while the overlord represents darkness and evil. also mistake would've mentioned they were brothers and that the overlord was part oni part dragon in the tale of oni and dragons. the overlord may have a dark fog like the oni, but the effects are very different, the overlord's fog brings out the darkness and evil in people, the oni's fogs petrifies people and things, also the first realm dragons have wings on their back, the overlord's wings are apart of his arms also the overlord dragon looks vastly different from both oni and dragons. the overlord may have created the stone warriors but that doesn't mean he has the power of creation, being able to create things and the power of creation are very different. also if the overlord was part oni part dragon, he would've been defeated in a similar way to garmadon or the oni or even have similar weaknesses to dragons like vengestone, but he was defeated by lloyd or zanes heart exploding. he prbably knows about garmadon and was expecting him because he probably corrupted the great devourer who then bit garmadon, giving him the overlords corruption. also if the over lord was the FSM's brother and/or part oni part dragon, he wouldn't pick a side, he would probably use both powers to their full extent, and the overlords power is very different to the FSM's, he even needs the golden armor/weapons to have the golden power, if he was the first spinjitsu masters brother and part oni part dragon he would have automatically had this power, yes i know he was in a weakened state but he still would have had them. also the analogy that the overlord is destruction using creation and the FSM is creation using destruction is flawed because the overlord is darkness and created things, he doesn't have the power of creation, and the FSM, again, represents balance and uses both powers, and when he splits ninjago he isn't necessarily using either power. finally the FSM and the overlord take on very different forms, and the overlord isn't shapeshifting, he's just entering different states, also in the legend of the FSM and the overlord when we see the overlord being made, and in the rest of the legend, he takes a form that is vastly different from both oni and dragons. so yeah, the overlord and the first spinjitsu master are not brothers.
True the overlord was created from darkest Lloyd's mom said even when there's light there is also shadows in the darkest of shadows he is called THE OVERLOAD in the next scene you see the FSM just met it that's where the first war began as was at a standstill for thousands of years

And that was a big mistake because Harumi heard that and she wanted the person responsibly with the attack with the great deavourer to pay lol.

To be honest, I had an idea on how that could work, but I decided to cut it from my final draft of this video. It’s kinda weird, and I’m still looking for evidence to support it.

@@ZT-Unseen can I use this story for a fanfic I’m writing (I may not upload it tho so I don’t even know why I’m asking) I just finished Ninjago Crystalized (if you saw it, what did you think? But if you hadn’t then don’t read this till you have cause a spoiler comes up) and I got an idea from an old concept from Hands of Time. Originally the Ninja were gonna end up in the future instead of the past and have to fight the Time Twins alongside their children (yes you heard me right), basically my story (if I upload it) will be a Next Generation series where my oc who I’m still trying to name (if you have ideas let me know please, it may help) will be the main villain as well as the “son” of the Overlord (basically the Overlord before his first defeat created this “son” and gave him some of his power then put him to sleep and made it so he will only wake up if the Overlord is destroyed permanently so even if he was defeated his legacy would continue)
