Another trend is giving Cole development before returning him to a static character. Season 3-4: fighting over Nya, but letting Jay be with her Season 5-7: turns into a ghost, kinda forgotten in season 6 except for a few jokes before becoming human again, and relearning to control his body. Season 8-9: gives up cake, only to go back to it Season 10: his fall, but makes it back. Like the only thing about being a ghost is that he still has the ghost scar. But I wish he could have retained his abilities and go back and forth, although that is overpowered.
I saw someone theorize that maybe Zane sacrifices himself a lot because he feels he’s not as valuable or something, because he’s a -robot- nindroid and can be rebuilt. But now his tragedies are more of a meme within the community/fandom, now.

Misako doesn't do spinjitzu, Zane never uses half of his robotic abilities (falcon vision, explosive shurikens, etc.) Also, the creators forgot about Airjitzu, Elemental Dragons, and True Potentials. I would include the Tornado of Creation because it took them more than 5 seasons to finally use it again.

-You are right the Overlord and the First Spinjitsu master fought a battle which never finished until the First Spinjitsu Master divided ninjago in two ( ninjago city and the dark island) - The Great Devourer is the reason Garmadon became evil which left him with some carma, the reason why the serpentine and vermillion exist and the reason the serpentine decided to go underground ( in rebooted) However there's the Omega who also had a history with the First Spinjitsu Master because the Omega wanted to use the First Spinjitsu Master to destroy everything leading to the FSM to flee the first realm

The question is what will happen to Nya that is now merged with the ocean being a powerful being, will she be ruled out for OP-ness or will she brought back under "sacrifices do not exist" rule?
Plot Twist. The reason why Garmadon want to sacrifice himself is not only to stop the serpentine war is because Wu made him feel that he was unwelcomed or unsafe/loved. He got mad at him and told him that you're no Sensei, and you've never been one! The only one who tried to stop garmadon from leaving was Lloyd. Misako and Wu didn't even stop him. That is how messed up Ninjago is.
Ninjago keeps on bullying Zane, Lloyd and Jay Lloyd gets traumatized every season Zane gets Hacked, Destroyed or shut down every season Jay keeps on getting beat up or gets insulted
This basically summarizes my reasons for not liking most of mid- to modern-“Ninjago”. Thank you for voicing your thoughts on this. :) I pretty much agree with all of your choices - especially regarding characters returning after death. I wish the cartoon would actually let them stay dead; it makes more of an impact and establishes the importance they played into a more spiritual orientation. Now the cartoon has done it so many times it’s become forced. The only post-death revivals I did tolerate without problems were Dr. Julien (before he died again, that is, plus he played a part in the Ninja reaching the Dark Island) and Nya (as it was in an eraser timeline (the only part of that last wish I did like) and it was part of the main dynamic for that season).
I agree with all of these! Don't the writers understand the phrase if it ain't broke don't fix it? I get it, they want to try new things. But sometimes if something works you gotta keep doing it until no one likes it anymore. The writers are great people but it just seems they never learn this.
There was one exception to the vehichles disappearing , when in season 5 the ninja got their old mech back from earlier seasons while climbing the mountain.
Not going to lie when it comes to the deaths of the ninja, it is kinda obvious they are going to come back but most of the things in the show make it so it's still pretty sad- but none the less all of this is true, despite the show being great, all of this is pretty relative.

don’t forget a good plot. we don’t want to have a season with all of this but the plot is “friendship can triumph all evil and nothing can stop it because this is my ninjago pony”
The deepstone armour suits (season 5) apparently protect the ninjas from being possessed by the ghosts. Kai was once shot by the soul archer at the hanging temple, when they were trying to accuire the sword of sanctuary, but he didn't turn into a ghost because of the armour.
For them getting their powers stolen and given back, it actually starts in season 2, when they lose the golden weapons, their powers fade then they get it back at the temple of light through their elemental blades, then season 3, most of Lloyds golden power gets stolen which forces the ninjas elemental power to fade again, they regain it when Lloyd sacrifices the rest of his golden power for them, in season 4, Chen steals all of the elemental masters powers which later gets smashed and goes back to them, Morro then possesses Lloyd in season 5, weakening his power along with the ninjas and when he gets out of his body the ninjas power slowly returns, season 6 they didnt but Nadakhan trapped them anyways. In season 7 they didnt as well, the oni trilogy didnt have them lose it either. Season 11, Kais fire is stolen by Aspheera and regained in the never realm because of his determination and love for his friends. Season 12 had them in prime empire in which they had to unlock their powers with points (dont know if this counts) and finally season 13, the skull sorceror imprisons them in bench stone which nullifies elemental power

one thing that i'm a little surprised wasn't mentioned is how often they have to "go find a thing". 4 golden weapons, the 4 fangblades, (zane lol), the realm crystal, the tiger widow venom, the 4 time blades, the dragon armor, the golden armor, etc etc. i probably forgot a lot of them but seriously what's up with that?

It seems like every single season is about the villains wanting revenge. I wish they would do something different like legitimately give the villain a good reason for doing what he or she does and have the ninja figure out if the villain is justified in his or her actions

He got rid of it by giving the ninja new elemental powers. 8:25 Nadakhan attacked Ninjago City with his pirates and destroyed it to make his new Djinjago.
It's been said in season 5 that Wu bought their possession suits. But I wouldn't care how they get the suits rather being thankful that they sorta match the season. If fact they get their mechs from the seasons before season 5 in season 5. Point is, I'm fine with how Ninjago is, whether I'm in it for the sets or in it for the show.

Spy Jon Sachurin Cole doesn’t have the ghost scar anymore. There is a glowing area where it would be when he activated his RX earth punch thing.
I don’t think they put the lava glow on his head for fun. I think it’s their way of “keeping” his scar without actually having to animate it.

-You are right the Overlord and the First Spinjitsu master fought a battle which never finished until the First Spinjitsu Master divided ninjago in two ( ninjago city and the dark island)
- The Great Devourer is the reason Garmadon became evil which left him with some carma, the reason why the serpentine and vermillion exist and the reason the serpentine decided to go underground ( in rebooted)
However there's the Omega who also had a history with the First Spinjitsu Master because the Omega wanted to use the First Spinjitsu Master to destroy everything leading to the FSM to flee the first realm

Lloyd Garmadon I do too bro before Season 8, cause I loved their old designs so much and the ninja were a lot powerful back then when they used Airjitzu, Spinjitzu a lot, Tornado of Creation, summoning their elemental dragons I mean they are seriously nerfed nowadays

tornado of creation was ditched in season 2, then briefly brought back for season 10. I think it’s because these were the instances they had their golden weapons, and that’s why they were able to do it?

Plot Twist. The reason why Garmadon want to sacrifice himself is not only to stop the serpentine war is because Wu made him feel that he was unwelcomed or unsafe/loved. He got mad at him and told him that you're no Sensei, and you've never been one! The only one who tried to stop garmadon from leaving was Lloyd. Misako and Wu didn't even stop him. That is how messed up Ninjago is.

Ninjago keeps on bullying Zane, Lloyd and Jay

This basically summarizes my reasons for not liking most of mid- to modern-“Ninjago”. Thank you for voicing your thoughts on this. :) I pretty much agree with all of your choices - especially regarding characters returning after death.
I wish the cartoon would actually let them stay dead; it makes more of an impact and establishes the importance they played into a more spiritual orientation. Now the cartoon has done it so many times it’s become forced. The only post-death revivals I did tolerate without problems were Dr. Julien (before he died again, that is, plus he played a part in the Ninja reaching the Dark Island) and Nya (as it was in an eraser timeline (the only part of that last wish I did like) and it was part of the main dynamic for that season).

I agree with all of these! Don't the writers understand the phrase if it ain't broke don't fix it? I get it, they want to try new things. But sometimes if something works you gotta keep doing it until no one likes it anymore. The writers are great people but it just seems they never learn this.
There was one exception to the vehichles disappearing , when in season 5 the ninja got their old mech back from earlier seasons while climbing the mountain.
There are to many sneaks to keep count on like pythor and the aspara and finally the vimilen army

Not going to lie when it comes to the deaths of the ninja, it is kinda obvious they are going to come back but most of the things in the show make it so it's still pretty sad- but none the less all of this is true, despite the show being great, all of this is pretty relative.

don’t forget a good plot. we don’t want to have a season with all of this but the plot is “friendship can triumph all evil and nothing can stop it because this is my ninjago pony”
The deepstone armour suits (season 5) apparently protect the ninjas from being possessed by the ghosts. Kai was once shot by the soul archer at the hanging temple, when they were trying to accuire the sword of sanctuary, but he didn't turn into a ghost because of the armour.
He makes it sound like having serpentine in all season is a bad thing
1 SNAKE'S 2 ZANE 3 POWERS GETTING STOLEN 4 ONI AND 5 LOVE PROBLEMS
For them getting their powers stolen and given back, it actually starts in season 2, when they lose the golden weapons, their powers fade then they get it back at the temple of light through their elemental blades, then season 3, most of Lloyds golden power gets stolen which forces the ninjas elemental power to fade again, they regain it when Lloyd sacrifices the rest of his golden power for them, in season 4, Chen steals all of the elemental masters powers which later gets smashed and goes back to them, Morro then possesses Lloyd in season 5, weakening his power along with the ninjas and when he gets out of his body the ninjas power slowly returns, season 6 they didnt but Nadakhan trapped them anyways. In season 7 they didnt as well, the oni trilogy didnt have them lose it either. Season 11, Kais fire is stolen by Aspheera and regained in the never realm because of his determination and love for his friends. Season 12 had them in prime empire in which they had to unlock their powers with points (dont know if this counts) and finally season 13, the skull sorceror imprisons them in bench stone which nullifies elemental power

one thing that i'm a little surprised wasn't mentioned is how often they have to "go find a thing". 4 golden weapons, the 4 fangblades, (zane lol), the realm crystal, the tiger widow venom, the 4 time blades, the dragon armor, the golden armor, etc etc. i probably forgot a lot of them but seriously what's up with that?
I think season 1 is attacked on ninja go because the devourer wanted to destroy every land dweller but it’s a great vid.

It's been said in season 5 that Wu bought their possession suits. But I wouldn't care how they get the suits rather being thankful that they sorta match the season.
If fact they get their mechs from the seasons before season 5 in season 5.
Point is, I'm fine with how Ninjago is, whether I'm in it for the sets or in it for the show.
