Saved my weekend!! I am leaving the Apple World and switched to Android - I searched the web for this like crazy and all I kept seeing was "have to do it one note at a time to cut and paste." No. Just no. With this technique I can get them into Google Keep my importing all these exported text files to Google Docs and then transfer to Google Keep
This seems to be the second step needed for me. Hoping it works like that. I'd like to get on a Pixel 5. This is my biggest holdup. Samsung Smart Switch has something that can import notes from iphone to Samsung Notes -- but then you are stuck again as Samsung Notes can't be used anywhere except a Samsung phone, at least not Pixel. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Google to try to find a solution to this problem. They don't have it on their raddar.

Until you want to go outside the ecosystem or just get your data. I love Apple and MacOS/iOS but man this is a process. Thank you for the time with doing this
Thank you! For some reason this method is not much known even after 1 year from this video. I googled it thoroughly but couldn't find it anywhere, glad I came across to it now.
Apple doesn’t want people leaving their ecosystem. Some say they might be hiding this on purpose
Here are a few observations about this method:
- LOCKED NOTES: you should not download locked notes, because there is not a proper way for opening them afterwards!!!
- FORMATTING: you will lose all formatting, including headings, lists, checklists, etc.
- ATTACHMENTS: drawings are not stored at all, pictures are stored separately, scanned documents are stored as uncropped jpg files (not as pdfs)
- VERY LONG NOTES: this may be a bug or something, but it just did not downloaded one very long note to me (30 000+ words)
Otherwise it is still the best way of downloading all notes at once, I used it several times already, so thanks a lot!
Apple support doesn't know about this method! They sent me to search the web and thanks god I found this video!

OMG thanks for this! I had the issue of my notes randomly disappearing. Never heard of it before but apparently it IS a thing. They were already gone in the gmail notes. Thankfully they were mostly there on another device only missing 2 months and then I found those 2 months elsewhere. I managed to get the entire set back into the cloud and used this to download the backup of them.
Could you please make an updated video? I can't find the "Data & Privacy" section. The site looks quite different in 2022.
These are the steps I followed in my IPad -2022:
1) Sign in in Apple website provided by guy in video
2) Below your picture & name you have 6 options- Choose the last option PRIVACY
3) Then select YOUR DATA
4) Then click on MANAGE MY DATA
5) Will ask you to SIGN IN again
6) Finally choose GET a COPY of YOUR DATA

Wow thanks for making this video! Its funny that you mentioned probably only need 1G of storage. Mine is already eating up almost 75G of space on my phone! Lol so this would be a huge win for helping me archive the older notes and clear up space on my phone again.

I take photos to document events in the iphone notes. I noticed they show up in iphone "notes " and "photos" folders. is there anyway to get them to just be in the "notes" folder where I have put the data that matches the photos? I am so happy I can now get a copy of 1 years worth of notes that I can back up someplace else .. thank you!

Above someone writes to import to Google Docs and then transfer to Google Keep. Haven't tried it yet as I don't have the download from Apple yet (they say up to 7 days) and I haven't bought a Pixel yet.

Thank you for sharing. After watching this I decided to keep the notes in Apple Notes. Being as they come out as a text file, there would be too much effort making them back into a document file.
By the way, why do bloggers think it necessary having background music? Please be aware we came to hear and learn from you, not to fight music. Your presentation is excellent and your music choice was pleasant, however during your presentation music is extremely annoying and distracting. Many folks have hearing difficulties, some have language comprehension difficulties thus while you are talking your audience must fight the background noise; yes quickly music becomes noise. Music in the beginning and end is okay, when you are talking it is never okay. Notice, TV news reporters, professors, folks giving business presentations, preachers, and the like, when they are talking they never play music. Reason, they want their audience having a full understanding that which is being stated.

I got videos, pictures, video files and emjoies in my note so I wanted to include it when exporting.

I updated my iPhone to 10.13 beta and it seems like a bunch of notes are gone now. since my Mac is connected to my iCloud, those notes also went MIA from my MacBook running Mojave. I have another Mac with my notes on it that I can refrain from updating from iCloud so I can get an old copy from it. Any suggestions?
I requested data (note) from apple. I waited for 2hours till now, I can't get that data... how many hour should I wait for?
I did this, and it told me that it could take up to 7 days for the copying of data to be completed. Did this happen to anyone else? If so, did it actually work in those 7 days?

I download the memo notes files again, but again only a few of them come out of the zip files :(

Great video, however it didn't work in the end. Everything went like clockwork until the final download part. I can get images but no text. For text is says:
Compressed (zipped) folder error.
Windows cannot complete the extraction. The destination file could not be created.
Also, it did not go to downloads folder. It went to: C:\Users\Larry\AppData\Local\Temp\iCloud Notes Part 1 of 2-1.zip
The only download choice it gives me is Windows Explored.
Any tips to help finish this process would be so appreciated. Thank you!

Also let them know that the downloaded zip file is corrupted.

what I don't understand is why they are all still separated in your downloads section. What I was looking for was to make it all exported into a single pdf, because otherwise I could still open them all individually from the notes app itself.
Sofia Popov you can use an app to merge them into one large pdf. I export the notes for archiving and importing into other note apps
