Well, actually my question is: I have about 1400 notes in my Notes app synced to my Icloud. BUT as you know Notes, you can actually easily delete a part of a note or maybe some notes have been deleted which you did not want to delete after all... And ofcourse this error will immediately be synced to Icloud and after all the information will be lost...
As I keep very important information in my notes, I would like to have a manual backup method, not to be performed note per note (imagine for 1400 notes) but for all notes. A kind of TimeMachine but for only the Notes app....
As mentioned by others this isn’t copying to the iCloud it’s moving to iCloud.

It's not a backup on icloud. It's stored in the iCloud, not a secondary copy as a backup. This matters because how you can access it when you are offline (e.g. flying). It would be good to know how to do real backup: the master copy is on the device, and an automated backup copy is on iCloud.

So just to clarify: I've only ever backed up my iPhone data using iTunes. I've been wanting to back up my Notes data on iCloud to use on the iCloud mobile site on my PC. So before I turn on iCloud Notes in my phone settings, I need to turn on "iCloud Backup" first, let the backup finish, and THEN I can turn on "iCloud Notes" ?? ... Is this correct? I just don't want my notes to disappear and have to restore my whole iPhone lol. Thanks you so much! :)

Your video shows you moving from the to iCloud. Is there a way to move to a non-iCloud Notes folder?
Connect to a server on your network and copy the files to that location. I do this with a Samba share on my LAN.

open your cellular data and refresh the notes repeatedly and wait for the notes to return. My notes did the same, they suddenly disappeared but I don't know if it will really work but that's what I did to my notes and it came back, I hope it helps
I have 8,000 notes and they aren't on iCloud....I'm just trying to get these on some kind of external hard drive

I deleted or moved a note to trash/delete from iPhone SE and there is not a recently deleted folder. Any suggestions on if and how I can recover this?
