Correct. All of Carli's systems share the same base parts, so you're able to start with this kit and then end up with a fully optioned pintop if you want to down the road!
Noob to this stuff but gathering Info as I plan to purchase a F250 King Ranch Tremor but a 22 or 23 model when availability gets back to normal and having updated Interior. I love the way 37s look on a 18”. Being that the tremor comes stock with gloss black 18s. Can the stock 35s be replaced with 37s on the oem 18s? Or would it have issues with offset, width, etc? Or do people just want to ride on aftermarket wheels? This build is very much what I’m going for in my truck. The leveling kit on 37s looks so perfect to me,
Should think about changing your test tracks to Michigan roads, mainly around the Metro Detroit area. Nobody truly understands what bad roads are until you come to Michigan lol
Some constructive criticism: it's a video, so just telling us what the truck used to do vs. what it does now is a little bit of a letdown. Filming it inside and out in the same areas before and after would be really helpful for those of us considering upgrading our Tremors. Other than that it's great, thanks for the info!
Do these kits work on the 7.3 motor? I lifted my old 6.2 super duty and the front driveshaft is about 1/8 inch from the exhaust. No such issue on the 6.7. Great videos, as usual.
It seems like on one of your older videos you were running 38s...what "drives" you decision to use 37s on this buiild? Thanks for the video, just bought a 2021 Tremor and looking for informed tips and recommendations!
Good looking truck! Is there a difference in the 2.5 and 3.5 kits? If I wanted to do 35s with not as much front end lift as the 3.5, would the 2.5 work on a 2022 super duty?
17+ trucks all use the same Carli coil part number. 17-20 and 20+ Tremors are a 2.5” height increase from factory. Normal 20+ Super Duty trucks get 3.5” of height increase since Ford actually lowered those trucks. In the end though all the 17+ trucks end up at the same final height!
What are the costs for a suspension system for F350 2022 Tremor? I definitely am interested in the Carli suspension after seeing your videos. My truck arrives mid September.
I'm curious how much of a difference in ride quality was due to the aftermarket tire/wheel combo vs the actual suspension upgrades. Any chance for some ride quality knowledge on keeping the existing tremor wheel/tire combo with suspension upgrade only here?
It's a two part deal. Is a plain steak good? Yeah! is good steak sauce tasty alone? Yes. Put the two together and you have magic! You're only getting half the improvement with one or the other.
Is there anywhere I can get all the part numbers you used on this build? I love how it turned out and would like a breakdown of the parts needed to recreate.
So does the commuter system with the fox shocks offer an even better ride? The price difference is only 180$ by the time you add the track bar to this setup.
Wish ford made the tremor in a supercab package. Have no need for a crewcab. A lot of people need the crewcab yes, but offer the tremor to others in a supercab. If I ever get a superduty I will get a carli suspension.
it makes zero sense why it's not offered on all trims, since its just an option package. BUT I get why they don't since super crew sales dwarf all other sales.
Love the build. I have noticed in a big way the suspension is not at all that forgiving in my stock 350 Tremor. Since I am not sure a one time purchase is gonna fly by the misses (everything I want is +/- 8k on your site), is it possible to purchase and install in stages or would that cause issues? Would it be better to order in stages and wait until I get it all? Its been nearly 30 years since I decided the suspension on one of my vehicles needed to be upgraded and I am completely out of the upgrade loop. Its just I find myself camping further out and need more off-road capability and for my teeth to stay in my head with all the bouncing.
Just purchased my 2022 f250 lariat, can you please send me the link so I can get it ordered? Bty I looked at the top comments and didn’t see any link except for a tremor and I got the normal f250 which I need the 3.5 inches suspensions , thanks in advance!
Another great video from CJC Off Road. Looking at Carli Leveling or Commuter kit for my 2021 F350 7.3 Tremor. (The stock ride is almost unbearable at times. Any recommendations on how to improve this while waiting on Carli install would be much appreciated.) Is there any height difference between the two? I'm limited to 7'2" at work garage currently. I'm looking at other parking options as the current 7' height of the stock Tremor is scary under concrete supports due to some of the angles. Front antenna hits every time! Any Installer recommendations for the East Texas area? Can't wait to see the progress on your build!
The biggest way to improve ride without suspension changes is dropping tire pressure and up-sizing tires! As for height, if your truck is already that close then it definitely won’t fit with larger tires and a level! As for install, reach out to Woodlands Performance. They’re the go to shop in Texas!
You speak of "slight trimming" for wheel fitment. I just bought a 21 F350 blacked out Lariat trim level truck. Has 8' bed. Same color as this Tremor. This suspension and wheel set up is awesome! What exactly has to be trimmed. I have the factory installed mud flaps on this as well. Thanks for any information!
I am thinking the Tremor package isn’t worth the money. By the time you upgrade the suspension and change the wheels what’s left? A torsen front diff that doesn’t seem to work very well (from videos I’ve seen)? I guess the bumper and some electronics but hardly seems worth it upon further examination. Amazing looking trucks though.
The Torsen in the Dana 60 front differential works great....people just need to know how to use it. Lockers are great in several situations. However, there are several forums with numerous threads and countless comments showing lots of guys prefer traction devices other than lockers. There certainly are some advantages to having the Detroit TrueTrac or Torsen traction devices. 1. Ford Tremor - Torsen Demonstration - Part 1 th-cam.com/video/jWbTFAPJuds/w-d-xo.html 2. Ford Tremor - Torsen Demonstration - Part 2 NOTE: the video below (Part 2) shows how to activate the Torsen by applying pressure to the brake.....and the accelerator th-cam.com/video/cxemcOj79HU/w-d-xo.html 3. Ford Tremor Diagonal Test - NO Need for Locker or 4WD (Something the Power Wagon CANNOT do) th-cam.com/video/I5dHb-INkRg/w-d-xo.html
The tremor is a great package. It is not just looks. The suspension is ok.. Could be much better. Wish ford used some fox live valve shocks and resivors in the back though. The electronics is where the truck shines. There are plenty of videos of this truck offroading with ease. I would love one in a supercab, and would not hesitate to upgrade to a carli suspension
Since you highly recommend the track bar and matching rear shocks - wouldn’t it just make sense to get the backcountry system? For an extra $750 you have the same set up but with the reservoir shocks. Would there be much difference in the ride with your set up vs backcountry? I’m torn between these two options
it should be a 0" offset if you look at the innov8 specs on their website. Also, it looks like the tires stick out just a bit. hard to see with rhe camera angle. I'd like to know how much the stick out as I have flares, is there rubbing, any cutting? I assume they trimmed according to their tech video on the subject.
So how much did the rear shock upgrade help the ride. I have an F350 and want to maintain tow capacity but improve the ride. Also, are the Carli front coil springs compatible with the 2.5 fox or king pin tops?
You are asking a VERY GOOD question that several people would like an answer too.....better yet, a video comparison.....showing two F250 trucks or two F350 SRW trucks.....one with the OEM factory rear springs and one with the Deaver rear springs from Carli. Both trucks having the Fox 2.0 or the King 2.5. The real question is -------> How close would the Carli suspension with the optional Deaver rear leaf springs AND rear air bags restore the original OEM factory GVWR / GCWR numbers??? One problem here is.....the truck in the video has a Level System. Carli only offers "Long Travel" air bags for trucks with the 4.5 inch lifts (5.5 inch on 2020+ Super Duty trucks). However, Hellwig offers a variety of choice from 0 - 4 inches of lift. I could be wrong, but I think the Carli front coil springs are the same regardless of shock choice. But.....the front coil springs differ for the diesel engine and gas engine trucks. Shock Upgrade help the ride? There is an old video somewhere on TH-cam showing a Ford Super Duty go over a dip or a Railroad Track hump both BEFORE and AFTER the Carli suspension upgrade with King shocks. It is night and day difference. I could still see a noticeable difference in the Bilstein shocks in this video. But, both the Fox 2.0 and King 2.5 would provide a considerably better ride. In addition, there is another old video showing Sage Carli's red Crew Cab Ford off-road in the desert traveling at a relatively high speed going over random bumps (almost like parking lot speed bumps).....shows the front suspension with the King shocks (2.5 or 3.0) traveling at warp speed while the cab moves very little in comparison. The video really depicts the quality of the Carli suspension. Carli should film some similar updated videos with the newer trucks. VERY IMPORTANT: Regarding the air bags. Probably best to consider alternative mounting of the lower base (cup) than as per the instructions. Alternative Mounting --------> Welded instead of Bolted. There is a TH-cam video showing this. Look up Big Boy Toyz. Jason has several videos of his F250....the traction device in the Ford Tremor...and the video on rear air bags.
It’s important to understand the relationship between springs and shocks to answer this. Springs are basically what determines how “stiff” something feels, and shocks damp or control the movement of those springs. With a rear shock upgrade the truck feels more composed and less “bouncy” but is still just as stiff since the high factory spring rate was retained. basically that high spring rate is just better controlled with nicer shocks. Carli also uses the same base parts on all their systems. That means the coils, caster shims, track bar etc in this base system are identical to the ones used with the full loaded King systems. The beauty of that is it allows for easy customer upgrades down the road.
@@15Jeep Carli offers 3 rear spring options for the Super Duty trucks. You can retain your factory rear springs, which keeps factory payload, towing and ride quality. They also offer the add a pack, which is designed to retain factory payload and towing while improving the off the top sensitivity of the rear end of the truck. The final option is the full replacement leaf pack, which trades a reduction to 85% of factory payload for a dramatic improvement in ride quality both on and off road. The full pack is able to absorb small and large bumps like nothing. If you need to supplement the capacity of those full springs you can either use the Carli LT bags (4.5” system) or use a Firestone/daystar cradle setup we sell on the 2.5” systems. Both options retain as much ride quality as possible, and maintain full suspension travel.
@@CJCOffRoad I was aware of the 3 Carli spring options and long travel air bags for the 4.5" lift. I know Hellwig makes air bags for 0" - 4" lifts. I have had Firestone air bags on previous Super Duty trucks. However, I was not aware of the Firestone and Daystar air bag options with lifts. Changing World....lots of new products all the time. Thanks for the additional information.
great truck. On the fence about which kit to get. Is the truck actually level though? It appears to be about an inch higher ion the rear. If so, is this unique to the Tremor package or is this just how the kit sits?
Ford has a ton of variance in rear block height depending on the truck and the exact packages you get. This kit sits about .5" rear high which is perfect to us. If you find that yours doesn't sit where you'd like, just alter the rear block height!
@@CJCOffRoad ok great. I figured it was something like that. I’m going to order a kit soon. Me and my coworker both ordered new platinums. I told my coworker about you guys and he bought his a few weeks ago and already got his. I get my truck in a week so I’m right behind him. Thanks for the help!
Ford just kills it with the sport package on the super duty. Awesome looking build keep the great videos coming. Any reason you don’t offer anything for the f150??
in 7 days we get the B&P for the 21 F150 Tremor, which should help fill the gap on buyers who want a off road truck without the price tag, or excessive size of a Raptor.
Torn between this and the 2.5 commuter ford my tremor Will you be adding that kit on this truck anytime soon? What would yield the better ride quality/control
Both are fantastic setups, but the Commuter does offer a little more control and damping. They feel extremely similar around town, but the Commuter is smoother and more planted on a large impact. We have no plans for airbags though! Those ruin travel, articulation, and make the ride even stiffer than the factory F-350 rear springs on the Tremors already are!
So I would like you to put together a video showing you going over the same roads with both suspensions. I would also like to know estimated cost of this upgrade. I also see a lot of questions on this video but no answers.
quick B&P on CJC, leveling kit with matching rear shocks, endlinks and trackbar is $1970.00. I own a 2020 F350 6.7 Tremor and can say just between the 2 clips, even on different roads I can see the difference. I haven't placed my order for this exact setup, BUT I know other non Tremor owners who have it and love the leveling system.
It’s hard for us to film with customer trucks to have a side by side (most want their truck back to go home) but we did our best to show the difference in this video with a rental truck: th-cam.com/video/PwrD2F1J240/w-d-xo.html
So towing...like you said its not supposed to match a powerwagon.....so making it a "softer" suspension what did you do to ultimately to the towing and payload capacity?
The whole goal of these systems is just to improve ride and suspension travel. Normally a level kit is just done for looks, but with these systems the lift is more a byproduct of increasing upward suspension travel from ride height.
Dude, every choice on this truck, perfect. I own a lowly 150 Platinum, anyone in that market you'd recommend for a similar product in terms of ride composure, lift, and product quality?
are you looking for just wheel travel or a lift for ground clearance? are you looking to lift the truck just to put bigger tires on? your question is a rabbit hole scenario lol.
@@c.h.9827 I'd be looking to slightly lift the truck but keep towing capacity. Maybe 34s with the ridge grappler/fuel rim combo or some raptor takeoffs . I'm not a fan of huge lifts so I guess just enough to avoid any rubbing up front and still let me tow and off road a little! The factory setup is just very reactive and jarring. Settles down when you get some weight in the truck, but I really like the idea of less body roll and more stability over the rough stuff at speed. Kinda what attracted me to Carli's prerunner type setups vs stuff with more articulation.
@@Ninjump I had a 13 Ecoboost F150 up until 16. I ran a fox 2.5 front coil over with 2.5 shocks out back and kept my towing capacity. I was able to lift the front up to run a 35 BFG inch tire on method wheels and had little rubbing (theirs is 34.9 inches to be exact). I think what I ran would work perfectly for what you're trying to accomplish.
@@c.h.9827 I really, really appreciate you taking the time to respond. That sounds awesome and gives me a road map of what to look for! If I get it done I'll try and write back here how it turns out
What would you estimate the tremor suspension ( front springs, shocks Aswell as rear springs and shocks) plus wheels and tires to bring on the used market?
I'm looking to get the Ram CCLB, hemi 6.4 though. Want to float like a cloud. I guess I'll have to throw a package together and have it get shipped to TX
@@15Jeep no, dude you are incorrect. All the 2500 are rear coil, and the 3500 are leafs. Also after owning a wagon, the only perk of the gas motor is less weight on the front axle when you are jumping it.
@@Rommer2258 Yeah.....you are absolutely correct. I had no idea all Dodge 2500 trucks had rear coil suspension...and it appears the 2500 trucks have had this setup for a few years. That's quite shocking for these trucks to have basically been removed from the historical Class 2 segment. It's unique for sure.....a truck with heavier drive train than a Class 1, but with nimble suspension.
Will adding the Carli torsion sway bar for my 2021 450 help prevent my 37’s from rubbing on it? I got the 450 in part for the turning radius but now am limited because of the tires rubbing.
Here’s a link to the suspension so you can price it out with the upgrades and options you want. www.cjcoffroad.com/Carli-2017-Ford-Super-Duty-Front-Leveling-Kit-p/cs-flvl-sig-17.htm Roof height is right at the 7 foot mark!

Looking hard at a 2022 Ford F350 Tremor with the diesel engine. Whether I choose the base Carli suspension or the top of the line, how does this affect my warranty on the truck?
How much rake did you maintain after the coils? Just got my '22 Lariat, and am wanting to do the Carli coils up front and the Tremor block in the rear.
@@CJCOffRoad Thanks for the quick reply ! Can you shed any light on what trimming was required to run 37's? Was going to do 35's again but I mean, why not? Haha
The end height of either truck with this system is identical since you’re replacing the factory coils. You can run 37s on either with some trimming, or 35s with no trimming.
Hey man I am getting ready to upgrade to a new truck. I just want a truck that i don't have to do anything to. Is the tremor worth it over the regular f250?
yes, and I say that as a 2020 F350 Tremor owner. the offroad modes alone are worth the price tag, not to mention the other bits you get with it. NOW.. if you can actually find one, good luck lol.
These ones are going to be a slightly more budget friendly choice, but pack almost the same performance. The Key difference is that these shocks do not have different tuning for gas and Diesel engines like the Commuters do. That said Carli does offer separate coils for both engines with either kit.
Wow! You are one patient man. Seeing the same questions over and over again and politely responding. People read all the comments! Your question may have already been answered and in some cases answered a number of times. LOL!!!!

Tire clearance! 37s look great and take almost no trimming. 38s look great too, but you better be okay with a lot of 🔪
I assume that a 35 inch tire and wheel combo would require no trimming?
@@danieljackson8266 Corect, no trimming for 35s!
You responded to another question on mine but we could do plow springs on a Tremor and then do a rear anti-sway bar. Would 38x13.5's fit on the 2.5"?
I am considering the signature suspension but wondering what your thoughts are with add air bags since I tow quite often?
It's in the top pinned comment on this video!
@@CJCOffRoad I do not see it please help me youtube CJC lol.
So does the commuter system with the fox shocks offer an even better ride? The price difference is only 180$ by the time you add the track bar to this setup.
it offers slightly more damping, which is only really noticeable when you hit a large impact or dip!
Can I run 38x13.5x18 with a -12 or even -18 offset in a 2023 f350 tremor with this leveling kit? Tnx much
Wish ford made the tremor in a supercab package.
If you don’t mind, shoot us an email and we can help you balance the budget and parts needs so you can go in stages! Sales@cjcoffroad.com

You’ll need to trim the fender liner and plastic cap at the corner of the fender. You’ll like likely need to remove the flaps with 37s too.
@@CJCOffRoad great info! Thanks
What do you know think are some good factory options to get if you don’t get the tremor?
You guys had to trim for the wheels and tires?
So what all did you sell from the stock components? Also how much should I ask for?
Do you know the new ground clearance with the suspension & tire change on this tremor?
Ride Height loos perfect!
Probably close to 2.5" in the front when it's all said and done
What point? The front axle? Happy to measure!
@@CJCOffRoad That would be great! Front & Rear Diff if those are the 2 lowest points for ground clearance.
@@Austinamp front and rear diffs are both about 10.5” off the ground, but keep in mind that tire diameter is the only way to change that number!
@@CJCOffRoad thank you!

NOTE: the video below (Part 2) shows how to activate the Torsen by applying pressure to the brake.....and the accelerator

3. Ford Tremor Diagonal Test - NO Need for Locker or 4WD (Something the Power Wagon CANNOT do)

If you never go off road there’s no need for the Back Country, but it does improve off road capability and adds some extra damping!
How wide and what back spacing are you running on this set up? The wheels are perfect and are flush with the side. Looks great!
This truck is on a 5" backspace wheel!
@@CJCOffRoad Is it 9in wide wheel? +6 offset then?
@@CJCOffRoad Which would put you at a +6 offset?
it should be a 0" offset if you look at the innov8 specs on their website.

How much trimming is required with those wheels and tires? 18x9 5” Backspace?
Ford just kills it with the sport package on the super duty. Awesome looking build keep the great videos coming. Any reason you don’t offer anything for the f150??
We’re all about solid axle trucks so we figure we may as well focus on what we do best!
@@CJCOffRoad understood
in 7 days we get the B&P for the 21 F150 Tremor, which should help fill the gap on buyers who want a off road truck without the price tag, or excessive size of a Raptor.
Torn between this and the 2.5 commuter ford my tremor
Will you be adding that kit on this truck anytime soon?
What would yield the better ride quality/control
Both are fantastic setups, but the Commuter does offer a little more control and damping. They feel extremely similar around town, but the Commuter is smoother and more planted on a large impact. We have no plans for airbags though! Those ruin travel, articulation, and make the ride even stiffer than the factory F-350 rear springs on the Tremors already are!
so it's twin tube? arent monotube shocks pretty much always better?
How did you make the speedometer correct after adding 37s?
On your last truck you had the G600's. Do you like the G500's more? I can't decide which to buy.
It's completely a style preference! Either way both are fantastic looking wheels.
@@CJCOffRoad well damn, that was no help at all! 🤣
Woot woot 👍🏼🇺🇸
I’m looking to do this to my 21 Tremor with the 7.3. Is the track bar needed?. I’ve seen some videos that it’s very similar to the factory Tremor.
We highly recommend it. It will help keep the axle in the correct position, and improves a pretty common wear point on these Super Duty trucks.
@@CJCOffRoad Thanks for the reply!. I’ll definitely get one.🤝
How does this effect payload/towing capacity?
This system has zero impact as it retains the factory rear leaf springs.
If I went with the Carli rear springs would it affect max tow capacity on a F-350?
Will this suspension upgrade affect the payload capacity and towing capability?
Only if you change the rear springs to do so. In this case the truck is on completely factory rear springs, meaning it retains factory payload.
So towing...like you said its not supposed to match a powerwagon.....so making it a "softer" suspension what did you do to ultimately to the towing and payload capacity?
The truck in this video has factory rear leaf springs, meaning factory payload and towing specs!
@@CJCOffRoad what load range were on those tires
Would the same system work without the tremor? If I understand, I can install? I am pretty handy, but no major tools.
Absolutely! The Tremor suspension is nearly identical to the normal Super Duty trucks!
What did you do to calibrate the speedo for the 37's?
Forscan is a good program
im looking to do this to my 2020 f250 6.7.. are the parts in stock?
Why do I want a leveling kit? Serious question, new guy here
The whole goal of these systems is just to improve ride and suspension travel.
I'm looking to get the Ram CCLB, hemi 6.4 though. Want to float like a cloud. I guess I'll have to throw a package together and have it get shipped to TX

The sway bar offers additional clearance compared to stock, but curing your rubbing depends entirely on your exact wheel and tire specs.
Minus the wheels and tires, what did this setup cost? Just in parts? Also, what is the final ride height? Top of cab

It’s not impacted by suspension changes!
How are you running a D rated tire?? Did you really buy a HD for paved driving?
This tire has a 3,525 pound load rating, which is more than a lot of E loads. There's more to tires than just the letter!
How much rake did you maintain after the coils? Just got my '22 Lariat, and am wanting to do the Carli coils up front and the Tremor block in the rear.
Maybe .5” or so? That’s exactly what’s on the truck in this video!

Can you shed any light on what trimming was required to run 37's? Was going to do 35's again but I mean, why not? Haha
I want to get this kit but this guy keeps mentioning that F350 leaf Springs are rough ride, should I buy a truck that's actually not a tremor?
If you want to keep the factory leaf springs, yes unless you need the capacity of an F-350.
Can I get 37's on a stock Tremor Suspension with a bit of trimming? Also, do you guys re-gear for 37's?
Yes and re-gear completely depends on the customer. 99.99% of Tremor customers just keep the factory gears since they’re happy with them!
Just curious how this suspension change affects towing and hauling capabilities ???
This retains full factory payload and towing specs!
Regarding final height, assuming you kept stock wheels and tires, the rear height stays the same, and the front is lifted 1" with this kit?
This particular truck had a height increase of 2.5” up front and 0 in the rear.
@@CJCOffRoad Thx! And what would be the increase front and rear on the Tremor with the 2.5" Backcountry kit? Same?
The Tremor is a bit taller than a normal FX4 correct? So if you had just an FX4 with that kit would you only be able to run 35s?
The end height of either truck with this system is identical since you’re replacing the factory coils. You can run 37s on either with some trimming, or 35s with no trimming.
Hey man I am getting ready to upgrade to a new truck. I just want a truck that i don't have to do anything to. Is the tremor worth it over the regular f250?
yes, and I say that as a 2020 F350 Tremor owner. the offroad modes alone are worth the price tag, not to mention the other bits you get with it. NOW.. if you can actually find one, good luck lol.
Can you run this setup with 35’s?
How do those shocks compare to the ones that come in the computer system?
These ones are going to be a slightly more budget friendly choice, but pack almost the same performance. The Key difference is that these shocks do not have different tuning for gas and Diesel engines like the Commuters do. That said Carli does offer separate coils for both engines with either kit.
