Question for you, I have a 2017 F250 with the 6.7. I decided to use Platinum Blue DEF, instead of just regular Blue DEF. Soon after, the check engine light came on. About a month later, I filled my DEF tank with regular Blue DEF and the check engine light went off. Do these trucks not like the Platinum DEF?
@@miketonon7946have you received a recall for the DEF tank heater? Could be that is the issue. Mine has come on and gone off several times. Need to get it into the dealer for the fix.
Hey Big bro, I hope your well. Things are OK over here on my side of the Pacific. You know, the air show is coming up. Grab Rainman Ray and come to Japan for a few days. You would love it here. Take it easy dood!!😊😊😊
dang, $100 for that little guy, Limitless knows they have something a lot of people want! I'm a Ham Radio guy (so I'll be installing multiple 2-Way radios in my '22 F-250), and when I ordered my F-250 I specifically ticked the box for the upfitter switches so I wouldn't have to mess around with poking crap through the firewall. I knew about the 5 Amp fuse "flip", but I resided myself to only being able to have two radios running while the truck was off... apparently not anymore! Not gonna lie... I'll probably buy this, especially if its that freaking easy to install. Thanks for video!
I never had this problem/dilemma...my truck is also an 04, so it never had upfitters. But for those of you with upfitters this a no brainer and easy to diy. Thanks for sharing ARod.
Spiffy. I had a ‘17 F-550 service truck, learned about the 5,6 fuse trick early on but got to re-engineer the 1-4 switches to have power at all times. To find a safe practical work around the battery saver relay and not back feed power to ECM’s was a fun challenge, even for this ASE cert master mechanic. After that exercise I started telling people I think Ford hired former NASA engineers to develop their electrical and electronics systems.
I wanted to retrofit those outfitter switches in my Explorer. Until I saw how proud Ford is about those things. No way I'm going to shell out $600 for a switch bank.
Great video I’m in Australia and I’m about to get my new 2023 F150 lariat. Do you know if I can fit up fitter switches? These are US spec F150s that are converted here in Australia by Ford to right hand drive. Really appreciate the help.
Great, another job you do one handed in 10 minutes, so that means at least an hour, dropping that little fing hook and fishing it out and getting the pillar back to factory look. Thanks....thanks a lot..... Lol
Awesome video. Still baffled how you film and work with one hand :). I agree that Rich's stuff is really cool and he has stuff that make things much simpler. What kind of rear lights did you use or recommend?
In the beginning A-Rod you said you have your number 5 switch hooked to aux lights under your bumper and they also work in reverse as well. I searched but maybe missed it do you have a video on how you made this happen? Just working about back feeding a module and causing problems. Old 2015 super duty I did it with a relay but maybe a better way now in the newer trucks.
You need to do a plug in your vid for discount code for limitless. I typed in AROD just to see what it would do and what do you know it gave me a discount. Awesome

A question if I may. I was under the Impression that Ford used 2 different headliners with respect to Aux. Would apply to 17 - 19 Duties. Am I correct ? Thanks for you being you.
Quick question about electronics. If your SD is certified as a Camper package with a 360 camera system why does the camera system go dead when you remove the tailgate? It remains dead even with the jumper harnesses. I’m referencing our new 2023 F350 that hauls a slide in truck camper.
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod so the entire 360 camera system shuts down when we remove the tailgate that has one of the 360 cameras mounted in it. The 12” screen go blue and doesn’t function at all. Once we plug in the tailgate harnesses it’s back up and operational
That is all gonna depend in where you get it. Someone would have 2 look up the appropriate information with your vin and the cross ref the catalog to see what your truck could have came with, IF we're trimmed out.....
